I haven't played in a while, so I may have a stupid question to ask: what is this blue circle on the ground that I keep seeing appear?

PSA kids, don't drunk enchant. Got my Monk to 70 last night, it was late and I'd had a few adult beverages. I scrounged around my stash and found an amulet from my wizard that had +fire damage and thought "cool re roll that int for dex and I'm good!" Spent 5 souls and a decent amount of gold in gems before getting dex and then realizing it said ARCANE not fire. I had another amulet in my stash that was +fire and had been enchanting the wrong damn one.

This incident actually made me think wouldn't it be cool if you could convert the primary stat on an item WITHOUT it counting as an enchantment? Still would cost mats to do it but it would let you transfer legendary items between characters that don't have the same primary stat freely and leave another affix you can enchant.

Keyfarmed for about 7 hrs, ended up rolling 2 hellfires, one is decent enough. Got a few + % fire items and a 2nd piece of crusaders. Now I need a RRoG and start working towards 2 other sets and keep rolling for cindercoats lol. Cluster Arrow is starting to hit for ~18 million + secondaries + area dmg.

There is a belt (?), I think it's "Cord of the Sherma" with "Chance on hit to create a chaos field that Blinds and Slows enemies inside for 2–4 seconds.". I had this one too and it created this effect/blue field.

Thanks. That definitely sounds like what it is. I should pay more attention to new attributes, particularly because I have that belt.

Why are those even stats? Couldn't they be replaced by something half way useful?

Health Globes bonus is about as good of a second stat as you can get on most slots (unless you're a monk) and scales pretty well with the life per fury/wrath/spirit passives.

That said, I don't really see much of a reason to fuss with Hellfire Rings at 70 currently. You might get a good 'legendary' level roll I suppose but good rare rings are not all that difficult to come by and the better legendaries for that slot would outperform it noticeably (Royal Ring, SoJ).

So I don't know if it's a bug that will be fixed or what, but when you find a couple of legendaries (plans included) together (like within 2 minutes of each other) you should immediately go to Kadala and gamble. Did this 3 times over the weekend and got 4 legendaries from her from spending about 400 shards. Way better than what my usual return is from her.

Got way busier with easter and some other stuff this weekend than I thought I would, ended up only doing a single bounty run sat & sun night. Did manage to get 2 legendaries one night and 3 the other, too bad this was on a leveling up char though.

Didn't play much this weekend, but spent some time on the barb. There is some kind of bug with Avalanche right now where it will instantly refill charges (if you're using the charge rune, obviously). I was spamming that on elites and just destroying them.

Haven't figured out what causes it though.

You were probably charged from that shrine that significantly reduces your cooldowns and reduces resource costs. With that buff, you can just hold the button down and avalanche everything. Same with Monks and dashing strike and Barbs with Revenge.

I noticed it too and noticed it was only happening after we hit that particular shrine.

I checked and wasn't under any shrine effects. It wouldn't continuously "fill", like under the effect, but it would refill charges kind of buggy. Like, I'd spam 3 charges, then it would automatically jump back up to 2, I'd spam those and it would jump back to 3. Almost as if the server was rolling back my uses, except the damage was being output.

Any WD's running the pets build with the mask of jerami and tasker and theo? I had that mask, and salvaged it a while back. Way before the pets buff. Kinda kickin myself. Just wondering if it is worth farming for that again with Kadala. I dig my overall DOTS build+bears+poison damage. I have the carnevil, gidbin, and homonculus... might mess around with running pets. I'd have to switch to darts for carnevil to be effective though, but I love using spirit barrage as my primary with rush of essence. So many options for this WD, I have no time for my other characters.

I hit 70 last night on my Barbarian. It was pretty tortuous until I found a better build that felt like it could fight with some oomph regardless of what I'm fighting. I seem to really like fire, because I'm using +fire gear on my Barbarian too. I switched to using Bash (Pulverize) and Hammer of the Ancients (Smash) along with Furious charge (Battering Ram), War Cry (Invigorate), Battle Rage (Bloodshed), and Wrath of the Berserker (Insanity). My passives are Ruthless, Weapons Mastery, Bloodthirst and Unforgiving. I'm still not sold on Unforgiving (regen rage instead of losing it); I hit 70 in the middle of Pandemonium Fortress and I just needed something. I was losing rage pretty quickly with Hammer of the Ancients, so I figured whatever could help stem that would work well. I'm still using a 2H, but I see people above mentioning that DW is better?

