I bought the game during the sale, currently playing a Barb and only level 14 I think, and I just killed the Skeleton King.
So, am I the only one that finds the game unplayable on anything less than MP10? They give us TEN LEVELS of difficulty, WHY? does the game get that much harder? I only died once and it was becuase I was scewing around, there was no chance of me dying even while fighting the Skeleton King, that was a joke (althought it was tons of fun). Now I know why I was so bored playing the beta, I can't imaging playing this without the monster power feature.
On an unrelated note: Are newly unlocked skills always going to be better than previous? I find my self prefering older skills, I like the AoE bleeding skill instead of seismic assault for example, am I crazy?
It's funny how much of a diffrence the MP feature makes, I am enjoying the game quite a bit compared to the beta and it all due to this feature.
Let's say, the game doesn't really start till you hit Inferno. Even at release, everything was pretty simple till mid-way hell to inferno. Once, you hit inferno, before patch, it was a brick wall though. You either needed lots of gold, or you needed to get lucky. The game was insanely difficult.
You guys remember the enrage timer, and healing from Elites? Borderline unplayable.
Whatever the hell that long range aura was that wore down your health constantly if you took too long to kill elites was the stupidous thing ever made (enrage timer?).
There was also invincible minions -- great, 5 guys get to wail on me with impunity while I try to target the Extra Health, Shielded, Vortex boss in the middle.
I think this was my second Mempho. The firs tone I pawned for a few million. I've found 1 Andy's and bought 2 -- one had good stats, but no socket, and one was a really cheap one with intelligence as the main stat and a socket I got off AH to replace a crappy rare socketed helm I was using. Third was the one I bought off AH for about 4 million so I could have dex and a socket.
What I need now are rings with more damage or all resists. Things are freaking expensive though, which is funny considering that there are hundreds of pretty good Unity and <whatever other popular unique ring is on AH in large quantities>.
I remember my first venture into Act 2 Inferno. Monk, 6k armour, 900 resists. 30k life.Whatever the hell that long range aura was that wore down your health constantly if you took too long to kill elites was the stupidous thing ever made (enrage timer?).

Got killed by the first monster I saw outside town - one of those flying wasps that shoot bees at you.
You know how I killed Izzy? I used mantra of retribution and spammed earth ally at him lol. It only took me ~5 minutes, he dealt so much damage to himself. I didn't even bother playing most of act 2 and act 3 and act 4. I ran through it and skipped it all lol.
I love my litany of the undaunted and wailing host rings.

They each have CC, CD, and ~165 dex (primary stat). One has 78 AR, the other has +dmg.
Together you get +15% MF/GF, and you spawn a little skeleton dude to follow you around.
Can the skeleton tank for you?
What would make them better in a realistic way is if they changed the roll from this:
+40-50 Strength
+40-50 Dexterity
+40-50 Intelligence
+40-50 Vitality
Attack Speed Increased by 8-9%
+241-265 Armor
+2 Random Magic Properties
Empty Socket
To this:
One of 3 Magic Properties (varies)
+150-200 Strength
+150-200 Dexterity
+150-200 Intelligence
+50-100 Vitality
Attack Speed Increased by 8-9%
+241-265 Armor
+2 Random Magic Properties
There, I made a shitty legendary better or how it should have been to begin with.
I'll try to keep this list up to date. If you see your name missing PM me and I'll add it, same if you would like yours removed.
There are Tasker and Theo's that have good stats, they're just rare because they're also in high demand.
And your stat listings are incorrect. One of the stats can be much higher, up to 180 or so? Mine have 128 dex, IAS 9%, CC 5.5% and were 1.2m about 2 months ago.
Strongarms don't have IAS not from what I've seen, which is why they're not nearly as expensive or in demand.
I've been looking for better gloves to fit on my monk, but they simply just don't exist, and it's annoying

I remember not being able to make it up the first set of stairs in stonefort in act 3 for at least a week.
meanwhile, I just sharded my 10th gladiator glove.
/wrists.
i keep getting frostburn gauntlets, probably had enough to fill up a full inventory panel already
Just found this nice little gem. It's got perfect crit, high AR and a decent cooldown bonus as well. Looks to be about a 10-20M helm yeah?
It's odd, since I started playing at MP10 with my DH that I'm leveling, I haven't gotten a single legendary. Strange, as before I was getting one every few hours of game play. Haven't gotten one in my last 15 hours or so that I've been at MP10
I found that exact item yesterday and scrapped it after taking a second look. People don't play Witch Doctors that much and it's not that great to begin with.

What you're experiencing is called Variance and is part of the RNG fun.
