I can't do it anymore. I figure I'll play for another week then I'll just find something else.

I am really disappointed with the game. I like that Blizzard comes up with complex systems so trying to figure out an optimal but off-beat character is fun, but it's not here. The skills are too generic. The skill coefficients dictate too much of how well skills function and they're poorly standardized. The itemization scale is bad and botting has sent auction house prices out of control.

Well, some bad news for Auction House and Glass Cannon fans. 1.0.4 has literally sucked dry high level rares. In order to make Legendary's more legendary they dropped max abilities on rares.

Just the other day on 1.0.3 I did a search for 300int chest armor and got about 3 page's of gear. Now I get about 2 or 3 items that have more than 200int when doing a search . I can make all kinds of gold crazy fast now but there's nothing worth buying wtf !! Can't believe they found a way to screw things up.

If you're wondering why the stuff you get is selling so fast now its because there's a serious drought of good gear.

I have one copy of Diablo 3 to give away (key only).
Originally I bought 3 copies, gave one to someone, was going to have one for myself, and one for my brother, but in the end D3 wasn't as great as anticipated, so one copy is sat unused and I can't be bothered to sell it on.

So, first person to reply that they want it with a good reason for wanting an extra copy (since most people in this thread will already have the game), gets the copy.
If you don't need a copy/have someone already to give it to, please don't reply. I'd rather give it to someone who has someone they want to give it to/play D3 with.

Unregistered key from Amazon.co.uk. Boxed copy, you only get the key, no box.
I will check back probably tomorrow and pick the earliest reply which has a decent claim.

While I'm sure there's a drought for gear, they modified the search to not include gems. So 200 int on chest should show only gear with 200 int w/o sockets. I can't imagine too many hits. Prior, you could stuff ~140 into into a chest and if it had 160 base it would show in the result.

I used to play Diablo 2 with both of my younger sisters, names are Brittani and Summer. They both had the game and played Diablo 3 with me, but recently my sister Summer's boyfriend dumped her, and took his laptop and the copy of Diablo 3 with him - the Battle.Net account it was under was also his.

I found out last week that both of my sisters are moving to Florida on Monday (I live in Iowa, so it's a big deal). It would be great if there was something we could still do together online to keep us bonded and talking and enjoying each other's time, even if it's not in person. And just to show proof

slotted gems are no longer counted in auction house searches. If you would have done a 160-180int and socket 3 search, you probably would have found plenty that were capable of 300+ int.

You can select it so its just once per week and it will also automatically request it when an IP address changes which pretty much ensures if someone who isnt you is trying to log in they have to enter an auth code.

I knew about the one week thing, but I didn't know about the IP address change. Once I get my ticket replied to (it's been 24 hours now, and no reply) I'm gonna switch it to once a week. I wish that you could set it where it only asked for it upon an IP change.

I've noticed the same thing!! Gear that would've cost a couple mil pre patch is now going for 15-20M. I can't afford that shit.....Searching for items that upgrade what I'm already wearing (and it is NOT great stuff by any means), and I get 2 or 3 items, for like 175-200M. Seriously.

I got a NON legendary crossbow for my Glass Cannon that does 783 and like 360 added life on hit. My son (Who I was playing with at the time) said it blows away his 2 legendaries. So I am a HAPPY man.

I love Nephalem Valor buff for increased chance for yellows. Just afriad to change my skills now and have them reset LOL

I know the "Diablo 3 is crap" threads are getting old, and i am very well aware of my own hypocrisy complaining about this game - while at the same time PLAYING.
(Ask a psychologist WHY i am playing, because, in all honesty, i can't answer you that!)

Basically, i am playing this game since release, many, many hours...but i am more than ready to "quit" realizing what this game really is and what "sort" of players it is intended for:

* 4 days after that lackluster 1.04 patch (which DID improve some things, make no mistake) - i see players boasting their RMAH bought gear on the blizzard forum. See wizards with 160k DPS and complete sets of new legendaries, eg. Skorn, Chantollo etc. - with some people having indeed spent $3000 (that is three thousand) dollars to be able to farm Act 3/4.

Single items, like the new legendaries might easily cost you $150-$250.

I never intend to buy one single item from the RMAH, and ever since release, chances are still more or less ZERO to get one single piece of updates from actually playing the game. Ever since i am playing this game, there was not ONE single loot drop which is an update.

* You can do some easy math: How high are the chances that you, in a reasonable time (weeks, months?)..would get a useable, full set of legendaries with the "right" stats?

Seeing that the game is essentially running hours and hours to get the worst crap loot, over and over, even with 5NV and plenty of MF, i don't see any chance to get good gear without spending real money on the RMAH.

Then..related, which makes you think what would be the purpose of playing the game in the first place if one were to gear up their characters in the RMAH? Just running around in circles, the same levels, over and over..with your RMAH gear (bought from daddy's CC)? Why?

