Forgot to ask something about the RMAH. So, when you use SMS protect, how "intrusive" are the text messages?

I got one when I signed up, and another one when I tried to list my first "high ticket item" $99..

All the subsequent items I have listed ($49 & less) did not require me to re-certify.

They also say they will send a sms if any of your security related acct info changes.

Tyrael is still useful for maintaining aggro on mobs and buying time to not have their health reset when you die

a lot of good fixes in this hotfix release imo

So for a demon hunter build, it would be more like the wizard example, right? A two handed bow/crossbow is better than two one handed xbows or a shield?

So far for me, I've done the 2 handed xbow with a quiver and shield, and dual 1h xbows. It's hard to compare really, cause the bows all have different stats. However, over all, I do more dmg going dual crossbow route. Expanding the stats the overall dps is 900-1000 dmg less, but my attack speed is about double. So, even though the stated dps is less, I actually am doing more dmg and killing faster simply cause I'm firing bolts like mad. Now, my build is a traps kite build with hungering arrow and teeth. group build is still hungering arrow with teeth and.....crap can't remember cause I just made it last night before i went to bed. it's a straight dps build basically.

Thanks for the answers. Hmmm... Sounds like they send one initial confirmation code, then leave you alone unless you screw with your account. Otherwise, maybe there will be a random reconfirmation/check-in code... Could work.

Ok cool. I have both a wiz and dh stuck in act2 inferno because I cant kill belial lol.

For the wiz, use the following setup

energy armor/force armor is 100% necessary for the last part
then hydra and blizzard
shock pulse(piercing)
and magic weapon(force) unless you want to use another defensive skill to get through the first parts of the fight.
improved archon

The last part is really quite easy, just keep moving and it's not that hard to not get hit. If you do, force armor saves you. The hydra will do most of the work. You don't need archon on the last part so use it for the 2nd part of the battle. Keep your distance and let blizzard/hydra and your templar keep him busy.

I encountered my first "significant" bug so far.



I know the picture doesn't say much, but I FRAPS'ed it, I'll post it on my YouTube channel later and I'll submit a ticket to Blizzard as well.

[Look at my health bar, and see "Absorbed!" and "Dodged!"]

Basically, I was invincible at zero health points, kept dodging or absorbing hits, and I was "stuck" on a point from which I could barely move, kind of "pinned" to the ground where I stood, while that elite pack constantly fired at me, and while my Templar kept on bashing them (which I think wasn't doing any damage, as usual anyway). I just played as usual, clicked on one of them in the pack, then they popped their fire chain between themselves, surrounded me and as I tried to move out of their grasp (from the fire chains) I just became stuck. The thing is... getting stuck brought in that invincibility effect as well... weird. I couldn't hit them either, I could click on them, could see their name, their health, but my hits were not registering. And it wasn't lag either.

Additionally, all my skills' cooldowns were gone, but the skills were not working per se. I could click on them manually with my cursor or press my keyboard keys and the character's animation for any of the skills would play out, but without cooldowns, so the animations could be repeated as fast as possible even though the actual skill's intended effect wasn't applied (just the animation). So... I think that the bug consisted of the fact that I was supposed to be dead, the game thinks I am, but my character isn't, so the GUI works, the toon is still there, the animations play, the enemies can still see me, fire at me, but... I'm dead... but I'm still there lol... I'll let Blizzard have fun figure out the coding issues behind it.

It's the first time it happens to me, never saw it happen before in public games either, even from similar elites (with similar bonuses like fire chains and shields, etc). Anyone else saw that happen before?

There are 'buddy passes' floating around. I don't know the details of who gets them or how, and obviously they limit the game play (probably to some point in A1), but it should let you see how well your comp will handle it.

Its got decent stats, but they dont mesh well unfortunately. 181 vit is really good, but 18 resist all is a pretty low roll (though for a lvl 54 item I'm not sure it gets much higher than that), but the only other useful stat is the int, and most Wizards/WD's are far more concerned with other stats than vit. On the RMAH? Probly not worth a lot. But you could get a decent amount for it on the gold AH I'm guessing. Do a search for rings with min 70 int and min 175 vit, see what the prices are for those items. Keep in mind that other rings with those stats may have some other bonuses that increase their value, so don't try to charge in the same range as a ring with similar stats that also has 15% atk speed.

high vit on a ring like that is rare but it's just not very useful :/ other rings like that are expensive but I doubt anyone is buying them

Yeah, I wish they would code the game better so it was more like D2 where monsters will target your merc first or whoever is closer, then go for you. Not just bypass the merc and run straight at you. That cave is pretty difficulty actually and took me a while to get through too.

And to answer your question, I clear areas out so I can lure unbeatable mobs into then die so I can just run past them. Some packs are just impossible as certain classes. Clear side tunnels out so when you get a mob you cant kill, you can stick them in there.

I sold one last night for 750k gold (probably worth a LOT more in retrospect). It was something like:

+22 min damage
140 vit
30 resists
30 mf

Yep... probably sold it way too low. Made it past the million gold mark for the first time though! Then I used half of it to gear up my barb with resist gear... Finally over 450 base, which gets about 700 with the war cry.

haven't you heard, tickets aren't for bugs.

The 30mf is probably what boosted its value so much. 30 mf is worth A LOT more than 70 int or any of the other stats on the other guys ring.

+11% life (the highest it can roll, according my auction search)
2 sockets

thinking of putting it up for some real money. anyone think thats worth 50 bucks maybe?

I got my first legendary drop. It's only a level 54 item and not that great, but maybe it's a sign of better things to come, or so I'm hoping.

something similar happened to my girlfriend. She went invincible for about 10 minutes (though she could move, use spells do dmg and had full health)
After about 5 minutes we got a message saying server was going down in 15 mins for mait. so maybe that was it.
