Ya, I'm getting pretty burnt out on it and I don't play that often.

I've decided the AH is what ruined it for me. I miss actually farming for gear and being able to use it. Now all I do is grind for XP, sell/salvage all of my items, and check the AH.

I don't have much time to play, and am down to about 3 or 4 hours a week now, but after I got burnt out on my main, I just started the remaining classes simultaneously.

Now I have all 5 classes up to level 60, which surprisingly didn't take long to do since I leveled them all 5 levels at a time, so they could share the found gear (no AH). Playing like this makes the gear you find more useful, since you have 5 chars to distribute it to.

I have yet to buy anything off of the AH. I've sold a bunch of items, but everything on my chars is self found or crafted.

I'll be playing this game for a long time. :awe:

man i don't see how this game can last much longer, not much sells on the AH unless you have godly items, and even then what does that get you? let's you farm a few seconds faster? .....

I'm at 192k dps and haven't noticed that big a difference in my kill rate since 160k dps... On the otherhand, I'm dying way quicker from reflect damage as my dps increases.

i'm at 182k on my barb and yea reflect damage is owning me hahaha. upgrades are well over 100mil each now, so ill either start grinding a new toon to 60 or go back to worldoftanks

Yeah, I am at the point side grades are like 100-200mil. I am pretty much just grinding for that next big huge find to give me the billions I need to upgrade proper. Reflect damage doesn't really bother me much but I am running 6% life steal.

i only have 3% ls, unless i shell out for a LS skorn which i can't afford.
i would dual wield but skorn ww farming is MUCH faster for me

I can't image skorn WW being faster than EF + a dagger / sword. You might lose sheet dps, but the increased RLTW tick rate would make up for it by quite a lot I'd imagine.

faster speed wise as in time to farm. i can do a run in roughly 2 minutes or so of arreat 2.
i just ww circle them once, then rend and run to the next mob.

that usually gets me .5 a bar. i started at paragon 15 or so and i used to get 2 bars per run, now it's slowing down, i'm 46 now. i need to get my hellfire ring to speed it up again

Ok guys, I loaded this back up lately and was able to get my WD up to 100k dps with the gold I had laying around. Whats the recommended dps for each MP level? Is there a set of WD skills that are considered the go to config?

Heh, low MP farming I don't circle. Just sprint through. Most mobs die when I WW through them and the rest are cleaned up by my tornadoes.

WD is the one class I have no played much. Only tried one out during the beta. As far as what MP, generally you do whatever is most comfortable to go through efficiently. Like, I can do MP10 on my barb, it just takes quite a while to kill elite packs. And MP3 takes almost just as long as MP1 for me because I am running through and not really "fighting". So, MP3 is the most efficient for me to level in.

I don't see how the AH has ruined the game when the biggest deal and most exciting part of the game is being able to sell a l33t item on the AH. If anything, keeping the economy healthy is what's going to keep the game going.

At this point though, most people should be feeling burnt out if all they're doing is farming the same thing over and over again. Especially, alone.

My goal at this point is to just get my WD up to plevel 100. Which is becoming a drag, lol. However, I have friends to run with and we're always doing uber runs. I've made a decent ring in each flavor at this point, but nothing godly still. My int one is the best with 44 cd, 3.5 cc, vit, life, int of course. No triecta yet though, and I have to be pushing over 100+ hf rings at this point.

At this point, my WD is @ 195 dps and I almost have nothing to really upgrade him with. I've looked at potentially better knives, with cd, socket, ls, and mana regen, but the ones with CD don't have as much damage as mine. Actually, the dps isn't even the most important stat on my WD. LS, mana regen, and reduction in zombie charger cost are all more valuable.

I'm looking forward to focusing on my barb or dh next. I was most certainly going to work on the barb next, but bought a cheap calamity for my dh recently and the stun bola + spike trap combo has been really fun.

The bread and butter build for the wd is the grave injustice build. 100 dps is decent for a wd. You should be able to do up to mp4 at least. Make sure your wep has ls.

The skillz used on the build are as follows:

Bears - your main attack.
primary attack is not important - can be rain of toads (for loh proc), widow maker spiders (mana regen), ghost bombs for range attacking with aoe.

other skillz

spirit walk - jaunt
soul harvest - vengence ( does a crap ton of damage and souls give you int to buff your dps)
big bad voo doo - rain dance (use this on a pack of elites to whipe em out by spamming unlimited bears).
last slot - up to you.. I prefer hex (jinx) turns enemies into bacon and they can't touch you when they're bacon. And it works on key wardens.

passives: gruesome feast, grave injustice, and the last one is your choice. I prefer spirit vessel.

