Depends on the monk. I double stack my res and use One With everything passive skill. My base res is 1159, use the healing mantra with rune that gives +20% res to buff it to 1391 res all. If I get a barb with warcry, it goes up over 1600 res all...
Armor is at 4406.
I survive pretty well at mp3/mp4. Die sometimes, usually when a pack has like all fire (fire chains/desecrate/molten), or that combined with arcane. Those arcane's fuggin hurt.

I don't find many decent items, so upgrading has been a slow process. She can stand there and take a beating, but killing stuff takes a while sometimes. She's a good team player
why do you have so much resistance? if you use Fist of Thunder - thunderclap it makes your life-on-hit a whole lot more effective.
you can completely re-outfit your monk for less than 4 million gold.
Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out. I went with so much resistance so I can be the buffer between the hordes and my compadres.
My DH is barely used. It was fun...but due to lack of funds, I had to stick with a class and try to build up funds. I don't get enough items that sell or enough gold to maintain multiple classes.
Also, when I am playing, it's usually with some people I always play with. There's already a couple DH's, Wiz's, WD's, etc...
if you're going for group play, definitely go for Fist of Thunder - Thunderclap. the short teleport and knockback works wonders, plus it double dips into your life-on-hit AND procs with AoE fist hits.
deadly reach is useless since you don't do enough dps anyway. use cyclone strike instead with the 34 yard rune. that way the enemies will be clumped together and your main attack will proc tons of life-on-hit.
maybe switch serenity for the group 1-second invulnerability rune? it's a great stun-breaker and works wonders against arcane/desecrate/frozen.
i never liked exploding palm, its pretty gimmicky and doesn't amount to much. maybe breath of heaven w/ the spirit rune, so you can keep spamming cyclone strike?
I used to poo poo exploding palm until I started using it. I still prefer Crippling wave as my regular alt attack, but I'll switch in exploding palm for Uber runs. Thanks for the info. I'll fiddle with my skills and see what's up. I have about 4.5 mil right now, my future plan do include less res, and bulking on on ias,cd,cc, and dex. I've been swapping out MF pieces and going paragons too. Goal is to kill faster, gain XP faster.
My DH had no trouble killing him or other minions in Act 4, the difficult part was having to find 5 elites to get the 5 stack NV. Act 4 is very monster scarce and dungeons suck making it even harder to find elites.
My DH will probably hit 118dps in another NV level or two.
Quickest ways to boost my dps would be to bump up my 118 dex boots to 200+, but I need the resists and run on mine - they get very expensive with all. Bracers could use a boost too, but then I need the gold pick-up radius on that. I need the movement speed bump on my armor. So, I essentially need to upgrade at least 2 pieces at once to make sure I keep all important stats.

Sweet. Found IK gloves with a good STR role and some VIT. Unfortunately, market is saturated, so it won't fetch that high a price.
I'm looking for IK gloves, actually. I'd need 170+ Strength, and either some Vitality or Dexterity on them. How much of both Str and Vit do they have? I might be interested. I'd like to mention though, that I play regularly lately and I check for items often. It's possible that I might find a pair I like before you reply to this, but we never know.
For once, I threw it on the AH without a buyout price. Starting was 750k.
Strength was 230-ish, and vit was only 35-ish. Think about 9% crit chance.
My legendary to set items are about 15:1.
I found a trifecta rare gloves yesterday and put it up for auction on RMAH at $28/60. I priced the starting bid to be competitive against similar gloves on there. I'm thinking I could probably get more for it though, what do you guys think (private sale even)? (Sorry, I don't have it hosted anywhere so couldn't link a pic.)

That's pretty much what I'm looking for in terms of stats, but I forgot to mention that I also need 70 or maybe 65 (at the least) to All Res as well, very much necessary for my build. I'm still checking around but of course such IK gloves as a pair I'd need would cost me millions, and I am willing to pay... they're just rarely seen at the AH.
And those that do make it there end up being 60+ million... which is beyond my own limit, and I'm not willing to grind for two months just to buy one item, as rare as it may be (unless in the meantime I do find many items each worth many millions that would end up paying me a pair of IK gloves but I'm not hoping too much for that).
What do you guys think this shield is worth/could sell for?

There were only a handful of shields with similar or better stats and the prices ranged from like 10M -> 95M. I know the CC % is a bit low, but it's an insane amount of strength. Currently on AH for 15M starting / 25M BO. I have no idea if it's too high or low.
Those look like all the right stats to have on a shield, but not many people seem to use them anymore.
