Wow, grats.

69575 kills (2992 elites), 160 hours played, zero legendaries. Oh well, thrill of the hunt I guess.

I had a legendary belt drop today (selling it on AH as I don't have a wizard, and its very much a wizard item) and it dropped off a champion. Not even a particularly hard champion.

I have a level 60 Barb, Inferno Act 2 owns me.

I have a level 60 WD, hit Inferno Act 4 last night then took a break. Act 3 has destroyed my hopes of farming beyond Act 2 with him at this time.

I have a level 20 DH as of now and progressing nicely.

Found this while playing with PimpJuice and friends. I've found four or five Legendary items thus far but this is far and away the best.

Your yellow ring is not that great. Go to the AH and buy an Intellect ring with 15% ias on it.

so i just started Hell on my wizard and every fing elite pack in act 1 was shielding or discrete shielding.. good god that sucks

Good idea. Only thing to consider is that I "think" that the only enemy in A1 Inferno who drops lvl 60 items is the Butcher, which is what a lot of people will be grinding for.

I'm pretty sure that Level 60 items can drop from Elite packs in Act 1 Inferno, maybe not early on but I'm sure I found at least one Lvl 60 Rare starting from the Highlands maps if I recall correctly. I do remember finding one (I'm 99.9% sure about that) from a pack of Elites in some Watchtower (it's a crypt-like level, indoor), and that crypt was in one of the Highlands map (that Watchtower doesn't always spawn, it's part of an "extended" part of the Highlands map to the eastern borders of those maps when it does spawn).

In the next patch I think Blizzard said they will expose the item's levels when you move your cursor on them, so we'll finally know for sure what item levels can be found in Act 1 Inferno. But anyway yeah I'm pretty sure that some Elite packs can drop them, maybe not ALL Elites can drop them though, since I'm sure that their loot table is varied enough to have lower level items in there that would drop more often.

I really hate it when I get jailed, then right after it opens up the elite pulls me to him and rofl-stomps me with a 1 shot, has happened multiple times and I have 29k HP with 2600 Armor :/

I had a funny time helping a friend beat Belial in hell mode, I just did the whole VQ/Zombie bear with BBV Rain Dance combo and smoked him in like 10 secs on phase 3. Was funny.

Agreed, many times I will log in to check on them. Not like I am auctioning some high dollar stuff though, max I got for an item was 60k one time. Most of the stuff is around 5k, I low ball it

Skip packs that you don't need to kill. It is how I progressed on mine.

WDs can solo A2. there will be the occasional elite pack that needs to be skipped or led away from where you want to go, but that is just the life of a witch doctor

it's A3 that becomes the roadblock if trying to just purely solo through it.

there are so many projectiles in A3 that can 1 shot unless stacking defensive gear, but then it's going to take forever to kill A3 mobs/elites

It's not supposed to be great, one of my buddies found it last night and I threw it on until I hit lvl 60 (which I am about to do), figured I'd regear all at once.

Wish I could my man but dont have the funds at the moment, My one hander is 677 dps with 72 int and 86 vit, mojo is 100-300 damage with 4%life but no int. Will save up for sure. Current DPS is around 26k with Pierce of Veil on I believe, maybe a slight bit higher. 2.14 attacks per sec

Yeah ACT 1 was pretty much garbage for me. I found a decent pair of pants and a decent mojo but thats about it. And I have a decent amount of Magic Find on my gear, around 40-50% I think

I have a lv 57 Wizard I may get to lv 60 sunday If I have the time. I will be working a lot of 12 hrs days next two week so I don't no if I can help anyone but If i get to inferno tomarow I will post it and help if I can.
I am dont have very good gear i just buy items when I start getting killed a lot. still takes me 2 to 3 times to figure how to kill some of the Boss's in Hell but I can always do it.
The elites always seem to give me a hard time takes for ever for me to kill them running around a circle lol.

My son told me that some Wizard went threw Inferno using life stealing items odd that a Wizard would tank, the mobs hit so hard from what I read.
I also saw a vid on youtube were a DH took out the butcher in like 2 sec. He also showed taking out Diablo very fast wasn't as fast as the Butcher but that was mainly do to the difrent stages in killing him.

I took a week off and played a little tonight and that is where I am at. There are times even when I popped my shadow thing to make me immune for 1.5 secs that I still can't get to an area that doesn't have that crap on the floor. After 3 times of it happening I shut it off.

