Anybody have a puzzle ring?

Thinking about getting one. Is it worth it? Has any of the spawned gobs ever dropped a legendary?

Goblins are way overrated to begin with, I've killed at least 500 and never got anything good from any of them, sounds like an exaggeration I know but it's true. For at least 100 of those 500 I had 375% magic find. I actually just got my first legendary from a goblin ever yesterday, but it was a salvage. Plus the puzzle ring doesn't proc too often on spawning a gob:

Very random results on getting the Treasure Goblin to spawn. After 20 goblins I found no real pattern, it took anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes of being hit constantly for one to spawn.

Just better off killing elites I think

1I'm not liking how big Blizz is handling this game. Patch 1.05 doesn't look to be really that great in terms of "fixes" to character classes as well as monster classes. I'm seriously considering selling all my gear on the RMAH and hanging the game up till and expansion comes out.

My barb is definitely the best geared. He is what I use to MF, he can solo everything. That being said, do you think any of my toons have gear worthy to sell on the RMAH? Or should I just stop playing and wait till the expansion (if there is ever one).

I see people mentioning magic finds over 300 but I thought since 1.04 and the paragon system that the cap was 300? At least that's what blizzard's bnet webpage for the intro to the paragon system states.

I'll post a link after, I'm about to head out. I don't see any decent gear on the AH for less than several million. Again, I never have more than about 200k at any one time on account of getting ass raped in A3.

what about shrines? Not sure if they add to the effective or if they are limited by the hardcap from items.

Figure 400% is the max with the 25% from shrine + NV

Your WD has some pretty nice gear, yet you're only showing 28k dps....is that a bug? I would think your gear would give you much more than that.

Ahh, I think I understand. So do the details on the character screen reflect the NV buff?

The WD is weird, my damage is low on paper, but I mow through mobs with my bears and with my pets tanking, I barely take a hit from Elites. It's a good build.

I'm the same way on my monk. I plow through stuff pretty easily and my paper damage is only at 30-40k most of the time. I can go as high as 52k if I set different skills (I play several different builds with several different items to accomodate them: fire damage build, lightning damage build, straight damage with combination strike and lose some utility abilities, etc.). Most of the time I'm cycloning, and that seems to do more damage than it says it does, lol.

I really want to work on a holy build, but I'll need at least another piece of Inna's before I start bothering with the belt for the additional holy damage.

A buddy that I run with frequently tried that in one game once. We normally see 2-4 goblins in an A3 run...that time we saw 8. It definitely works for making them spawn.

Their loot tables appear to be just the same as any elite or champion sets, and I've seen legendaries from elites before, just not particularly from a goblin. My luck with legendaries is...not so much.

Puzzle ring spawns a level 61 goblin so from a legendary stand point, there isn't a lot of potential there. The only ones I can really think of that would drop off him would be skull grasp, ouroboros, 300th spear and cinder coat. None are really worth a ton unless you get a really lucky roll.

I've yet to find a legendary\set item from a gob as well. 1 from Azmo.. maybe two from Elites and Champs, and the rest have been random white mobs.

rng is rng lol, i'm paragon 40 now and have yet to get anything useful except shoulders which i was able to use

I'm on a cold streak, haven't gotten a legendary drop in over 12 full A3 clears over 3 days. 1.05 still not in sight. Have id'd thousands of rare drops since paragon 1 and have not found anything worth over 10m.

The only rare I've found worth over 10M is probably my amulet with IAS, crit %, and crit dmg %. I'm keeping that though. Everything else gets vendored or sold on the AH for 100k or less. I've dumped a few crossbows for around 500k recently, but these were bows I used for weeks because they were so good..

That's what I hate about MF: at the end of the day, it's all down to luck. I lucked out and made 150 M gold in a week thanks to two huge unique and set drops. None of it's guaranteed though, so I prefer to gold farm at 450k/hour plus whatever drops I can AH.

I've sort of got a survivability build with my DH. I think base dps is about ~50k, with ~320% crit dmg, makes me crit for 160k or so, and I run with sharpshooter. I do have a lot of allres gear, so end up at about 750-800 all res. When I am with a barb who uses war cry, I'm in the 1100-1200 all res range, add shadow power - gloom and preparation, and I can tank most things in the game.

I splurged and got a Manticore with +82% crit dmg for only around 3 million gold (stalk the AH for bids close to expiring and you can get pretty good ones for 2 million or less). With +388% crit dmg, I can Cluster Arrow/Bomb things for 300k-400k damage usually. Reflect damage is annoying as hell though. Even if I switch to my crappy crossbow with 900 LoH, amulet with 450 LoH, and ring with 250 LoH, I still lose a lot of health. So, I gave that up and just spam smokescreen now.
