2. For my second character, I can't decide if I should level up a monk, demon hunter, or witch doctor. Any suggestions/opinions?

Do you want melee at all? Since you've just done a ranged to 70 maybe you want a change in which case Monk is the biggest change between these 4 classes IMO! If you don't want melee go for a witch doctor.

Actually, OWE does make you search specifically for a single type of resist on everything - as that particular resistance goes up, so does everything else. Max one, max all.

It did, but as far as I know the latest update made it so that 40% of single resists of any type are applied to AR - rather than 100% of your highest single resist.

Well, I can survive T1 okay, but it's not fast to clear at all, not sure if DPS is just too low or what. And, if not fast, it's not efficient for gathering upgrades either. So...yeah.

I'm a bit slow to reply, but clear time is totally up to you.

You won't get certain drops unless you're in torment, though. I can't remember what your class is, but if it's crusader, you'll just have synergize some skills for output, which would also mean giving up some toughness. I never waited to gamble awesome things before jumping into torment. I always try to get into it as fast as possible. But that's my playstyle.

At the end of the day, it's up to you and how you feel. I understand valuing clear time completely. Especially now with grifts. I was just chiming in on toughness.

Seasons were great in D2 I don't know what you are talking about.

Yeah, depending on OWE is less of a factor for my monk, since stacking armor seems to be much more effective. After ~1000 resist (base, not active), I'll opt for other secondaries, especially control reduction.

I'm actually hoping I can get to the point of not needing it to free up that slot.

I found a goblin portal (my fourth) while farming keys. I made 200 million gold on T6 with my Barb. It took me three attempts at killing Greed. I had my gold gear on. Once I swapped, he died fast.

I got another BotH gem.

Seasons were great in D2 I don't know what you are talking about.

The problem with seasons with D3 are that there is no economy you need to reset, and you can switch your build at any time.

I haven't played much in the past month or so, but I have just levelled a season monk to 70+20 or so now. I got my first goblin portal last night, which was tons of fun. I got 4 legendaries and a gem in it!

I've also had legendaries dropping like crazy, which is pretty neat.

I am already bored after coming back for 2.1. You can only run rifts and greater rifts so many times.

I have only d3se not expension , and haven't played for about 6 months. Everywhere I see its changed and its all different from what it was. I want to know what's new for me before downloading that 15 GB.

Read the patch notes for yourself or search the thread, then. It's a better game now, but you really would want the expansion to reap the full benefit.

I got into some T1 rifts this weekend, went fairly smooth except for one instance where I had my first near-death experience. Ran into two different Yellow monsters and three packs of Blue elites at the same time, there were walls and arcane lasers and freeze bombs going off everywhere! Was handling it okay until a freeze caught me momentarily right as I was running across the source of an arcane laser (where the damage is constant and doesn't sweep away from you). In like 1/2 second watched my red globe drop, drop, empty...and either my Indestructible skill or my Skeleton King Pauldrons kicked in and saved my butt. Whew! Extricated myself from the pack, picked them off a couple at a time and got through it. But for a moment there, I swear my heart just stopped...ah the pleasure of running hardcore!!

Had quite a few legendary drops, but absolutely nothing useful, not a single upgrade. And I'm not really geared all that well. Any of you higher level guys, which crafted sets are good for crusaders and what stats do I want to focus on getting on them?

I actually got the achievement for finding all pieces of Tal Rasha's set this past weekend. Would have been impossible without the buffed drops.

I now have the capability to run Firebirds + Tal Rasha's and it is pretty powerful, I just have a hard time giving up ice for the freeze effects.

I don't use any of the crafted sets. I've got a combination of Akkhan's set and Blackthorne's going with a RRoG to get the most bonuses out of both. I don't have all the bonuses from Akkhan's yet, but once I find the right pair of Akkhan's gloves I will.

For reference, I've just started into T6 and the highest greater rift I've defeated is level 26.

I've been focusing on crit chance/damage and str primarily. (since I'm not hardcore) I focused heavily on bumping my damage, then restoring toughness without sacrificing my damage. You could go for a Cain's combo to get the attack speed bump and then Aughild's set for the elite bonuses.

Aughild's is a decent crafted set. Shoulders + bracers and RRoG = 15% elite damage and reduction. I don't know Crusader builds, but those are generally the two easiest slots to have crafted stuff in on most classes. Reaper Wraps are the only legendary in either slot that has a desirable effect IIRC.

Don't forget about strongarm bracers for certain builds. This only really concerns Monks and Barbarians though.

Forgot about Strong Arm Bracers, but yeah, I don't think Crusaders have anything in the wrist slot that is important enough to take away the 15% elite damage and elite damage reduction. That could be really nice in HC.

If you get a RoRG, you can stack a few sets, and it will help a ton.

Then it comes down to what slots are left. Guardians Aversion gets the the toughness going, or maybe you can find a couple pieces of Blackthorne's or gamble for some Akhans or Roland's. I guess Roland still won't get you far in T6, but for moving past T1 into T3-4, I imagine it will be pretty great.

Best at T1 level to get a 4 piece blackthornes, those should drop between T1-T3 quite often. Once you reach T3 you'll see the more end game set show up. Blackthornes final set bonus ignores all ground based elite damage, except for arcane. So molten, disease, etc.

When you reach T2-T3 you'll start to get akkans(sp) set pieces. if you are going for one of the builds that is based off of akkans champion for providing a decent amount of damage, then transition to that.

I'm currently able to handle T1 clears pretty well. T2 takes a while. I have my rrog, so I have blackthornes, and 2 of the crafted set final bonuses. The crafted ones provide some damage reduction, and bonus damage to elites.

I have RoRG already but just got my first Blackthorne drop this weekend and it rolled worse than the random legendary belt I already have. Forget the exact bracer I am using but it gives +movement which is nice, I don't have high enough Paragon yet to make up for it (only around 70). I have been very slow to get blacksmith plans or decent gear drops though, unlike on my softcore account RNGesus doesn't like me very much. Plus, because I was so worried about dying, I only just went into T1 difficulty, which might be why the drops have sucked.
