Does anyone find Act 1 more difficult than Act 3 now with MP levels?

Even at MP1 I tend to die more and things take longer to die it seems. Maybe I'm so used to pre-MP days when Act 3 was so damn hard and Act 1 was a breeze.

That's probably why. Before, Act 1 was non-level 63 mobs. Now with any MP level, Act 1 inferno mobs are at 63, same as Act III inferno.

I had about 15 minutes before I had to leave for work today so I decided to try an act 3 KW run really quick.

When I killed the rare for my fourth stack, it dropped an IK chest for me. My second one in a week and it had better stats. It is on the AH for 84 million. I am hoping it sells.

Finally...

I found my first ever useful Legendary since launch day for my Barbarian. And I do mean specifically for my Barbarian. I did find other good enough Legendary and Set items before, maybe around a dozen or so (useful ones), but never once did I find one that I would actually use myself for my Barb. It's a Skysplitter 1-handed Axe, 1K dps and 505 Life Regen, there's also 14% chance to Smite the enemy I strike but... while it does work and I do see it happen it really doesn't do much at all. Maybe in Nightmare or Hell it would be more apparent but in Inferno it's basically negligible and just some extra visual effect... but it's ok, the actual item regardless of the Smite is good anyway.

I especially like the 10% IAS which brings its attack speed at 1.43, which is about the same as base 1-handed Sword speed (1.40), since regularly 1-handed Axes go for 1.30 speed, which makes that Axe pretty good. And, of course, the 505 Life Regen (not sure how far it goes, maybe 550 or 600?) helps a lot when combined with other Life Regen items, which compensates a bit for my own lack of Life Leech. Anyway, it was about darn time I found something I could use. I also recently realized that I absolutely want IK Boots and IK Gloves, they'd be a must for my build (and 2 pieces of IK set would add +60 to All Res).

I haven't played since the hotfix, but when I logged in quickly to do move some items around in the ah I heard people complaining about the change to the NV buff.

They were saying that now you have to do events to get the buff? You can't just kill elites anymore?

You still can, in addition to doing some events which grant a stack of NV, which is the new (additional) way to increase NV stacks in this patch. But, don't worry you can still kill elite packs for that.

Has anyone found i63 rings\ammy's? I haven't found any yet. I've had good i60 rings and ammy drops though. One ring was 5 cc, 35 cd, dex, vit, 150 loh, 300 life regen. My ammy has 9 CC, int, vit, str, damage.

I'm pretty sure the Hellfire ring is the only i63 piece of jewelry. However, since affixes now roll based on the monster's level, jewelry can now have i63 affixes (such as 9cc on your ammy). Since jewelry doesn't have any inherent attributes (armor/dps), it shouldn't matter one bit whether it is 60, 61, or 62 (other than the image I suppose).

Lacks apoc, but with CM being phased out not sure how many people care about that. Also think damage is on the low side, i think i saw stuff with at least 250 damage. The MF is nice though, but it'd be hard to beat a cheap triumvirate. The triumvirate with same damage range goes for about 50-100k.

Been really enjoying finding legendaries in almsot every other game. Even though some are crap, others have been really nice. Notably Inna's Vast Expance, IK helm, Nat's helm. I've almost forgotten how it felt to not find anything for weeks.

Well, decided to give it one more shot in the only sane manner remaining - give up on the wizard and reroll a barb.

Still early in normal, but with a gemmed weapon I'm running MP10 - keeps things at least somewhat interesting in the otherwise lol faceroll normal difficulty.

Gotta say though....why on earth do Wizard's passives suck so much in comparison? One of the barb's first 2 passives is a +5 crit/+50 crit damage, no downsides. Another one is a flat +15% to all damage if you're using a sword? By comparison, most wizard specials are bad, and the one standout - critical mass - is being carpet-nuke-nerfed into oblivion.

For quite a while almost every barb had to run with ~2/3 superstition/tough as nails/nerves of steel so they've probably been under a bit less scrutiny.

Makes me feel so awesome inside.

Do I need to do this stupid thing at mp10? This is going to be boring but hey at least I will get a key.

Yah, for a while you needed to be a tank and use a storm shield + all of the tank passives and skills. Storm shields were one of the most valuable items at one point. These days, they're pretty much brimstone.. lol. Every one is on the DPS chase these days.

