What the hell would be worth $250? Just curious. I wouldn't pay $250 for the best item in the game but that's just me. Different strokes. Is anyone actually buying things for $250 though?

People did first few days. It is extremely rare now for anyone to pay that now.

At the moment I can't say, but prior to the RMAH it wasn't uncommon to see people offering hundreds of dollars (well above the RMAH limit) for top tier weapons especially. And in a sense, any items selling on the normal AH for, say, 100M gold or more begin to approach (or even breach) that $250 threshold as well.

I bought 10 million a while back for $18-19 somewhere in between, so that I could potentially get through inferno. Didn't work.

I've already sold about $25 worth of stuff in the RMAH and thinking about selling all my high end gear which I think should get me another $30-40 and then just quitting for a while. Right now I'm just playing through as a HardCore Barb and sometimes my Wiz or Demon Hunter.

Every class can frequently crit for more than 150k. Even HP rich builds don't come close to that. You would imagine that player vs player damage would be nerfed, but I just forsee battles lasting 5-10 seconds.

Anyone care to weigh in on how pvp worked in the Beta?

D2 had a pretty massive damage reduction between players, something like all characters dealt about 1/6th of their normal damage to other players. I'd guess they do something similar to that.

Not at all rare, sold a 250 dollar item a few days ago. You have to have REALLY high base stats, near top resist, vitality, and dps stats like crit chance, attack speed etc. Sold pants with 150vit 150dex 70AR Magic find, and 2 sockets for 239.99

As a casual player Blizzard has made this game un-balanceable….. Yep it is proven people will pay a crazy amount to be the best in a make believe world! Where you could have been someone with something no one else had because it’s so rare they would rather sell it for hundreds of dollars….
Cant by any means blame them because money makes the world go round but then you can just level to 60 and just buy your way to the top…. Killing anyone trying to do it on their own or with help of friends/kin.
Personally if it comes to paying $10 per item for a $50 dollar game I’m out (only on Nightmare)!

I don't really see the difference between Blizzard running its own auctioning site versus some companies outside the game doing it. People were willing to pay real money for virtual goods in Diablo 2. For Diablo 3, they simply built that into the game.

Had some good luck this morning; about three quarters of my yellow drops were lvl 63, with some useful stats on most of them. A bunch of weapons in the 700-900 dps range, some nice mf gear, an at least three decent armor upgrades for my monk. Got my DPS to almost 16k, and now I think I'm ready to try Act II.

People do not like seeing it right in their face. They want to know it exists but act like it does not.

I made about 40 million gold the last two weeks selling drops from Act 2. It is possible, but you have to get lucky.

Using a 900+ damage weapon on a level 46 character is too much fun - Cheat mode! Or level requirement -14 mode.

So what's the best way to play a demon hunter? I've read that a socketed 2h bow/crossbow and a socketed quiver are the way to go? What order do you cast skills to have best effect?
