I'd recommend this site to compensate for the Paper DPS lies:

It takes your all your stats and actually gives you a proper DPS, Elemental & Elite % modifiers included. I actually dropped 300k dps to 1m for my Carnevil build and clear so much faster due to adding some Poison damage, IAS, HP and Haunt of Vaxo clones.

Diablo Progress tells me exactly how much dps each of INT, CC IAS, CDR etc will add for the biggest benefit.

For lightning players, especially wizards I guess: how many of you have been able to find a Shard of Hate or a Velvet Camaral? I have not seen either drop, and have spent thousands of shards on helms for the Velvet. I have also never seen a Thunderfury drop.

My second Fulminator dropped the other day and was an upgrade over my original one, but that means (for a lightning build) since RoS I've had:

About 4 storm crows drop; 2 fulminators; one lightning stone of jordan; a few thundergods; 2 Myken's; 1 strongarm with lightning damage. I'm rocking the aforementioned with 2 piece Vyr's and 2 piece firebirds.

I'm trying to join an Anandtech (EU) clan - messaged Cappuccino but have yet to get a response. Any active EU players on? I'm a bit desperate to get a good group going in a T3-T4 range to blast through rifts and gear appropriately for 2.1. I'm only looking to spec my wizard - I have no other characters, and I'm happy to drop upgrades for other players without recompense. Shard of Hate and Velvet are my priorities - I could go for a frost sword/boots/winter fury as well, but have never had any of those 3 items drop...

Found 4 Thunderfurys, 2 SoH and a WoH. I have pretty much found all the wiz bis gear but I have not found a WH yet though.

Once you have found/added your account you need to click on update on the top right of the screen. Wait a few seconds then refresh the page & it should have all your lvl 70 chars. Click on one of your chars and repeat the update process for that char and it will load his gear & stats and calculate all the relevant data. You may have to add in your paragon & some follower/player buffs for solo/group play to reflect those but you can easily do that on the right of the screen when looking at your toon.

For example my Disintegrate Arcane Wiz has this as his E-DPS and how to make it better:

Elemental DPS: 1,555,091.99 (Arcane)

• 1.00% +Arcane Skills Damage gives you 8,886.24 dps
• 1.00% Critical Hit Chance gives you 21,957.93 dps
• 1.00% Critical Damage gives you 2,377.14 dps
• 1.00% Attack Speed gives you 11,536.29 dps
• 100 Intelligence gives you 19,934.52 dps

Been working on my wiz lately, and I'm running a new build I created. It's working pretty well, and is pretty fun. Tals set is required for this.

The bonus gives you a meteor for each elemental damage spell you cast, and the cooldown for each meteor type is 8 seconds. So, I figure.. why not set 4 skillz to 4 different elementals and let tals bonus go to work.

So, I'm using TF with myken ball.

Primary skill is electrocute - second rune.
secondary is ray of frost - last rune

4 other actives are:
Diamond skin - crystal shell
Teleport - Calamity (for arcane damage)
black hole - fire rune
ice armor - 2nd rune.

So, I use each damage skill just to proc a meteor and move on to the next.

It goes something like,

Electrocute, frost ray, black hole, calamity, diamond skin to get out (if needed), rinse/repeat.

I can solo t4 easily like this and did pretty well in a pub t6.

I forgot what passives I used.. I'll post later.

What are people's thoughts on Crusaders? Played on release and got bored but just getting back into it. Got a Crusader at 59 about to kill Maltheal and just curious as to how they are closer to end game. Loving the play style right now though.

Once you buy the expansion you will get 3legs per hour and not 3 legs every 3 hours

The expansion is totally worth getting BUT you have to get use to the same old boring grinding! :biggrin:

I gave up on lightning wiz simply because the Camaral was impossible to find. From the mined data, we saw it had one of the lowest drop rates of any legendary.

I usually just stick to my monk, in fear of finding awesome legendaries on a low level alt or a character that really doesn't need (or will not benefit nearly as much) what my monk does.

Last time I did, I found my first Fulminator while playing my Crusader (within 4 hours of gameplay on him). I had to reroll strength for a socket and suck up the loss of no dex. I've moved on since then and no longer use it (currently running an Odyn Son and WKL).

This time, I was derpin' around, leveling my DH (level 46). Guess what drops after only an hour on him: a wyrdward. This is something I've been hoping for on my monk (whom happens to be lightning) and can actually make work with my other gear without much synchronous issue. After 280 hours on my monk after RoS released, the way this loot system trolls me still surprises.

Also, I still haven't found a Shard of Hate or Thunderfury.

Anyone else notice this or am I alone on this problem? >.<

I ran into similar issues. I believe it is case sensitive and you also need the number after your name like MyBattleTag#1234

I didn't know mine either - In the Battle.net Windows client, if you click your name it expands and shows you the number after it. I'm guessing the web client would show it somewhere as well.

Yes it is case sensitive and you need your full battletag

I was able to just search by my battle tag w/o the #, and it brought it up plus other tags with capitalized first letter. Seems like it will search all cases w/ or w/o tag #.

What are people's thoughts on Crusaders? Played on release and got bored but just getting back into it. Got a Crusader at 59 about to kill Maltheal and just curious as to how they are closer to end game. Loving the play style right now though.

I might be lucky, but I tend to group with Crusaders that seem really overpowered to me. There are two sorts of Crusaders I seem to find:

(i) the one that charges forward on that horse or whatever, and just 'stomps' the ground making this spike, that quickly wipes out groups of enemies, particularly if I black hole them onto the crusader; and

(ii) the one that runs around aggroing everything into these spinning shields, either green, or some grey axe that flies around.

Everything seems to melt. After seeing them (and watching some replays of Witch Doctors in greater rifts now) I began to reconsider the wizard class, which even with MM + Mirrorball + the exploding blast chain thing, the damage doesn't seem comparable at all.

In the boat of never finding a Shard or a TF, but I've found three wyrmwards (drops). I didn't think they were that hard to find. I'm using one with my wiz for a stun-lightning style play which is great in groups, but a bit slow to solo (damage seems low aside from lightning meteor spam).

Couple questions -

Are rifts better than bounties for getting gear? Obviously you have to do bounties to get the rift tokens or whatever they are called.

Do you explore/complete the entire rift/bounty level or do you just do the objective and move on to the next one?

Are certain Acts better for gear in bounties or rifts or are they pretty much the same?

What is the best way to try to get gear at 70 and after you completed the campaign mode?