I think he's referring to the first person/character to beat Inferno which was a Wizard using Force Armor + some rune and +Life regen while going glass cannon and stacking lots of Int

I think the Force Armor rune reduced any hit that would deal more 35% of a person's HP total to deal 35% of it

Blizzard has since did some change to it and it's now possible to be 1 shot while using Force Armor + that rune

the DH you're talking about is probably Athene and his legion of fans have fed him items/gold to be able to do that

I just got to Act II, in Inferno, with my Barbarian.

I... can confirm that from this point you either just blindly keep going because you really feel like it, or you pretty much start leveling a new class. To be honest I didn't necessarily expect that myself, I read about it from other Barbarian players whom also got to Inferno but I was still playing Hell a few days ago. I would say that the first Act is very "do-able", but Act II is a nightmare (well it's an inferno now). I literally got two-shot by a Sand Wasp right from the starting quest when we meet the Enchantress, and I laughed. I changed my skills around a bit but... even if I do have an "Act II-efficient" build going I'll still need much better gear from this point.

I do 28.7K DPS, of course about double that from critical hits (around 60K I think with crits since I have some crits damage-enhanced rings), got around 5.2K armor with WarCry + Impunity Rune (resist non-physical damage by 20%). The thing is I've always been playing all that time with a 2-handed, I went with Maces for increased Critical Hit chances (I'm at 43% to crit). It worked well in Act I, but I found myself using many single-target-focused skills more than anything else. I usually go with Cleave + Rupture for AoE, worked marvelously well from Normal to Hell, "well enough" I guess for Act I Inferno but I often had to switch to Bash, or going with Hammer of Ancients + Smash... that or also Charge + Ram (283% weapon damage at the targeted area).

Anyway, my play-style, my build, my gear... by now in Act II Inferno is pretty much going down the drain due to obvious inefficiency. I was of course expecting Inferno to be "ridiculously hard", but not that much really. All of my items are Level 59 or 60, most of them are Level 60, all of them are Rares with important stats and my Mace has 943 DPS on it (got it from the AH for only 80K Gold, go me). Now the thing is... even if I magically received a 1,500+ DPS weapon I would STILL need some godly armor pieces to resist anything. Speaking of which (resists), with WarCry I only have around 220 resists (not to everything, others are around 180 or so), so no wonder why those little poisoned wasps hit me two times and I die.

And, yes, Wrath of the Berserker is often needed... if not simply required to kill Elites, and I would say that it's something which applies perhaps even in the first Act. I mean in Hell I used it by choice, but in Inferno you absolutely need to have actual control over your DPS and where it goes, I can't rely on Earthquake or stuff that is fixed on the ground since I need to kite pretty much all Elite packs I encounter, so at least we DO have Wrath of the Berserker. I just wish we could have more liberty of choice when it comes to builds in Inferno, but I have the feeling that at least as far as Barbarians go we'll pretty much have to rely on maybe one or two "known" builds that are "doing better than the rest", if they do exist.

Anyway... I needed a break after just starting Act II, I have yet to finish the first map to find and interrupt the cultists, those Wasps (not even the main Wasps, but their little ones going in a straight line) and I'm sure many other mobs will give me a hard time. At least I did level up two other classes, I have a Monk and a Demon Hunter, both are Level 54 in Hell Act 1 so... I think I'll give a go with a Demon Hunter. I feel that if I ever want to give a more serious try to Inferno I'll definitely need to leave my Barb behind until I farm items (or Gold, to buy them) with another class first, and then perhaps gear up my Barb for Inferno from that farming.

Any other Barb players feel the same in Inferno? Anyone got a "good enough" build for it?

Lol just wait until Act 4 Inferno. There is absolutely no reason to have Vitality since everything will one shot you. My demon hunter does okay and has 5K life.

Act 3 Inferno and my WD has pretty much given up.

Killing mobs is like repeatedly bashing your head off a brick wall and hoping that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I just hate the whole VQ/ZB build and my favourite Locusts are just ineffective against such high HP mobs.

Time to go back to the Barb (51) or the Monk (39) I think. Not enjoying the DH much (35) or the Wizard (10).

EDIT: I've found over 20 Legendary items via MF'ing in Act 1 and Act 2 Inferno, including several level 60's (Calamity, Hellrack, The Grandfather) and only one has been 'good' and that was a pair of Blackthorne's Breeches which I lost when I was hacked and rolled back.

Just started inferno and the only thing people really do is run into a dark cellar, clear it, tp back to town, go do the first Haedrig quest, then leave the game, and repeat. I thought since so many people were doing it they might be onto something but I did that method for a solid hour wearing full magic find gear (almost anyways, 130% mf) and didn't find any good items really. The way people talk about inferno I wonder if i should just give up right now

Just need to find a couple korean players to play with, those folks are dedicated.
