Following the latest patch I felt like enemies once again did more damage while grouped, but when it's something mean like Molten or Fire Chains it's hard to tell since it does pretty substantial damage either way.

Also thinking only 20k people play this game, lol. Twice that many still play D2 on BNet the last time I was on there I think. There are likely 1-3M people on D3 at any given time, that graph was only for Crossfire users (people still use Crossfire?) and as I recall it was a snapshot of like 1am or something. Anyone expecting people to stay up all night playing D3 a month after release is severely out of touch.

Are you serious? Soloing is EASIER than partying in this game, if you try to do Inferno with friends it will only get worse

I was reading the Bnet forums and people were commenting on how the online population dropped from 20K on first week to 2K 1 month later, that goes to show what a wonder this game is

I don't pick up grays or whites, and if I accidentally click on one, I just toss it out. They're not worth the bag space.

I don't even know why Bliz designed the game to drop anything other than blues and above with the value of whites and grays the way it is. It's like they added the items for the sake of adding it but all it really does is clutter up the map and making it difficult to pick up actual items worth a damn.

The HP scaling is retarded... In D2 in a full game, mobs had about 4.5x more HP, so you did get a nice advantage when partying (keep in mind D2 allowed 8 players...)

The 20K players online thing has nothing to do with xfire but with public games, and when you consider the game sold 7 million copies, anything less than 100K people playing public at any given time is pretty terrible (and yeah, people are now claiming 2K US, 800 Asian (lol), 2.5K Europe)

I dont think the game is unfixable though like some people are claiming... Blizzard just keeps doing some terrible choices with every patch, thats what blows my mind... They cant fix one damn thing without making 10 others worse than they already were, wtf?

That and the lack of endgame in general... Just like someone up there mentioned, in D2 lvl 99 was so hard to get that you always had a reason to play, but here you reach lvl 60, and then what? What are you farming gear for? PvP isnt even in the game so its just completely pointless

Im also curious as to how they are gonna approach the level cap/expansion thing... Everyone is pretty much dead already, and adding a new act for each cap increase seems stupid... But then again, the story is so amazing that they can easily resurrect any character for no reason whatsoever and make it fit

Oh and I almost forgot to mention... Some people in this thread have obviously never played D2 and have no clue what they are talking about... D2 had no cooldowns? WHAT? LOL Not at launch, but they got added shortly after due to how broken stuff like Frozen Orb was

You also couldnt get SoJ from Normal Andariel, Normal Diablo was the first boss able to realistically drop it (I think Mephisto had it in his drop table but he wasnt high enough level or something)

Sounds like you needed a better guild. My guild pays for everything, and we even get a raider payout at the end of a raid tier that is usually (guild_bank_money - 200,000) / raiders. I think I made about 65,000g after Firelands.

My guild started to pay for repairs FINALLY. It sucked seeing all those repair bills. I have not raided since May 14.

Ok, then you may have misunderstood my post. I was by no means farming Butcher for money. I was just playing and noticed any lost money on repairs came back naturally when not slamming my head into a wall over and over.

Even the fact I couldnt kill Belial was just me being stubborn and not wanting to give up my stacks of NV. Several of my skills just dont make sense for a single target boss like him. I will kill him once I get home today. I woulda downed him on lunch if not for my connection crapping out right before his gate.

The graph was definitively Crossfire only, further it was not a population graph but rather a graph of hours played. Without a secondary index indicating population there is no data that can truly be gleaned from the graph except for "the same number of people are playing fewer hours" which is quite reasonable considering it is now over a month since the game's release.

What are you guys thinking of the RMAH? Have you used it?

I sold a bow for 20 bucks and have seen pretty good items for cheap.

Seems like the gold farmers are now spamming 2 dollars for 1m gold.. The items I see in the RMAH (Besides unreasonable 250 dollar people) seems like you get more for your money in the RMAH than the GAH.

Finally "borrowed" a sibling's number to get SMS to work while using Winauth. Haven't listed anything yet since I've been leveling my DH to 60 - now at 59 and a half. Will probably start once I get my DH to Inferno.

I've noticed that the lower end items in the gold AH have dropped a lot over the past week or two. Massive rise in supply of rare items, so lots of people trying to just get rid of things. I'm putting up reasonable items for dirt cheap now (<25k) and they don't sell most of the time.

i played d2 classic and SoJ's only spawned if you had the other 2 unique rings in-game already. and all spells were spammable and resource-limited. there were no cooldowns. you're probably talking about LoD patches, but i quit when runes were being duped en masse.

LoD was released only a year after D2 so yeah... And I actually played Classic until 1.10, when LoD finally became better (Classic 1.09 was really good IMO, doesnt get much better than that for a game)

OK, AGAIN I get fucked on AH. I bid on a pair of gloves, I'm winning, but bids are getting closer. So I up my max bid and it gives me an error that the bid failed. It now shows my bid as 0. I try to bid again on it...bid failed. This is NOT a case of anyone outbidding me. I find the gloves again by searching, it shows a lower bid than what mine was as now winning (it was probably the person behind me in the bidding process). The auction was almost over, and in the remaining 14 minutes no one else bid, and a bid that was LOWER than my bid ended up winning (so ironically I didn't have to increase my max bid after all). What a crock of shit.

it's not bid sniping though, it just invalidated my bid for no reason; I was WINNING, and then wanted to increase my max bid in case someone else passed mine, and it eliminated my bid completely.
