WoW had these issues when it was released.

Hell some servers went down for over a week early on.

Well WoW was a online game. So unable to play an online game because of the server/internet issue is still understandable.

But the online aspect of Diablo 3 was forced onto many of us. Many of us are not happy to register online when we just want to play the single player part only. And because of this online decision, we cannot play the game because of many server issue, even 2 weeks after the release, and have to deal with the risk of getting our account hacked, not just battlenet account, but possibly email account because the email account is used as the id.

Diablo 3 is a total fvck up, there is just no excuse for Blizzard anymore.

2 things I'd like to see changed (gameplay-wise):

1) Up the level cap. Having some ridiculous level cap like in D2 made you feel like your character still had some slow progress to make that could make it a BIT more powerful vs endgame, it made farming slightly more rewarding. You can balance the mobs for it in different ways I assume.
2) Interesting magical qualities. 1.2% life steal? 2 damage reflected back to mob? come on, make it something more interesting than that so we can care about more than just vitality and class-specific str/dex/int.
From what I understand they're working on this right now.

I do remember old D2 - rares were indeed the best, Uniques were only Normal-level so useless EXCEPT for a few %-scaling ones (SOJ, Frostburn etc). However, they had nearly 10 years to look at D2:LOD to see the good ideas, so there is no real reason WHY D3 should slowly evolve like D2.

We shall see (or MWO will come out in July and I won't play D3 ever again as I'm a huge mech fan).

hating Inferno A3 more than I ever hated A2 on my solo Witch Doctor

A2 felt like I just needed to put out a lot of effort at times against elite packs

A3 its I kill some stuff die, kill some stuff die. run into an elite pack, lead them to some area of the map I will never see again and die. kill some stuff die, and repeat

my WD finally got through the beginning catapult quests and is in the Keep. I can tell the Keep is going to be absolute hell for me.

I just want to reach Tyrael and start doing Siegebreak runs.

Lod ruined d2 for me and I was glad I only transferred one character to it and kept the rest with the original game.

Between making major skills useless and making you restart a character to be able to kill some units with certain immunity's as there was no way to reset your skills for so long, adding a bunch of crap you had to store in your limited inventory like the charms, and the runes that simply caused a hackers wet dream because of how overpowered they were with dupes.

Anytime you give your email account out you run that risk but it's up to you to protect that.

Hit the "Change Quest" (I think?) Button when selecting your Monk and you can select his Last quest. No idea why it was changed but anyway, that may be it.

Yeah unless he lost all of his stuff, in which case bad things would happen doing that. I was set to the very beginning when I all my stuff vanished.

So in the brief few moments when the AH is available is there really a market for 500,000-2,000,000+ items that are sub 60?

Every 4-5 levels Ill hop out of my game to check the AH to see if I can improve my gear and inevitably every time I kick off a search there is usually a dozen or so people who believe their level 42 XXX is worth many many hundreds of thousands if not a million or more gold. In some cases these are honestly good items and in some cases mediocre. I cant seem to fathom the person who would want to drop that amount of gold for an item a toon will use for several hours until its time to upgrade again. Even if you are twinking an alt because you have the gold you are usually powering through levels so the 50k XXX that’s 80% the stats of the 1.2M one is a far better choice.

Now when you hit 60 I can see the price ceiling explode as you are no longer leveling past your equipment and a truly awesome piece could be with you for a long time. So is there a lot of movement on these ludicrously expensive items? Am I too much of a gold pincher or is there just a lot of people that are just delusional?

I still believe the AH has a lot of work to be done. People are throwing up their mediocre items for ridiculous prices hoping that an idiot will buy them. Some win, some lose. There still really isn't a guide to base your item value on.... everyone is still guessing. The "trade" part of D3 will evolve just like it did in D2 eventually.

Everyone is bitching how it's crashing or shutting down or not working.... give it time. D2 wasn't a perfect gem out of the box either.

That's why when I'm shopping for low lvl gear I put a max price of like 3000 gold in my search. For a quick update after a few levels it's not worth spending much.

I've already been starting to transition to glass cannon gearing

the play style of "pray you kill them before they kill you" just isn't fun though and is mindless

Most of inferno is gimmacky like this. You have to fight these 5 second burst dmg fights with zero hp and rely on your spirit walk and spirit vessel to let you dps as a glass cannon while being invulnerable. Unfortunately, when bosses hit you for 250k, I learned pretty fast that my 80k hp build was just not viable anymore (past mid A3 inferno). So the only option is to go with 10k hp, but 70k dps and just literally never get hit.

at least with the poison dart build there were decisions and reactions to be made. Zombie Bears is mindless. Dire Bats is somewhat similar to poison dart in that I'll be kiting with Dire Bats except I need to run Vision Quest to maintain Dire Bats use which is playing with fire in Inferno to keep it up.

yea when i search i put in a 10k max and just see whats there, normally there are plenty of great upgrades there, if you go to 20k you see even more, people charging 5 mill for some lvl 50 rare or lvl 30 legendary are not selling much if at all

My achievements got fubared during the server burp last night. I didn't get credit for finishing the as all off the sudden some of the quest no longer showed completed and some of the books I read and other stuff also vanished.


Good thing blizz canned a bunch of their customer support peeps a couple months ago.

Thats why I liked Titan Quest. You can reset your skills whenever you like, theres loads of storage in game and an easy to use Vault Mod, and the relics had a special spot on your equipment next to body armor and boots.

So I just finished nightmare... and I noticed most bosses don't bother dropping yellows anymore. What happened? Every single boss I killed in normal dropped some sort of yellow (crappy ones but they were yellow). Now the only yellows I see are from random drops or elites. Did they change something?
