there is a selection for advance skill management that allows you to pick more than one from a skill area.

They do in adventure mode at least, I haven't gone back into campaign yet after just beating Maltheal last night. I feel like they would/should, are you sure?

Yes, the other modes are scaled, but acts 1-4 didn't seem to be in storyline. I was running T2 with my brother's new characters PL'ing him (which works very well FYI) and getting level 66 drops (being 70) and everything was dying extremely fast. I used to run T2 at level 60 and go through it easily, but not have trash die just by being in my SW. I didn't get to try T6 yet again to see if it's feasible.

Edit: Tried storyline mode again with the earlier acts and they weren't as easy. I'm guessing this was due to the lower level of my brother's character and the game scaling the difference.

I'm sure the experience base amounts in these acts are much lower than adventure mode and A5, but the bonus may more than make up the difference. I'll test it today when I get home; break out the spreadsheets. ^^

After I bit the bullet and dropped my WKL (RIP!) and switched my build up a bit I ended up doing far better in A5. Completed it on T1, Maltheal did take a few tries. That's one hell of an annoying fight for a melee because of those clouds on the ground.

Yeah, I'm going to have a very hard time giving up my gear. As it stands now, I'm very built on having 50%+ CC and 2.8 APS+. The small bumps in necessary stats from PL aren't enough to compensate for the loss incurred from moving to basic higher level gear. I did replace my Fist of Azturasq for a rare 1800 DPS sword with 500+ dex/vit and socket and that bumped my damage by 200k, but it took a while to find that one. :/

I enjoy the Malthael fight as a melee. I've become complacent for standing in just about anything that bosses throw at me, so the need to actually move in a fight is refreshing. Though this is likely just due to being undergeared at 70 and that'll probably change, it's still a welcomed challenge.

Diablo was only the only guaranteed legendary at 60 (and only once per quest reset) - they may have made it so that Maltheal is the only one at 70.

This is true if you have the expansion. I had to finish my quest line to get to A5 when the expansion hit and killed Diablo and got zero legendaries. Malthael rewarded 2 legendaries when I finally did kill him.

what's everyone running on their crusaders?

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Fenixgoon-1961/hero/43622034

slash (electrify) - 25% chance stun
blessed shield (staggering shield) - 25% chance stun
condemn (vacuum)
provoke (cleanse)
iron skin (steel skin)
falling sword (superheated)

basically, stun the crap out of anything that survives my condemn/falling sword combo. seems to be working well so far at lvl29 in act2 playing on expert.

Gonna try that out on my 30 crusader

Black hole combined with Mirror Image/Duplicates is pretty awesome.

I black hole them with the ice mod, Blizzard them and then frost nova to freeze them in the damage for 3 seconds and then toss frozen orbs at them. It mows down even blue elites to half life or less (sometimes I can knock one out) depending how many guys get sucked in. The blues that split apart are the best because it sucks all those in and I get a damage modifier of 20+ sometimes.

Pretty similar to what I have setup right now @ lvl 51.

Found a socketed one of these this morning, added a ruby for extra damage.

Currently melting stuff for the most part, well, it is normal, because I am tired of the story line BS and want to get to act 5.

Just for the hell of it I went into T3 campaign to hit up COTA once and the elite in there had ~270M HP iirc. It definitely is scaling with you.

I did some rifts with my friends last night, while they sometimes look cool (old maps with new lighting/weather/ambience/enemies) I'm not entirely sure what niche they're supposed to fill. I know there are some special event rifts (goblins/cows/ponyland/something) but I feel like bounties are more rewarding and otherwise they're not really distinguishable from just running around slaughtering stuff in normal adventure areas.

Probably going to start a crusader tonight. I defeated Malthael last night. I was playing solo, and had to drop the difficulty to hard (?!) with my Character in order to kill him. Just kept dieing almost instantly. With the abilities I use I have 240k dps and 2.4m toughness. I had a similar issue (had worse gear) when I took on Adria. Then played Adria again with a group, and blew right through with zero issues. So at least to me, solo'ing seems far more difficult in ACT 5.

This is the loadout I use: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#aegSNk!YdcS!ZcYZaZ

I typically cast mirror image first, then I try to get somewhat near the monsters I'm facing, as that seems to make the images cast black hole. Then I will unload with Arcane Torrent near the black hole and alternate with Glacial Spike. The Cascade skill rune for Arcane Torrent seems to work really well when the enemies are bunched up, as I'm assuming that the 12.5% chance to cast another missile at a nearby enemy applies per enemy hit. Since the Arcane Torrent missiles hit in a small area, one missile can hit multiple enemies and therefore give multiple chances for an addition missile per attack. It seems to work really well in practice.

I'm using a lvl 69 Thunderfury which is an amazing weapon (from what I can tell). It's socketed with a +110% crit damage rune. My crit chance is only around 20% or so, and my crit damage is around +180%. I want these to be much higher. Kinda sucks being a wizard that you miss out on an extra weapon slot for extra +crit damage.

I forget what lvl I switched to Torment 1 at, but I've been running solo, exclusively at that difficulty, all the way through Malthael (what a giant pain in the butt he was).

Yeah, I beat Act 5 for the first time last night. Got destroyed by Malthael a few times before I dropped difficulty down to hard, I'm going to have to re-gear aiming for damage reduction and hp. I was in Adventure mode with 97% done in my first Nephalem Rift when I lost connection to BNet. Anyone know if the rift will still be open when I start my next game tonight?

Damn, I really want to buy this game. I want the CE but I just couldn't justify paying $80 for it. I've already bought SC2:WOL, SC2:HOTS, and D3 CE's and they were $100 each and looking back, just seems crazy to spend so much on a game. However, I am a sucker for Blizzard CEs. Unfortunately there aren't any copies available at the moment. Hoping to see a new wave of CEs hit later with a price decrease heh.

Edit: Actually, newegg seems to have some in stock. To spend $80 or not...decisions, decisions.

Edit 2: I guess Amazon has more instock now too. Guess there was more supply.

Blizzard makes the CE's pretty limited on quantity. I know when I got my SC2:WoL CE, they were gone within a week or two. I was very tempted with it at $80, because it still has a lot of cool stuff.

I'm with you man, Blizzard CEs are awesome. Looking at it from a price/% point though:

D3 was $60 and $100 for reg/CE.

RoS is $40 and $80 for reg/CE.

33% drop in price for reg, vs only 20% drop in price for CE. Definitely paying a premium for an expansion.

Only (pc) games I buy full price are Blizzard, and this one was no exception. I really like the mouse pad included in this CE, it looks real sharp.

Nice. If it's anything like the mousepad from SC2:HOTS, then it should be very nice.

I love Blizzard's art books, music CDs, and mousepads. Are they worth any additional $40? Maybe not, but so hard not to get the CE lol

It's not just amazon. Walmart & Target also have unfilled prepaids that I know of.

Debating on whether to cancel my preorder or keep and see about reselling.

T1 is no joke now. I'm a wd with 300 vit and 400+ dps. Still struggle a bit. Man, I miss my zuni set and uk serpant. Mana management is so tough now, and loh doesn't seem to proc with rain of toads and AC like it used to.

A bit off topic but just bought the Book of Cain, amazing book. Beautiful book filled with lore as if wrote by Cain himself, lots of illustrations and a effing nice map of the Diablo world.

The book describes the event from D1 to the very end of D2/beginning of D3.

Awesome book for Diablo fans and not too expensive.
