Wife's first words "Oh good they didn't screw it up"
.
Diablo is not about loot. If you want to make loot runs all day long, that is fine with me, I liked playing the game.
Your comment shows a lack of respect towards others, two can play that game.
HardcoreRobot, your opinion is retarded, D3 would be great with an open world. And none of your stupid excuses is going to change that.
Its been over a decade since DII was released. Like with TF2, I am willing to bet a lot of people that buy D3 never played the original. Play TF2, ask about Team Fortress Classic, and most people have never heard of TFC, much less played it. I imagine the same thing will happen with D3.
That same question was asked to Valve with TF2. Valve changed a whole lot of stuff between TFC and TF2.
Now look at TF2, its a massive success.
There was a lot of stuff changed from D1 to D2, and people loved D2.
D1 - dungeon crawler
D2 - few dungeons
I was really disappointed that D2 was moved from a dungeon to open fields, desert and jungle setting.
I loved getting loot in the Diablo games. I love getting loot in all RPGs.
I play Madden games primarily to watch the cheerleaders on the sidelines in the cutscenes; I don't care if the vast majority of players preferred to play football. I am appalled that since the release of the last iteration of Madden, the developers are stuck in the last decade and for some reason refuse to make the game more like Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball.
Maybe I am not making my point clear:
I would like diablo to be more "open", more areas to explore, larger maps, more side quest, more dungeons off the beaten path to explore,,, and so on.
I was really disappointed that D2 was moved from a dungeon to open fields, desert and jungle setting.
So...what you're saying is...you want D3 to be something you hated that D2 became...?
Mind is officially troll-blown.

people need to stop judging this game based on the beta.

I found a filter that makes the graphics look a bit better.
without filter
with filter
without filter
with filter
There are more examples on the page.
I don't care about the darkening, but the sharpening is what's important. For some reason, D3 looks so blurry. Everything blends into each other, and its hard to tell what ends where and what is even clickable. I hope they change that by launch. If not, third party filters will help.
Sorry Texashiker, but you are way off base here. Loot is a major part of the game. The devs recognize it, and the fans recognize it.
So you just said that Blizzard should change diablo more, but then you say that you were disappointed in D2 because it changed from D1?
I don't think so. It has been shown time and time again beta tests usually represent the majority of the release content. A lot of the times, bugs and complaints in beta make it all the way to launch. At any rate, you usually don't see a completely different game between beta and launch.
They are planning an overhaul of D3, but I doubt it will change too remarkably in a way that the beta will be unrecognizable from the final game.
So you think this beta represents the entire game? Lol
There will not be a voice chat built into Diablo 3 (really? WTF?)
Some recent info from Blizzard:
We should see the new skill system in an upcoming beta patch
We will see some class balance in that patch
There will not be a voice chat built into Diablo 3 (really? WTF?)
There will most likley not be any pre-order bonus from blizzard
The graphics in the beta are AS IS for retail (AKA no "ultra mode")
Skill system, graphics, and health orbs are the things I disliked the most.
I feel like the skill system I played with was designed with consoles in mind...
