Like why the heck did they tie damage (from spell or summonable) tied to DPS of the weapon in your hand? probably because they want you to buy better weapons in the AH?

In my view, the damage a wizard does with a spell, or a zombie dog does, should in no way reflect the weapon the toon has in their hand. A monk should still be formidable with nothing in his hands what so ever (and no equipment that Augments his abilities). Because he is a Monk.

The DPS for weapons is just plain ridiculous.

Can someone jump me past Act II Quest 7 on Inferno? I've been stuck on that forever. I cant find the damn second cave of whatever and the open areas are just so much harder then the halls.

The way the loot system works is so fucking ridiculous its killing the enjoyment of the game. The only way to get good gear is to farm the AH for deals. I can run butcher runs all day with no problem, but every single drop I get is level 52-57 and its all junk that wont even sell on the AH for more then a couple k and the difficulty increase to try to farm Act II is just insane.

Best farming spots in Act 3? I am tired of Act 2 treasure goblins and just 1 shot Belial Inferno. Any ideas? BTW, broken ass DH here so I can tear through just about anything.

Spells and Summons scaling with weapon damage is definitely the right move even if it doesn't make logical sense. The issue has been in RPGs forever. A weapon upgrade for melee is a huge dps boost but there's no equivalent item for casters. This fixes that issue.

Siegebreaker run

clear to Siegebreaker and kill any elites along the way then

go into Underbridge if it spawned, kill the elites in there and I think a chest may spawn in there then

go to Keeps Level 1 WP and check if chest is there and any elites along the way then

go to Keeps Level 3 WP and kill the elite that is usually nearby it then

go to Stonefort and check if an elite spawned near the top of the stairs, if not then go into the the bonfire area and clear until you find an elite

if you still don't have 5 NV by this time, then go to battlefields and find elites to get you to 5 stack then kill Siegebreaker

you'd probably enjoy absolutely destroying Whimsyshire. everything is melee in there and most mobs in there don't run that fast.

So, has anyone else noticed the horrid collision detection when fighting belial? I swear I'm not just making up excuses for not being able to kill him because I do/have but I noticed tonight that I was getting hit by his poison bombs or whatever when I wasn't in their graphic but not always. It's bad enough that they will almost 1 shot me, let alone getting raped when I'm not near anything blowing up. /hate melee, still but I really don't want to reroll just yet... not sure why not though

That could be, I guess I just didn't notice it until I was getting blown up instantly... It's kinda funny, I never had those sort of issues playing WoW and it appears to the same/similar engine.

Meh, the game is just stupid right now. Beat it up until hell and either re-roll a new char or move on to another game like most have. It's not worth the frustration

you'll still definitely notice hit detection BS on ranged attacks and some melee attacks as a ranged character

Diablo 3 game mechanics rewards gear and while skill can come into play, D3 mechanics doesn't reward it very much

Jay Wilson's fingerprints are all over Diablo 3 and Diablo 3 is a fun but very flawed game because of Jay Wilson's influence on D3

I made a DH, gets 1 shot in inferno. Progressing through act 2, fast and damage reflection suck.

I have 53k dps without SS. I have only skipped one mob that was just annoying as crap to try to kill. Everything else has died.

Thought I'd chime in for people wanting to try out further acts or asking for waypoints - you can do this yourself.

If you are in Inferno, you can access any waypoint in Inferno, including acts you haven't gotten to yet. The reason so many 1k dps weapons appeared on the AH early is due to this menu glitch. You can run a series of A4 Inferno jars, chests, and weapon racks without ever having to fight a single mob. I've found about 10 1k dps weapons (925-1010ish) doing this - Resume Game and 2 minute smash and grab repeated endlessly.

Select Hell Prime Evil quest, and start the game. Take the waypoint to the collonade/Pinnacle of Heaven. Exit the game after taking the waypoint. Join a public game in Inferno for that same quest - this will now be available, even though you haven't gotten that far. Join that game and take the waypoint, and exit.

Now you should see on your character screen, that quest with Inferno below it. Resume game and you are in Inferno where you just played Hell. Take the lvl 1 wp, and there is an area where you can open chests, break jars, and check weapon racks for drops. Sometimes mobs drop out of the sky; just run and pickup any blues/yellows, which may take 5+ games til you see a single one, but once you are used to this, you can do it in under 2 minutes. Simply Resume, smash chests and check any weapon racks and chests for your slight chance at 1k+ dps weapons.

Choose the last A4 Hell quest (sub quest), and you have access to all A4 Inferno waypoints doing this. You can buy the Inferno Herding Staff recipe this way also (after Izual quest) from the merch by the healer, so you can run A1 Whimsyhshire.

I think I'm done now, having beat it on Normal, Nightmare, and Hell. Inferno is ok, but it doesn't take your skill into account when a jailor, molten, arcane, mortor, invulvnerable, fast mob spawns, they are simply impossible. And if I have to grind and grind to get good gear to progress, it just isn't fun anymore. It's a game, it shouldn't be tedious or work-like. It should be creative and fun. Fun while it lasted, but in hindsight, it was addictive, but not really that enjoyable to play (I didn't smile or laugh while I played, I went between annoyed by hundreds of rough edges and outraged at certain design decisions to frustrated from wiping repeatedly to just numb with all the tedious grinds). But that's Blizzard these days, gone are the days of Warcraft I and II, now they just put out addictive, grind games and hope to hook as many as they can and make cash. They used up all their goodwill in my book. But for those still into it, enjoy!

Talk about bullshit...A3 hell, I run across a yellow name with invlunerable minions and other stuff. But he's off by himself thank god, and I pull him away without any minions. He dies.

I advance a few more paces and there's his invulnerable minions waiting on me...still alive and with NO WAY TO KILL THEM.

Just found the "String of Ears" legendary belt. Apparently it is worth at least a million in gold because of its unique "Reduce Dmg from Melee %" attribute:

Reduces Damage from Melee: 17%
Armor: 253
Resist All: +16
Poison Resist: +24
Each hit Adds +67 Life
+3% Life
+91 Armor
Health Globes Grant +1757 Life

Found this fighting the snakes outside at the Khasim Outpost in Act II Hell.
