Nobody's taught the masses how to play it yet. A year and a half ago the prevailing thought was that barb was a second class citizen until some guy posted that "hey, this sprint/whirlwind thing works pretty good!" and then it took off and barbs were pre-expansion gods.

I haven't played Crusader yet myself but I'd wager they're going to be just fine.

It was like that for all classes really, except Demon Hunters. Everyone was initially like "Omg! I put on SS and have thousands of DPS! So good!" and then realized those classes sucks. Some guy then was like "well, I wasted all this time on a WD, let's try out spinning bat thing with a Skorn and OMG EVERYTHING DIES INSTANTLY!!!!" Someone will find a good Crusader build and everyone will stop crying how bad they are and instead start crying their character is garbage and how they need to nerf something.

I think I have made the game a little boring for myself by sticking with only wizard for so long, but I have come to know it pretty well inside and out. I wish some of the skills and runes were more consistent in their usefulness. It's gotten a lot better though since 1.08.

I have to say I liked Archon better when it was a sustainable mode than a burst of power like it is now, but at least there's a set to build around it. Then I see stuff like Meteor Molten Impact and I think, how does that compare to Seven-Sided Strike? A 15 second cooldown that has a delay to hit, for roughly 2200% total weapon damage versus 5677% weapon damage (on a single target) every 30 seconds that doesn't miss? Maybe not a good comparison, but aside from Archon, wizard doesn't have a big boomer spell/rune, unfortunately.

The thing I love about my wizard is there are so many viable build combos. I've been alternating a bunch of builds just to have fun I don't really care how quickly they kill as long as it's fun. Stuff like popping in via teleport with the rune that spawns duplicates and then hitting slow time and black hole while raining meteors. Looking for a melee class with similar versatility that is fun to mess around with a lot of fun, viable builds. Not sure if that's barb, monk or crusader.

Ah, you found a Mirror Ball. Very fun source. If you like, take a look at my profile to see how I've set up my skills. The profiles are slow to update, so not all the gear matches correctly yet, but I stacked fire % damage, Magic Missile % damage, and Hydra % damage on gear.

The ring that reduces the set piece requirements by 1 is so good. I must have that!

I was thinking about that. That would be perfect to have to complement the Mirror Ball source with the Firebird's Finery set. That ring would have a ton of uses besides that though.

Found a Cindercoat, so with that legendary (increases fire damage and reduces the hatred cost of fire spells), the spell cluster arrow (loaded for bear rune), and some +% fire damage items, and a slow but hard hitting crossbow...

It feels like I have a big giant shotgun, and I am yelling "Say hello to my little friend!!!"

Finally geared up enough to handle t1 with ease. Not blowing through it, but handling it at a decent rate and barely dying. Hopefully I can get some torment legendaries now.

I've been having a ton of fun playing exclusively solo. My gear is quite good now too I think. I'm a lvl 70 wizard, 45 plvl, around 425k dps, 600k hps, something like 6+ million toughness. I've got an assortment of legendaries and nice rares. I play pretty much exclusively in Torment 1, and it's fairly easy for the most part.

I can't speak for a DH, but on my Wizard I use the Templar follower. He helps keep me alive often. What follower are you using?

I was using the Scoundrel. He dies constantly in Torment. I just switched to the Templar, but his gear is all level 60 for now.

The expansion is definitely worth it. Actually, the changes to the game since 2.0 make the game much more fun, imo. Give the vanilla game a shot now, see how you like it, then consider the expansion. I can't say too much about the new Crusader class as mine is only lvl 18'ish now. So far, he's just "meh".

Doing a new build using the creeper passive with my wd. I use. Locust, pirahana, and haunt now. Rain of toads and well of soulls for attack. Only have to cast haunt, and locust on a mob once and their life just drains+ they give mana back to me to spam well of souls. Piranado to group them all together and I roll with a dh budy that nukes em with loaded for bear. Also use blood ritual for mana cost reduction.. Grave injustice to reduce cd for spirit walk and piranado. Once I complete my jade set for the 20 mana regen.. Ill go back to focusing on reduce cost + mana regen so I can use bears again.

Wanna beat game with all toons, but adventure mode is lots of fun.

Yeah I'm slowly creeping them all to 70. Now that my DH is handling T1 pretty easily its hard to stop playing him.

I'm holding off until I see more reviews before trying the expansion. D3 was fun at first too, but I found that it lacked the replayability of D2. I tried loot 2.0 and I'm not really impressed. The numbers are bigger, but that's about it. I found a pair of Hammer Jammers -"These large pants can't be touched" - but they don't actually do anything interesting.

I actually haven't played my DH much since getting him to 70. I'm having fun with my wizard for now. My crusader is at 68 or something too.

All the stats are way off. Dmg 580k, toughness 4.3m.

AS - 34
CC - 44%
CDMG - 408%

Resist average is over 1000, armor is 5242.

IMHO, short of having a Ladder with seasonal resets, Adventure Mode is the absolute best thing that could have happened to increase replayability. It's amazingly fun. Bounties, bounty quest rewards, nephalem rifts, item gambling with blood shards; it's the most inspired thing to happen since D2's Ladder system.

Do yourself a favor and don't wait too long to grab the expansion. You won't regret it.
