I've been trying to get a couple of my friends to run at the same time as myself, to maximize using those machines. My schedule is so weird that it's difficult to do so. >.>

I just may have to take you up on that offer.

I have 5 machines, looking to make some more, but I will run with you. I soloed that portal pretty much with three people at mp6 yesterday. The other two died fast.

With the surplus of legendaries, prices aren't dropping much any more. I think peeps are stuck with their old pricing guidelines and it's getting annoying. How can there possibly be thousands of each legendary, with decent random stats (not super duper or anything), yet prices aren't moving down much? I find myself constantly have to refresh the list just looking for that one legendary priced lower than 95% of all others and hope that it has a buy-out price, grab it immediately after it's posted.

Start selling your stuff lower dag nabbit! It's not moving!

If the demand is still outstripping the supply the prices will remain the same. If stuff is not selling people will start pricing it lower to be competitive.

Just wait another week or 2.

I think the biggest issue is is that~ people are looking at the best items.
Those aren't going to drop in price. The stuff that'll drop in price would be the mid-tier items.

Lets say 1400+ dps skorn with 300+ str life steal is not going to drop in price. It'll probably increase due to gold inflation.

However
1250-1300 dps skorn with 250-300ish str with life steal would be considerably cheaper.

Started leveling up my barb more (only at level 21 right now) but wow, it's such a refreshing/fun style of play compared to my 60(21) Wizard. Once I got whirlwind, I was like...HELL FSCKING YES. While i only have 30M gold, I can still buy nice gear for his level to help me plow through guys. Can't wait to get this guy to 60 and start doing some real farming.

Yep I switched over too currently at paragon 20 i think. Still trying to gear him up.

paragon 10 on my barb yesterday. Just got him to 4.4k armor with ~510 resist, but I find myself mashing through mp3 with no issues whatsoever. Actually took on 3 elite packs all at the same time without breaking a sweat (arm guys + battering ram + blood clan melee guys in the fields).

Really sad I spent all that time on wizard when I should've been playing barb instead of being frustrated and trying to figure out some niche build. If I didn't think blizzard was going to nerf barbs I'd be trying to liquidate my wizard's gear to buy IK pieces.

Any advice on getting a main hand with life steal and switching my echoing to offhand? Currently I only have 35mil and am struggling in MP4+. I think life steal will help me a good deal plus extra dps. I've also been thinking about something like The Witching Hour to increase DPS but I'm too poor right now. Thanks.

You could probably replace your echoing fury with another one.

Dex Crit life leech *NO SOCKET* in the 800-900 dps range. anything higher would cost you more than 35mil

mine cost me 40mil BIN and I did it as fast as I could.

If like the echoing you should look into switching your off hand with something with life leech with the amount of dmg you're pushing 2.7+ ll should work fine i think.
That's what I started off with. (Sun Keeper) I only use for mf. My regular off hand is a WKL without life leech.

you're a monk why would you want a slow main hand ?

slow main hand with fast off hand is for barbs

I like my wizard. With his tank gear on he can tank MP3 while a DH does most of the damage. I do not use a CM build either as I never had enough chance to crit. I also only had a dps of like 18K. I have spent maybe 1mil on that gear. A stormshield with reduced cost to meteor being most of that. With 1000+ LOH and 2-3% LS my health globe was always moving up down like a heart monitor. The real funny thing was how I could run into a huge back of mobs even elites and live, but once we got them down to 1-2 left I had to be really careful since there wasn't much left to still life from. I also noticed 1.05 made him much better at tanking mainly because frost nova lasts longer and health potions take into account +health from health globes now.

I just switched to a ray of frost dps build after spending about 600K on frostburn gauntlets and triumvirate. Switched because I don't know if anyone can tank at MP10. I did OK on MP3 solo, will try with my DH friend later. My dps is 29K now, but I have alot of plus %elmental damage that doesn't show up in that. I think I have 29% elemental + another 29% added to cold spells. Then I use about every skill the wizard has to add passive damage (thunderstorm, etc.) or +% damage (cold blood, slowtime w/ 20% rune, etc). I really wish the dps on your character was more meaningful. At best it is a guess and at worst leads you completely down the wrong path.

True neither build may fly through mobs like a barb with several million in gear, but I like him.

I got zuni set with str on boots and chest piece, and the ring has 300 loh+crit damage. I can share my set with my wiz, barb, and wd. Loving it right now. Zuni set gives me tons of res. bonus.

Pretty sure the + elemental percentage shows up in the paperdoll. When I put on a black weapon my dps shot up sky high.

Also here's the problem: wizard farms slow and you have to spend about 5x as much money to farm the equivalent of a barb would. It took me about 45 minutes to do my routine act 3 run in wizard, and I thought that was pretty fast... until I did the same thing with my barb in less than 20. Then I expanded my run and ended up killing about 2x as many elites and mobs in the same amount of time my wiz would. I'm leveling tons faster!!

Wizard's expensive too. Looking at upgrades for wizard always ran in the 100m mark, or 50m for sidegrades. That is depressing! And your equipment isn't really cross-spec compatible. Try doing CM with Life steal and under 100k and you'll know what I'm talking about.

And tried ray of frost build. It's pretty crappy... shielding mobs absolutely eat you and the single target dps isn't really high enough to keep stuff away. black ice is nice though, and does a lot of dps if mobs are dumb enough to walk into it.

My IK chest sold today for 70 million and I found a bad stat IK Helm, sold it for 8.

I was going to buy a Unity, but it went from 94 million gold to 177 million in the last minute and I was not going to pay that for a ring.

Well I'm back to being done with the game. Legendaries/sets drop too infrequently, rares are always junk, and grinding for gold to purchase intermediate upgrades because a lot of stuff has become cheaper isn't enticing, 'cause I'm not finding anything. I wonder if there are flagged accounts that will always have better drops. Whatevs, I'm done for now, I guess till another patch is interesting enough to check out.

Legendaries/sets drop too infrequently

They doubled the drop rates of legendaries with the last patch, making them drop anymore would be pretty ridiculous. If you don't have near max MF you're not trying hard enough - Get 500% MF on MP5. I find all my legendaries in streaks pretty much still, i'll go a day or two without finding any then find 3 in an hour or something crazy.

Still raging at ubers. Have 3 spines and 3 eyes but still haven't got one organ from Ghom in 8 tries on MP5. That's like flipping a coin and having it land tails 8 times in a row. Urgggggh. Ah well, I'll probably add you guys and maybe we can run some ubers, though I usually play late late night/early morning so might not work out.

I got a "Sledge fist" to use on the ubers as per recommendation from a friend. It's a level 57 legendary fist for a monk with 30-49% stun rate. Got mine for 3m just to see how efficient it would be. The really good ones are going for 30m+ on the AH, despite them only doing about 158 damage =p, that stun rate is pretty crazy, keeps them ubers stunned most of the time. I tried it for a round of ubers and it went ok, the party I was in wasn't that good for one thing, but the stun rate is as advertised. It's a huge drop in DPS as one would suspect, but if I can keep the ubers stunned while the rest of the party wails on them, should be worth the trouble.

Well, my barb is level 42 now.

Man, for a good laugh open the auction house, search for weapons, max level 41, and then 42. DPS increases 1000% between those two levels.
