Paying for gold is only worth it if you make your money back, which you essentially cannot do anymore. At this point everyone should just hold off until the expansion, you'll get better gear immediately and can do bounties to get gold.
Depends, do you want to feel you're playing the game and earning your own gold and actually know it's value and spend it intelligently in the process or do you want a shit load of gold puked in your mouth and dilute the game to loot runs and get bored after a month?
I'd never pay real money for false gold, even if it were $1 for 50000000000k millions.
But to each his own.
IMO, play the game and enjoy the experience.
You're better off just grinding it out. You won't need 50 million any time soon.
Got 2 upgrades on my monk last night! Crazy, I know. Found some legendary shoulders that were just better than Vile Wards and found a ring that was just amazing. 300 + dex and vit, increased lightning damage AND a special effect that lightning damage has a 15% chance to stun. I might go back to Fist of Thunder now for the ultimate stun.
I definitely see adding stunlocks in with my monk with RoS.
Unless they nerf the Bell stun, I can pretty much stun lock already. Especially, if I have another monk spamming overawe rather than myself.
Where do you see that? There is an option when I go to buy RoS that specifically allows battle.net balance.

Party play is going to be really high after the patch. All these new/returning players and adventure mode is really more party friendly than when doing runs over and over of the same spot. A dedicated group can do it, but adventure mode will really make it easier. Which is why I guess why being able to share loot only with the party might be ok.
Everything? From repairing gear, making gems, using the mystic, imbuing items, transmogrifying items, everything. And you wont be able to sell items for big chunks of money anymore from the AH. So you will only have the gold that you find, or gold from selling items to the NPC's.
The cost for that doesn't seem significant compared to the gold you can find. And I imagine if it becomes a problem, players will whine and Blizz will reduce cost.

Yeah, and gold isn't hard to find. I started the patch with 1.097 billion gold. Since then, I have around 1.17 billion and have not used the AH. I made around 10 million just from farming and that is why crafting gems and removing stuff around.
I am debating selling 500 million on the RMAH, just to buy RoS. It was like $100 per billion when they reenabled it.

Having fun so far playing a Wizard. Trying to play all the classes up to Skeleton king to get a good idea of what I want to play. But I do want to try to Crusader when RoS launches, so I may just stick with the Wizard until then.
I'll probably buy a little gold before the AH goes offline just to have a cushion for crafting/etc--considering how cheap it is compared to how much you use in-game. As everyone says, it's pretty easy to obtain it, and you don't really need a lot for normal play, but I never did make much gold in this game. I went above 7 mil for the first time the other day by trying to liquidate all my old junk. I had an item sell for 15 mil and a couple for ~3-5 mil woot! Pretty good considering what I paid for them way back, and I got some use out of them...most my purchases were in the 250k or less range.
Some lower level gems were selling for waaaaaay more than I expected them to also. It makes me wonder what I'm missing out on.
The AH search filters are quite annoying though. It seems they have removed some things like MF from the filters, but also haven't added in some of the new stats rares can have.
In case you guys don't know, running Core of Arreat on T1 / T2 and skipping everything but elites, chests, and goblins is currently the best way to farm legendaries.

Yep. If you're the leader of a party though, you have to wait for everyone to leave, or they get booted from it, which is incredibly annoying.
It is not worth it doing past T2, unless you party is all above like 300k or something insane. You want to kill as fast as possible.
How many Elites do you typically run into on the core, btw? I have a nice nemisis bracer to, so shrines are a bonus.
Go play Torment 6I am really impressed with the loot drop now. The damage on my DH went from 3k to 45k now. That's just going up 3 levels, however, it feels like they really made the game MUCH easier, however I am just playing on "Hard"
