I've already found 23 in 2 days, so not really that hard to find.

Found another marquise gem plan today. This time an emerald, only went for 4 million, so it should be super cheap within a week.

Just browsing the PTR forum I noticed none exist feedback from blizzard in regards to problems unlike the previous PTR they had. It's quite obvious that they don't care very much. =]

i need them to craft up my gems right now unless it's selling way over what they should be, then it would be worth exploiting

I haven't seen actual proof, but I assume it's better to farm higher mp levels now, because of the xp changes. Now there's an incentive at least since you are leveling faster. Regarding equipment drops, I don't think it changed, the magic find bonuses are the same.

Plans, keys and organs also have a higher percentage of dropping at higher MP levels, so there is that incentive too.

yeah that makes sense, its kinda based on what your goals are. my main goal is experience, then 2nd is getting that big drop that will actually get me some money.

I just had to spend $1 of blizzard money to buy 4M of gold. I made like 300 bucks off the game in the first few months so to me its nothing at all. But right now with the new crafting and whatnot, I'm pretty much not able to make money at all.

I've been doing monster level 4 for a couple weeks, but I just switched to 1 and its much much faster, and kinda more enjoyable I guess...much faster runs. It makes the echoing fury fear a nonfactor too, which is nice. I'm gonna try level 2 today and see if I tear through stuff just as quickly and easily.

I think someone did some calculations in the PTR and said MP4 was the most efficient for leveling.

Up to 178k dps now

It only took me about 6-7 tries to get shoulders, an ammy, and bracers that were better than my existing ones, including a vile ward and strongarm bracers.

Plans for all of these things are dirt cheap.

Emeralds are insanely expensive right now. Prices for flawless squares are:

Amethyst: ~700 gold
Emerald: ~11,000 gold
Ruby: ~2200 gold
Topaz: ~500 gold

11k gold for each flawless square emerald! I've actually used up a lot of mine slowly crafting up emeralds and using the perfect squares in ammy creation.

I've found that upgrading flawless gems up just one level usually yields better prices for the "crappier" gems. For example, 3 topazes at 500 gold plus 30k gold to make one upgrade. That's a cost of 31,500 gold and they sell for about 40,000 minus 15% commission to net 2.5k gold (40 x 0.85 = 34 - 31.5 = 2.5). You should have the lower level recipes by now considering how cheap they are and how often they fall.

Sadly, I have done 5 MP8 Ghom runs and have yet to get a single plan... I bought shoulders and the first ones I crafted were almost better than my Vile Wards. They have more STR, a bit less VIT with same AR. Wish they had extra armor though. =(

I'm definitely acquiring experience more quickly with the new MP settings. At MP2 and MP3, I can get about 21-23 million per hour versus 18-ish pre-patch. My damage hasn't changed much, so I'm not killing much quicker.

They boosted the experience gains from each MP, of course you'll be getting more. >_>

The new legendary alert on the minimap goes away if you are far enough away for it to go off the map. This isn't as I thought it was stated in the patch notes. I was under the impression the icon would remain in the general direction until you left the map.

Well, I am happy with 1.07 in general, especially with the changes to the monk skills. I was finally able to hunker down and finish Inferno, and I'm even running around soloing fairly well on MP2 at Paragon level 6 trying to earn some XP to raise it even higher.

I found my first two legendaries last night while finishing Act 4, too, and one
of them was nice enough it should have brought me my first million gold AH sale.

I had to significantly alter my build to have any success in the later acts, but once I gave up on relying on Serenity I found that focusing on trying to actively avoid damage actually increased my DPS as well. I guess "Lern 2 Play!1!" works. Heh. The next step is to get more AR gear so I can dump One With Everything for a different passive so I can move up to higher MP levels.

If you enjoy crafting, it's a good patch. If you're in it for the economy, then you may not like the patch much. Not gonna satisfy everyone, but I think it's decent.

My issue with the game is that it was so broken for so long that the economy is so broken it is not repairable until they reset the ladder. Once they reset I'll try it again, but too many dupers/hackers/farmers ruined the entire economy already/item base already.