The game is lacking what i miss from MMOs since it only incorporates negatives (bad economy etc.), botting, bad players etc. wanting to be carried etc, from the MMO aspect of it MINUS any and all of the good aspects.

There is no real player interaction (for example healers which could support another class with their skills like in WoW).....classes are "streamlined" in a sense that in D3 each class has the same mechanics. For example, a DH and WIZ are "basically" the same thing with minor changes (INT exchanged vs. DEX) and different spells - but the underlying mechanics are really often the same.

While it is lacking ALL the good components of MMORPgs, no surprise, it also does not have the positives of a single-player game!

The only challenge in the game is in fact the literal "unobtainability" of good gear and the increased difficulties in Act3/Act4...the concept being that now mob HP/dmg are significantly increased while the player's damage is nerfed - which is the actual "challenge".

Fights (for me as wiz) consist of always the same strat of more or less the same monsters, with minor changes - but mainly kiting and running, hoping not to get hit. There is no variety in any way.

I have heard that GW2 is coming now and it MIGHT be a new, better MMORPg compared to WoW etc. (which still needs to be seen) - but in all honesty, even just by reading the previews of GW2 one thing is clear:

A) Spend one time $60 for a game with a true MMORP experience, good character customization, user socialization and interaction - PVP, "PVE", events

as compared to Diablo 3

B) Playing the same cr@p from a top down perspective, over and over, where people buy their "skills" on the RMAH..and spend endlessly grinding cr@p loot over and over in the very same levels in an extremely shallow game which only purpose is to grind endlessly..similar as to people buying lottery tickets each week with basically zero chance to win the promised "first price"..which (according to math) will of course never occur

D3 will never be "fixed", and there is no NEED for fixin' because the "real" fix is to play another game - and i realize this now after realizing what an abomination this game really is.

It's time for a new game with depth, challenges, rewards - nothing of that when you play D3. Admit it, people! Why are you still playing?

After the 1.04 patch i was able finally to beat diablo in inferno... so im DONE with this game, although the WD changes to summons look tasty to try out, my WD gear is damn bad and i dont care about farming usefull stuff for another char. I already have my DH, that does Act1 inferno pretty easily with 150-200% base MF (lvl 1 paragon XD) so i just do 1 or 2 act1 runs to try my luck at getting money.
Not interested in anything besides that.

If i get 5 bucks per week selling stuff im happy. I might get a steam game on sale with that money haha

My email account associated with battle.net got hijacked around 1 pm EST today.

I've been using an authenticator since day 1 and I changed my password after they were hacked and posted that users should change the password...so I'm pretty skeptical regarding their current explanation regarding their server "issues".

Whatever password WAS on my account was changed immediately after the breach so this seems like a pretty big coincidence. I noticed right away due to emailing my other account, fortunately.

I suspect they've been breached multiple times and are only owning up to it the one time.

I've gotten 2 legendaries today with just dps gear all of sudden. I think Blizz has gone with the WoW formula for Diablo. Shower people in epics. The WoW formula is pretty simple, overpowered gear that lets you conquer the game in about 2 weeks. Patch some new shit and watch said formula play itself out again.

I think week Blizzard got the confirmation that the demand is there. They can manipulate real dollars out of people at their leisure. I expect a retard horse in D3 by years end. I don't really care. This is a good game and will get better. I suppose you can bitch and gripe about things like they won't be getting better...but they will. There will be pvp, there will be special bosses, maybe even raid encounters. Battlegrounds, guilds, basically everything they do in WoW they can bring to Diablo. Everything. Still some motherfucker can't get out of the D2 experience. What they know of Diablo is that every equipment slot should have a unique. My stat/spec allotment is better than the other guy. I'm special, you're not. Maybe Blizzard has something for those special people amongst always looking for differentiation, exclusivity, and prestige.

Servers went down right when I ID'd a Hellion which came out to 1280DPS with attack speed, 117 dex and 57% crit dmg, open socket.

I will be irate if that item goes poof when I log back in.

Stats are rolled when the item is dropped, not when you ID it, so you should be fine... if it rolls back a few minutes you might find it's not identified, but it should come out with the same stats after.

Unless you just picked it up off the ground and immediately IDed before the crash, in that case you might be out of luck.

I'm the exact same. The sad part is that if I worked at McD's, I'd make 10 times more at an hourly rate on average.

Man, you guys should've been searching pre-patch. I was getting rid of old inventory, and sold a solid chest peice for only 1 mil. 150+ base int, 150+ vit, 3 sockets, 200 life regen. Thought it would go for much higher. I put it up for 1mil and no buy out.

I roll with 200+ base mf in act 3 with my wd now. Those pets can tank for real now.