After a 2 month hiatus, I logged in to see how patches have changed it. My 60 wiz was not really fun to play. I level a barb up to 20 and it was WAAAY faster. My 60 Wiz took about 80 hours I think. The barb (albeit a little twinked out) is just mowing through mobs. I took down Magda at ~5hours. The barb is way overpowered compared to every other class I think or rather every other class is way underpowered, because it's actually kinda fun playing the barb. I still disagree with the core DPS mechanics, skills, and loot, but it's getting closer Gold Master vs the Alpha and Beta stages it's been in for the past 5 months.

I will say after playing hundred of hours on my wizard my barb is a lot more fun. After playing my wizard and putting a couple of hours in on my friends lvl 60 monk...I just don't feel that other classes have the synergy of skills that the barb does. The demon hunter isn't too bad.

The worst part is I don't feel blizzard has a good idea on how the wizard or the monk should play. I feel like they're constantly doing side line changes and with the last patch, making things worse. The ONLY reason the wizard was fun to play in 1.03 and 1.04 is because of errors they made to energy twister through wicked wind then storm chaser.

The thing I find almost laughable is to me the game feels like it gets closer and closer to diablo 2 with every patch. They could have just copied d2 into a new engine with a new story and people would probably have been happier. They could have shipped out the game much sooner as well.

It took you 80 hours to level up a wizard to 60? Surely you're kidding.

It took me 80 hours to get to Paragon level 10 or so. You sure you got that right? 80 hours for just level 60?

Yeah, I went pretty slow, explored every nook and cranny. It was slow going because I didn't realize the weapon DPS was so critical and had a less than 100DPS weapon until I was like level 50. I figured it scaled with level instead of weapon, wizards use magic not physical weapons, right? I also didn't know about expert skill mode until then either. Once I realized those two things, it was MUCH easier. Needless to say with 100DPS and crap skills (one from each category), I died a lot on my way to 60 (especially in Act 2-4 where I was raped with such low DPS and armor).

I recall being frustrated seeing other people on here post using two skills in the same group and I was like, "WTF How do you do that???? Thinking maybe it was a level 60 perk or something. This would be way easier if I could choose them like that..." Then I started reading the forums and reading blogs and realizing how much fail my playing was.

Well, give me a Stormshield with Crit Hit Chance and 150+ Strength, 20% Block and around 1050 to 1.1K Armor and I'm in. The shield I'm using now (Rare) needs to be replaced, but all the shields I look for at the AH (amongst the Rare ones) that could upgrade it happen to be about as expensive as some of the best Stormshield rolls around (which are the ones with Crit Hit Chance and good Block %).

But, I agree though, there's many bad roll Stormshields around that wouldn't be better than a blue Aegis that you'd just automatically ignore if you'd see it drop, which is depressing. I mean we know... a Legendary item is Legendary when the stats on it happen to be the rolls you're looking for, and not because the item is color-coded and is labeled as a Legendary.

At least now with this patch I can get back with DPS passives rather than sticking with Nerves of Steel and Though As Nails as I used to back when Act II's difficulty was comparable to Inferno MP4 or MP5... or rather it was worst in the sense that it wasn't nearly as balanced as any MP settings. That was back when mobs from Act II Inferno dealt absolutely insane and unpredictable damage bursts that could one or two shot most of D3's players base regardless of the class and builds.

I'm so glad that crap is gone by now I don't have many words for it, I'm just happy. I have to say that I am genuinely starting to enjoy this game again.

With the surplus of legendaries, prices aren't dropping much any more. I think peeps are stuck with their old pricing guidelines and it's getting annoying. How can there possibly be thousands of each legendary, with decent random stats (not super duper or anything), yet prices aren't moving down much? I find myself constantly have to refresh the list just looking for that one legendary priced lower than 95% of all others and hope that it has a buy-out price, grab it immediately after it's posted.

Start selling your stuff lower dag nabbit! It's not moving!

I can't get the damn organ from the middle uber portal (ghom), 0 for 7. I wanna make that stupid hellfire ring. Everyone else has made like 10 versions already. RRRRRGHHHH. Down to last infernal machine. Leave battletag if you have a machine and feel like running some ubers.
