Holy shit. I want to cut myself right now. Playing semi-drunk for the hundredth time, and I accidentally sold my chest armor with 3 radiant (second best) emeralds in it. I must have been in the middle of selling stuff because it didn't show up in the buyback list. There goes about 6-7 million gold.... Lucky that the price for emeralds dropped, otherwise it'd be 20 million. F*CK!!!!

Are the drop rates still crap, and the AH still overpriced?

I found 3 or 4 uniques last night over 4-ish hours on MP1 and 2. Definitely better... but all those drops were shit rolls. Found a Dead Eye Quiver (or something) and it was +12% Attack Speed for level 61+ item. Rest of the stats were great, which is a damn shame.

The major pissers are the two-handed weapons that drop without sockets. Those, no matter the damage, usually get vendored or sold for 50k gold or less.

Drop rates are good, but that means that there are tons of legendaries on the AH.

I find l62-63 legendaries with okay rolls (not great, but okay), and they end up going for <1M gold.

The awesome stuff will always be 100M+ gold no matter what.

I was reading on d3 forums that monster dmg somehow has been buffed over the past day or two. Anyone notice it? I haven't played any today and the last time I played was just leveling my barb on normal diff.

I know a hotfix after 1.05 came a fwe days ago that lowered monster dmg, ppl were happy.

then I guess another patch came and now monster dmg has been buffed.

Naw, they didn't buff damage just chicken little posts. After they adjusted the mp damage in 1.05a I was able to go up 1 mp level no problem.

Well I can do MP4 easily, so I don't know if it has been buffed. Someone was trying to claim Inferno 1.0.4 was at the damage levels of MP3 which seems wrong. I wasn't geared enough to do efficient farming in Act 3 before the patch, and still couldn't very well in MP1 until I upgraded quite a bit.

Not bad, but why did you choose vitality as your base stat?

I'm not too familiar with the crafting of this new ring, but can't you choose which main stat you want (int, str, dex?) Why wouldn't you have chosen the stat that buffs your class' damage?

I purposely picked vit so it becomes class swappable. Once I get to paragon 100, this ring won't be comparable to rares with good rolls and I'll prob find a better upgrade then. So if I picked str, the dps increase would have been great and slightly better but it would be useless for my monk. With Vit, I can use it on any of my classes for lvling up paragons should I choose to.

With MP as high as 10, it's not like I'll ever have too much survivability anyway. Plus I can make up for the str elsewhere where I have more control over. This ring on the other hand is account bound and it would suck if I rolled a highly gg ring that I can only use on one character and rely on the same gg roll for another if I wanted to play another class.

Imagine getting 9 ias, 80 all res, 6% crit and 50% crit dmg roll on your 4 randoms on the hellfire... I'd rather have that with vit if I never get that lucky cuz it will be all that more sweeter to be able to use it on any of my alts.

It's not been buffed. People are just stupid.

Inferno 1.0.4 was at around mp3-4 levels I think. I remember fallen maniacs doing roughly the same damage to me at mp4 as they would in 1.0.4.

Granted they're not the best gauge, but they sure as fuck are the most memorable.

So, my barb hit 60 yesterday, and with 500k worth of equipment, she's already more effective then my wizard and easier to play.

I never got a hang of my wizard, but gave up pretty fast. I see some wizards who can tank and kill everything in sight, so it's a matter of learning I guess.

For tanking, my barb is good. His damage sucks though, so I only play my DH now. Reasonable survivability with a shit ton of damage.

And damn on the keys. I must have done 20 runs in Act 2 at MP 1 and 2 and didn't get anything. Finally gave up and went with MP 4 and MP 5, which gave me a few keys. The bad part is things die so much slower that gold pick-up slows down, added deaths don't help, and fewer drops is obvious problem.

Yup, that's how I felt. Why should I play a wizard, which needs 100m worth of equipment to be the equivalent of a 10m equipment barb? After sinking in 10m of equipment for my barb he's pretty much the wizard I wanted but never could had.

ww Barb is like the infinite archon build for wizard minus the cooldown. In situations where my barb would die, my wizard would die 3-4 times as fast and more easily. I see 2 packs of elites with jailer and frozen? No problem! Waltz in with zerker rage, and pick up loot a minute later. I can farm MP4 on my barb... wizard can do mp1. I've all but retired my wizard at paragon 25.

Legendary drop rates are pretty insane. I got 6 pieces and one immortal king's boulder breaker. Any good builds with a 2 hander out there for barb? I heard about some HOTA build but that seems to need a shield which I don't have.

My barb is only 28 right now, but I'm already feeling similar to what you described. It feels so much easier/more fun to play a barb, WW everything to death.

Question: When will I be able to WW mobs and gain enough fury to keep it going for awhile? Right now, I have to use bash a few times to get my fury up and then I can WW. But it will eventually go away. Will I need gear similar to APoC for wizards? Still learning how to play barb.

Short answer on gear: You just need crit and drain, no special prefix (APoC) needed. The actual damage dealer is not ww but the cyclones from sprint.

When you get into the fray for battle rage, you can use the 3 following:

WW - Hurricane rune
Sprint - run like the wind
Battle rage -> into the fray

At lvl 50~ ish I could keep WW up 90% of the time in big enough packs. You really won't be able to infinite WW until you get about 50% crit buffed and get some decent gear.

Picked up a pair of firewalkers of the AH for like 30k. Seemed to make sense - they serve the same function as run like the wind. Working out pretty well.
