had a group going for a bit tonight some peeps from here, on our first run legendarys falling from the sky

I found 2 EFs in about 2 min

Yeah, it was fun. Fairly close to a perfect group too with the skills/buffs we had going. Probably could have netted a bit more exp on facerolling MP8 or 9 but 10 was definatley fun.

I'll be on again tonight after Crossfit. Just hit me up if you want to run again. I got 5 legendaries out of the evening...all pretty much trash though.

yea ill prob get on tonight, only one of those EFs will sell for maybe a cpl mill, the other is crap, Strongarms i found were decent, put them on my WD solid upgrade for him

and yea MP8 would be the way to go, the first game we were on 9 and some of those extra HP yellow mobs took an while to kill

think i gained like 5 paragon lvls out of that

I need to do another UBERS or 3 to get some more rings as well

If you guys are running again tonight, shoot me an invite. I can CM wiz or Monk it up if you need it. I suppose I could barb as well if you really need DPS for MP10, although my wiz can do it just as easy, especially with a monk overawe spamming.


I am actually thinking about dropping my Inna's set on my monk. I have chest and pants, but I am not getting much eHP from them. I am getting a ton from my belt, and think I will swap that out for a Witching Hour and drop the Inna's 2 piece to get better pants + chest.

last night we were running Barb(me) CM Wiz, Arch Wiz and WD not sure who was who. IF we are doing mp8 it prob wont matter who you come on we should not have DPS issues

Monk + CM Wiz + WD = easy mode MP10. And with a barb running around kiting more stuff to the pile, it gets even better. >_>

As much as people like Act 1 for farming, I find Act 2 to be better. Perhaps it is just a change of pace I enjoy though.

been trying to get the patterns for my archon shoulders, running skeleton king over and over, havent gotten anything of interest, got a legendary which i vendored the other day, it was probably a bad idea, the piece was junk but who knows if it would have made better in the xpac

I don't think they are buffer current legendaries with the expansion. They will most likely just drop new and improved versions of the same. Also, the patterns are like 25k each. Not really worth the fuss of farming for them, if you ask me.

For public games, it seems everyone runs act 1. I like doing act 2 runs but it definitely is harder to get a group together.

ive played with some DHs using turrets that seem to do just fine

They do okay, but compared to other classes, they don't have the actual DPS output. All other classes have much higher true dps output with less sheet dps. A 300k DH can't clear mobs nearly as fast as a 300k any other class. Plus, they don't have a lot of good ranged skills anymore (despite being a ranged class). They really do need a revamp.

CM Wiz running Frost Nova w/ Cold Blooded passive
DH running Marked for Death
Barb rounding up stuff to bring to the carnage

Not sure how the math adds up, but thats additional damage percentages of 48% (Overawe), 20% (Cold Blooded), and 25% (can't remember this % exaclty) from Marked for Death all in area of effect.

A similarly geared WD instead of a DH would be better overall damage output though (even with the marked for death additional damage). Fire bats is OP.

I can bring a 200k dps WD with Fire Bats too if someone else brings the CM Wiz. My monk doesn't have the 'oomph' just yet in terms of DPS...it would be like me bringing a knife to a gun fight.

ive played with some DHs using turrets that seem to do just fine

The thing with the DH is you can get decent DPS output, but you have to be stationary and get set up.

When I run into a mob, I have to

1. Fire a single bola shot
2. Cast marked for death
3. Cast shadow power
4. Drop a <caltrops, turret>
5. Start firing rapid fire and wait for the arc of projectiles to rain down on the enemies

The first bola is required because it takes so long for rapid fire to actually hit. Shadow power helps keep me alive, but even with the dmg reduction active, I don't last too long until it starts feeding me lifesteal. When I do the initial bola shot, it lets me get shadow power up, take a few hits, and then gives me some life from the bola which tides me over until rapid fire starts dealing damage.

It's usually about 3 seconds from when I start this to when rapid fire starts hitting.

Going with spike traps isn't much better because of the 1.8 second delay.

I'm not good against single targets because most of my skills are AOE. I'm not super good against huge trash mobs because marked for death is a bit of a debuff in that the guy who spreads the AOE around also takes more damage and dies first, and it takes a while for me to start doing damage.

I am good against MP10 trash mobs and MP5 elites. I'm okay to not great against everything else, and that's with 300k dps.

Had some good AT runs last night. Didn't get many legendaries though. =(

It was a good run. Getting only 3 stacks from festering to start, may be an indicator that RNG was not going to be kind the rest of the run. I think that mp8 was probably a good choice for efficiency though.

I didn't' wind up with a wizard hat like the other two that dropped, only frost burns

did get some rares that should sell however
