How do you guys deal with those 'anti-melee' mobs with lasers that rotate or that spawn pits of lava around themselves, or that drag chains across each other and trap you? Some of them do all of the above, and I haven't found a good way to deal with them other than by teaming up with a range class.
I mean if you play a barbarian or monk, I know how the range classes deal with them. Kiting.
Oh god that guy is a genius... He has this incredibly moody and eerie style, unlike nothing else Ive heard
Makes me wanna play Torchlight 2 if his music is in it
You'll have to kite as a melee. but if they're a fast/vortexing with fire chains then you're probably fucked anyways
Which of the 3 ranged classes (WD, Wiz, DH) have the best survivability? Which has the best DPS?
here is a question, wtf it kiting? Is that some wow term that made its way to diablo?

Not sure if trolling...
Anyway, kiting means keeping the mobs at distance while you DPS them and never let them come close to you. Especially important for a caster...
That term has been around a lot longer than wow.
Yeah. Unfortunately, this game isnt that. Heh. Not sure who the people are who designed D3 or who work for the current Blizzard, but it feels like they are a little amateurish if you ask me. I could have made many elements of D3 better myself. They should have hired me. : /
Killed Siegebreaker in Act 3 Inferno tonight (solo). Wiz with 24k life, 22k dps, 50-60% resists, and some serious survival skills.
The hardest part in getting to him, was the first few areas, but once I got to the 'destroy the siege engines' all the way to Siegebreaker, it really wasn't all that hard. Now this is a 22k dps wiz speaking, not some 40-60k dps wizards we hear about. Survivability is key imo.
Siegebreaker was actually pretty easy. I forgot to bring Blizzard, so I just dropped Hydra's, and ran around him in a big circle so he couldn't charge me and 1 shot me. Took awhile, but super-easy. Gonna farm the hell out of him and the span to him for the buff tomorrow. Fingers crossed for a 1k dps 1h.

mind letting me know where this resplendent chest is?
One thing I would be careful of. I was playing my wizard in Nightmare and came across some lightning bats. It appeared that the more I electrocuted them, the more of them there were. I couldn't swear to it (it was late at night and I had been playing for hours) but I was pretty sure that the electricity actually spawned more creatures.
On a separate note, I was curious. If you guys had to rate the big bosses based on toughness to defeat, how would it go? For me, it would be:
1. Balial
2. Diablo
3. Asomdan
It might simply have been that Balial was the first major 'Big Boss' that I encountered, and that, by the time I faced Diablo i was anticipating a tough fight and was ready for it, but I honestly felt (based on appropriate level) that the Balial fight was the toughest (for me).
Any others have this?
My friend last night dropped a 800 dps 1h bow for me, and switching it out for the bow I was using on that hand (about 550 dps) and it jumped my DPS up by 6k. Now I'm sitting at 45k dps, 25k life, 300 resists and act 2 is a bit easier now. I'm a DH fyi.
Can do a solo inferno Butcher run with 5 stacks in about 20 minutes (did a run before work this morning haha). Act 2 is much harder.
How do you guys get THAT much DPS, i mean i am a wizard and now have a 900+DPS weapon and 1585 INT ...getting 29K DPS but *with* the magic weapon buff. How on earth do you get 45k DPS with "only" a 800 dps wep? What are your stats?
By the way i more or less just hit 60 and i am using a 2H mace. When i look for a wep on the AH i look at DPS as well as highest possible min-max dmg as well as INT on it and preferrably also Attack speed and/or crit dmg. Still dont think i would get to 45k DPS.