I also got my Wizard to 70 over the weekend, and he was actually quite fun to play. I use a Magic Missile (Charged Blast), Disintegrate (Convergence), Black Hole (Spellsteal), Archon (Improved Archon), Ice Armor (Frozen Storm) and Magic Weapon (Conduit) along with the passives Blur, Prodigy, Astral Presence and Audacity. Unlike my Monk and Barbarian, I use an Arcane build on this guy (apart from Ice Armor). What I have noticed is that the signature spells are pretty weak, and I can't really rely on them much for good, sustained DPS. So, I end up using Disintegrate often, which is really taxing on my arcane power. So, that's why I use the Conduit rune (makes attacks have a chance of restoring 1 AP) along with the passive that lets signature spells return AP and the passive that makes AP recharge. The other negative aspect about Disintegrate is that it really requires you to line 'em up, which I actually find fun. Speaking of fun, when talking about Wizards, you can't forget... "op-chon"! :biggrin: Although, what's kind of annoying is that while I am an arcane Wizard, I keep finding legendaries that grant +fire. I found a Magefist, but fortunately, I was able to switch the intelligence to dexterity. I also found an Andariel's Visage, but I can't get a clean swap on that. It has intellect and lacks a socket.

I also got that Arcane Heals You necklace on my Crusader. Man... that is way too awesome to use. I ended up fighting an arcane-enchanted champion pack after that, and I was giddy like a school boy! The arcane beams and molten death explosions are pretty much the only elemental effects that seem to hurt him anymore

Also got another reagent from Malthael. After getting them fairly often, I probably ought to craft the bracers since most of my characters have resource difficulties in higher difficulty rifts. My Monk is also in very dire need of some resistances. I think his highest is 430 compared to my Wizard whose highest is 1230 (Intellect grants resistance though). If the tooltip is right, my Wizard has something like 96% poison damage reduction as it adds the 17% damage reduction bonus from the Blur passive!

Disintegrate works with weapon speed - if using 1-h you will lose arcane power quickly. When my wizard had a 2-hander he could use Dis without the AP ever dropping from full.

I was using a disintegrate as the only damage dealer on my Wizard for awhile, it was pretty fun with Chaos Nexus. Just sit and burn stuff down.

Right now since I found fire gear (magefist, my Reaper's Wraps rolled with +20% fire), I switched to Spectral Blades: Flame Blades as my builder with Meteor: Meteor Shower as my spender. Whats kind of cool is I also have a Storm Crow which gives +19% to lighting and has a chance to cast a fiery ball when attacking, and a Thunderfury. So the Storm Crow helps out my Thunderfury, and all my +fire stuff helps out that fireball my Storm Crow sends out. I also have Death Watch Mantle that has a chance to exploded with knives for 200% damage when hit, and Razor Strop that makes health globes cause an explosion for 348% Fire damage when I pick them up. So I get a lot of passive DPS in addition to my active skills.

Now that I have my Monk to 70 I need to figure out what to do with him. Of course now I have the itch to just level another character. I'll catch up to TallBill in no time!

I'm running Mask of Jeram (no Tasker and Theo after 8k shards gambled...) and the pet build will easily get you going in low torment, and scale higher as you find additional pieces to support it. I think having both MoJ and T&T with decent dps and toughness will get you through Torment 4 solo pretty easily. Adding 4 pc Zuni bonus and a Starmetal Kukri and you're going to be able to do T5-T6 without too much issue.

Without the better pet build pieces, I'm hybrid fire/pet geared since that's what's dropping for me. My WD for reference:

Hmm I used Meteor before I switched to Disintegrate, but it never felt like it had that sort of oomph that I needed in regard to the AP that it uses. However, I'm not sure what rune I was using with it since that was so long ago. Disintegrate was defintely a lot better when I added the convergence rune. Without it, the beam is just too darned small for clearing out large packs of mobs! What I normally do is run past most of my enemies, which slows them down via Frost Armor, turn around, and blast them all as they end up forming a huge line behind me!

Although, I am keeping an eye on switching to fire though. I got another one of those arcane absorption amulets last night on my Wizard, and I think it has +fire on it as well. I really wasn't kidding about the game dropping hints!

Now that I have my Monk to 70 I need to figure out what to do with him. Of course now I have the itch to just level another character. I'll catch up to TallBill in no time!

Ah, I got a 2H legendary intellect sword as my free Malthael legendary -- mind you, this was on my Monk -- which also has -level requirement. I've been using that since level 55, and it's done pretty well for me so far. Part of me feels weird using The Grandfather as a Wizard, and I've been tempted to switch to a more "Wizard-like" gear setup. However, if that will hurt me, I probably should ignore it.

Although, my AP can (and has) definitely hit 0 while in a higher difficulty Rift.