Actually, I find gruesome feast doesn't last long at all, so i actually use blood ritual for 15% mana reduction on spells. If you need the damage buff or have lots of pick up radius, gruesome feast is nice though.


The main thing you want in a weapon is life steal and mana regen. Bears proc life steal nicely as they do a ton of damage, and being able to sustain a steady supply of bears will keep the enemies dead and you alive.

Lots of people use int skorns with ls for this build. You want very little attack speed to be able spam bears as much as possible. ias is a huge waste of mana for a WD. However, you can run the build with a c-knife and mojo as well. If you go the 1-h route, find a mojo with mana regen, crit chance, high avg. damage, and reduced cost to zombie bears if possible.

In normal mode, I moslty use grasp, acid rain, Dogs and Gargantuan as well as the soul harvest for the boost.

No problem. If you're going 1-h, get a c-knife with mana regen and ls or spear with ls. Swords, and echo's, etc.. anything that has high attack speed is no good for WD. C-knife is 1.4, so you need mana regen to make up for that high of attack speed.

Do a search for c-knife with socket, ls, mana regen. Sort by highest dps, you can find decent ones for really cheap prices. You'd be surprise.

Don't worry about the mk knives, and echo's... they're not that great.

Also, you must use zuni set. The 20 mana regen bonus is critical. I use the chest, boots, ring and helm. If you can find a good zuni mojo with cc and mana regen, then the helm can be substituted with visage of giyua helm that you can get cc + mana regen from. Zuni helm can't have both. I actually keep 2 zuni helms one with 6 cc and one with mana regen. I have enough mana regen to use the 6cc, but using a mana regen helm is just as good and it's ALOT cheaper.

Man, there's a lot of people running MP10 with 50-70k dps. It takes forever to do anything with them.

I just upgraded a bunch of stuff and now sit at 218k dps. If I turn on steady aim and sharpshooter, I get up to over 400k dps

why are you running mp10 in public games?

i do mp10 with a barb that does 400k dps. its quicker than doing mp5 solo.

Yea I hear you. I just hate public games because it's always a wizard that spams every graphically intensive spell known to man, or a WW barb that does 50k dps and uses a 20% fear EF.

I use a EF on my WW barb. =( I do a little more than 50k dps though. >_> I also never notice the fear unless I am bashing a single target. And unless you are a smash barb I don't know why this would bother you. Monks can teleport, and everything else is ranged.

Monks can teleport if you build it that way but the teleport is not perfect. You only teleport every 3 swings, and unless you shift click you will still run to close the gap, in which case you'll swing in-place without a target until you teleport to the monster. And sometimes I like to use Wave of Light because I like seeing large crits and dropping bells. In this case I don't have Thunderclap, I use Quicken for the spirit generation.

But I typically party with a smash barb and I put away my EF so that things don't run away. I lose like 50k dps, but it doesn't matter when the barb crits for 4+ million lol.

I'm a melee demon hunter. Everything is AoE for me.

I'll drop a guardian sentry for 15% dmg reduction, then drop 3 echoing blast spike traps on me that do tons of area damage. I'll pick the toughest bad guy and case marked for death with the area dmg rune, then let everyone get close and use bola shot (again, area) with the bitter pill rune for discipline generation.

I survive even on MP10 with elite mobs surrounding me because of ~650 AR and constantly spamming shadow power - gloom which I can do because of the bitter pill on my bola and nightstalker. I get great damage reduction, and with all the aoe damage, I make plenty of life back from shadow power. Spike traps can crit for over 700k dmg on a single target, add aoe from the spike trap and then more aoe from marked for death and so long as I keep doing damage, I survive against pretty much anything.

This of course only works when people don't cast stupid fear and make the mobs run away. No damage = no life regen.

Sweet. Found a Manticore with 1300 dps, 98 CD, dex, and vitality. Now at 212k dps and the difference is big. If I could find a ring I liked with dex, vit, and CC (my Hellfire only has dex, vit, avg. damage, no CC), I could get to 215-ish probably.

AH says that Manticore may be worth 50+ million gold.

If only you had rolled socket instead of vit it would have been amazing. Great manticore either way though. A lot of people don't realize that a 1300 1 socket is much more dps than a 900 with 2 sockets.
