on your barb you should be able to do act 2 runs with skipping elites in under 30 min, it will net more exp vs act 1 but its boring as hell, if you have a decent skorn you can swap to a non fury gen build with rend and just fly through it, however i can never make that work correctly

I have become so bored. When I dinged 93, I did the following:

Leveled a HC Barb to 60 and is in Inferno Act 1. It is geared but I need someone to play with just in case of a dc.
I got my Monk geared up and to Paragon level 17.
I got my DH geared up some.

I then dinged 94 and the boredom is driving me crazy. I want to find gear instead of the AH route. This has gotten extremely stale.

Start an Act 2 game (Black soul stone) on a low MP, run through and find the "Vault of the assassins". Once you enter the Vaults log out of the game and restart at the highest MP level you are comfortable with.

Restart the game. Enter and clear the Vault. Teleport to town and go the "Path to the Oasis. Clear the "Dahlgur Oasis" (Enter and Clear the "Forgotten Ruins within the Oasis). If you still have time enter the Aqueducts and clear the "Eastern and Western Passages".

If you follow the above path you can exit out of the game and when you restart a game the Portal to the Vaults will still be present and you can do the run over and over. To the best of my knowledge this run has the highest experience per hour in the game.

I have a friend that went 97-98 in less than two hours. I asked him what he was doing to level so fast. He said he was running on mp8:

Halls of Agony 2 (sometimes 3)
Weeping Hollow
Fields of Misery (and the caverns if it spawns. I believe that is the one loaded with enemies.)

He said he was getting 180 million experience per hour. I am getting about 140 or so. I went from 94 to 95 in around two hours.

My post from June still applies today with exception of clearing halls to butcher. Most parties don't bother with that and end once weeping and fields are cleared.

Really, it's all about the make-up of the party. If everyone is working together and not running off and doing their own thing, it goes a ton quicker.

Cota runs are the fastest. You're in and out withing a few min.

Act 1 is very good but Act 2 is potentially better. I usually do Act 2 runs during the workweek and do Act 1 and Act 3 runs during the weekend just to change things up.

I've seen and read plenty of "studies" and the XP per hour in group was tilted in Act 1's favor. But, it does depend on how fast you can kill elites and how good your group is.

with a well organized party, mp10 decaying crypt runs are one of the best things going right now. it spawns in the fields of misery roughly 1/4 to 1/3 of the time (based only on personal experience). With a group of 4, basically all 4 start a separate game and check if it spawned. Hopefully at least 1 of the 4 will get it and then invite the others to a party. If possible, have a barb/tr monk/etc fly through and find the second level. This should cause the wretched mothers to start spawning. on the 2nd level, pop the resplendent chest and finish the event to get 2 quick stacks. go back and clear the 1st level.

Triple digit millions exp/hr is easy, and i've seen reports on b.net of top notch teams getting 300-400 million/hr

I always hate how everyone kills the wretched mothers right away. They can spawn up to 8 (by my estimation) zombies each; all worth exp. The record kill streak I got of 500 monsters was from Weeping utilizing killing the zombies that were spawned over and over and repositioning myself as much as possible to allow the mothers to keep spawning and not get killed. I didn't take numbers down or anything, but it was pretty fun.

Of course, that was by myself, since no group I've been with is willing to be patient enough for it.

I'd certainly like to try the aforementioned strategy out. With a group I'm sure it'd be a great deal more exp than solo. ^^

Yea this is insane exp. Especially if you get a pull monk and 2 WD's along with any other chars and watch the blue bar go up!

yeah, when I solo it with my monk, i'll just stand still and just attack with cyclone strike: rising tide and let the cyclones from sweeping winds finish off the zombies. They usually don't make it far enough to kill the mothers. When the mothers are done spawning, drop a bell on them and then move on. There usually ends up being two or three areas per run where there is so much loot on the ground, it's hard to move out of the hallway without picking up a handful of useless items

The decaying crypt is just so packed with mobs. Its a fun zone and with a well geared group I could see hitting that ridiculous experience per hour.

Yeah same. I'll probably get to 97 tomorrow afternoon. I want to hit 100 and then might start another character. 100% of my hours of have been on my one SC DH.

This mindset baffles me. If you want to go do other things just go do them. Games are supposed to be fun, and if you're not having fun then why bother?

I want to do other things in this game other than getting Paragon Level 100. I want to finish hardcore, get the unique achievement and kill 100k demons with my DH. All those will take time away from Paragon Leveling.

Well I just started a monk today. It's only my second ever character. I got him up to level 30 so I can use the spectrum I found in whimseyshire. I haven't looked up any builds or anything and am having fun messing around with skills.

Monk builds don't really mesh good until you get the gear to back them up. I remember before the Inferno nerf building a pure defensive LoH monk to beat the game. It was brutal in how long it took, but I was nearly invincible.
