I'm a monk with a shield and prefer it to DW for multitude of reasons.

A. Shield can have +10% crit chance, coupled with block%, your resist and either dex, vit or both is a good trade off IMO.
B. Helm of command add another +8% block can also come with 4.5% crit rate.
C. Weapons with crit dmg and a socket are prohibitively expensive.
D. If you use sweeping wind with cyclones procs, the crit chance has an inherent dps bonus not found on the character sheet that may or may not overtake crit dmg bonus.

My crit rate is 40% and my dps is a measly 17k but I farm A3 fairly easily. 10k armor(buffed) 800 resist all, 35% block and ~35% dodge.

Actually I think that passive is extremely broken. I believe maces get chance to stun, mighty weapons get extra fury, axes/polearms get crit, and swords get damage bonus. But swords dont just get a damage bonus, they get a ridiculous damage bonus. (I think its either 25 or 35%, but can't double check atm) As a 2 handed barb I do not even look at a weapon unless it's a sword. Actually I don't look at weapons because I found a BEAST sword that would cost over 50 million to upgrade.

Two of the passives I picked for survivability, just in case I run into a really nasty champion combo pack. The other passives I don't see coming close to the 25% damage bonus at full rage.

Are you saying the weapon mastery passive for the sword is bugged? Because it gives 15% bonus for swords/daggers. Mage/axe gives 10% crit chance bonus.

Hmmm, my experience would back up what SS Trooper is saying above. I thought the same as you drunken, and was using the extra % damage at max rage. Switched it out to the weapon mastery passive and my damage went up. Sure enough, I'm using a sword! That is why I was mentioning to you to check with your other passives for damage.

I just looked it up(now that I can)

Swords/Daggers 15% damage
Maces/Axes 10% crit
Polearms/Spears 10% AS
Mighty Weapons 3 fury per hit

So it's definately more balanced then I thought, but it does leave something to be desired from Polearms/Spears and mighty weapons.

Just sold a -14 level 520DPS wand for 50,000, when I prolly could have got like 2mil for it. Some one is making a *very* lucrative flip on behalf of my stupidity. :| Oh well, at least I got something. I haven't been able to sell anything at all lately. First thing I've sold at all in prolly a week.

Anybody have any guides or articles on most sought after items, stats, pricing guides. It seems I don't really have a good sense of value of items yet. Mishaps like above, and nothing I put on AH or RMAH sells anymore.

Farm level 14-20 items with +exp (sells for 5000-10000) all day long.
Farm with MF gear on right before the elites die

How much does your DPS drop and other stuff improves when you put on a shield? One with nice armor and 20%+ block and resists should help out a lot as long as you still have ~25k DPS.

What jumps out at me is LoH at 0. I though you needed like 900 of that?

I assume you are dropping a DPS passive since I see your damage drop when your armor goes up. Plain and simple, your problem is you have no shield AND no life on hit. You need at least one, Revenge and Overpower (I assume you are runing it with life steal or dmg reduction) just aren't reliable enough for the amount of damage mobs put out in A3/A4 Inferno.

My Barb (just finished solo'ing Inferno Diablo with 5 stacks of Nephalem Valor a couple days ago) has almost identical resists, armor, and hitpoints. But I have only about 25k dps (goes up when I my rage hits max though). But I also have a 33% block chance, and about 1500 life steal per hit, which really adds up when you are smacking away at +75% attack speed from Frenzy.

Fair enough, I will add a shield which will give me a ton of crit chance which is what my initial build was all about putting me over 40 crit.

I am dropping weapons master in that picture with the other two passives the crit chance/dmg one and the vit into armor passive.

My DPS drops to around 25K w/ a shield I believe but am not sure.

Considering base stats, yes... +15% damage is better than +10% critical strike chance. However, this can change depending on your base crit chance and your damage on crit. The lower your base crit chance is, the less bonus crit damage you need to make +10% crit better.

I crafted an excel spreadsheet, and with 20% base crit, it took about 220% bonus crit damage (100% is the base) to best +15% damage. However, with 40% base crit, it took about 380% bonus crit damage to best +15% damage.

Before the servers went down, I was trying Act II with my DH. Holy. Shit. She's usually sole survivor in Act I runs (low standard) and can take a few hits in Act II, but damn did I die a lot. Don't see me bothering with trying to do MF/GF runs there considering the stupidly low death rate in Act I compared to Act II.

On a better note, my barb is doing pretty well tanking in Act II and even made it to the start of Act III. Unfortunately, his damage is shit (~12k dps base) and the rest of my team was too fragile to do any damage while I tanked, and I can only last so long. All passives set to damage reduction (20 % non-physical, 25% armor, and +armor based on vitality), resists all over 900 post buff, armor about 8k post buff. Just need a better weapon (~850 dps with crap stats) to actually kill things.

Certainly no secondary stats are necessary when one spends $1000 beefing up the primary stats in the RMAH
