Definitely.

Blizz gets $1 + 15% to transfer to paypal, paypal gets more people using paypal + their normal 15%.

So to sell an item is essentially 30% + $1 to do so.

Where does the extra 15% come from? I'm pretty sure the 15% that Blizzard lists is the Paypal fee. Unless you've heard something else, it should just be -$1 from Blizzard and -15% (post $1 reduction) from PayPal.

with the RMAH release and the GAH prices way to high for a normal person (I average 3 hours a day and only have 2 mil) to get anything worth while and the drop system that leaves me stuck in act2 inferno, I think Im done with this game. Hopefully blizzard will fix this game with some patches cause I want to play it. It's just I have no reason to play it right now cause I cant farm gear that will get me past act2 inferno (the items just wont drop cause of crap drop system) and prices in AH are insane. Hope to be playing again soon but Im not holding my breath that blizzard will fix anything. Most likely they will nerf more classes before they fix things that need fixing

This whole game is really centered around farming gear to get better stuff. If you've reached the point where you don't want to do it, then it's time to say gg to Diablo 3 and move on to another game or hobby. Nothing wrong with that, doesn't mean the game is broken. That's just how it is.

I dont think I made my point clear. The game doesnt drop gear in act1 inferno that will help me progress into act2. And act2 doesnt drop gear that will help me progress past act2. The drop system is broken. I have no problem farming for hours if I got at least one peace of gear that helped me progress in the game. But as it is right now the only viable way to get gear is to use the AH and guess what? Prices are insane. In d2 I could farm for hours and get at least something that I could use, trade or, sell to get better gear and help me progress farther in the game. Not the case with the current version of d3.

The developers would say "You aren't supposed to be able to play Inferno Solo. It's a Multi-player game.". The Blizzard Fanbois will say "Level appropriate stuff drops. you just need to keep farming." personally, I say "They intend you to go to the Auction house as that is the focus of the game development." But then the Fanbois will attack, so maybe I won't say that.

if you got that far in the game and don't want to multi (which I totally get), then i would say understand that you had a good 60+ hour run. call it a day.

aren't they changing that with the new update? drops are different now for inferno

So I'm pretty much naked, put up 10 items to see what happens. Sold a ring instantly for $25 (15% IAS, 13x Dex, 26 Poison resist among other minor stats)

My balance still 0, figure they'll deposit $24 once it clears. Guess it's time to roll a new char now that I have no equipment.

Aww, hopefully, they implement a transfer later on. I'm not too worried though, I'm sure I'll be able to use it for future games. That or I buy my equipment back in a month at a deep discount.


edit: Well I just made my biggest sale, a 957dps fist with 15% IAS socketed with 300LoH gem for $100(I bought it for 2.5m gold just 2 weeks ago)

So for all intents and purposes, I just made back the purchase price of the game, my authenticator and possibly a free expansion.

There's no real point to even play this game anymore. The RMAH will determine what gets dropped in your game anyway. If there's already 50 Legendary Jock Straps of the Dingleberry on the RMAH, you can bet your dollar that your odds of finding it in your game just dropped by a thousand percent.

I cannot believe people actually support this practice.

I sold a nice weapon I bought a few days ago(190k) for $45. Decided to sell my main weapon as well, plus any other gear I have that's worth more than $10. Also waiting on some gold auctions to end, I should have held off on those
