Finally got a few gifts this week myself.

Made the top 1000 with my WD today with a 13:35 on 35. Hoping to clear a 36 today as well as a 38 on my wizard.

At this point I need a good hellfire on my dh, wiz, and wd.... Im running out of souls lol

Anyway, My T2 Wiz was running a 17 grift and died so many times that everything broke. And I'm currently out of gold to fix him up. Having to play another toon to raise the money for him to repair, at which point I'm dropping back down to T1. It was ridiculous.

Just get full firebirds on your Wiz, I was running a disentegrate build before and had issues going any higher than GR22, finally completed my 6 pc and completed GR30 my first try, I had to go out for the football games so I just upgraded GEM.

Once I get my second unity I should be able to do GR35+, just taking too much dmg now, get one shot by a lot of affixes that are unavoidable.

Just did a 36 grift yesterday with my Wizard... about ~2:30 left. Went for the 37 and just got destroyed with the setup.

A lot of progress depends on the grift you get. I can get destroyed in a 31 or 32 if I don't have room to move around. I usually make it to at least 33 or 34 at this point, but if there are a lot of archers let's say, they just do too much damage and I can't keep a DoT on them because I have to move too far away. I try to teleport past them and then I get stuck in an even bigger group.

Even grifts destroy you with RNG.

You make it sound so easy. It certainly hasn't been for lack of trying. I have two pieces. One more piece and a RoRG will certainly go a long way. I took a paper damage hit, but it was for an Odyn Son, so I think it was worth it.

I will be running a ton of rifts and grifts at T1 now, so that should help. The differences between my softcore and hardcore are interesting. Basically, I also need a boon of the hoarder in softcore so that this never happens again.

Having the same cashflow problems here on my softcore toons. Got the Boon on my HC crusader (been through two goblin portals on Hard difficulty) but haven't been able to find a portal on any of my SC toons.

Is the portal a level 70 only thing? As in, you won't trigger a portal while leveling a character?

odyn syn isn't very good for firebirds. You should try for a maximus if you can, and gamble for chest first (might get lucky with a cindercoat)

It's not as if I'm anywhere near full firebird's. It was also a drop, and an improvement over what I had.

I realize that once I have enough pieces of Firebird's to matter, I'll switch over to fire stuff. I can switch my gambling to a chest, though. I've been going after shoulders, trying to replace my worst crafted pieces first.

Anyone use a monk? Probably my own stupidity but I can't figure out how to equip two skills from the same tree. Most of the monk builds I've found have both Sweeping Wind and Dashing Strike but they're both on the same tree so...

I cannot fathom why my friends are so caught up in season play. Like, I want to play T6 and do high GRifts and try to craft some Hellfire amulets. They think it's sweet to level characters they already have to 70 again and cap out at GRift 11 or whatever.

Hopefully S1 ends sooner than later and they realize it's all the same the next time round lol.

Eh I'm playing in a different clan now and our season guys are pretty nuts. One guy cleared a 37 grift with his wizard which is what I've cleared in non seasons.

I'm getting an Xbox one though tonight so I won't be on nearly as much except for updates.

I haven't been on in awhile. They pretty much nerfed all of the styles I enjoyed playing (WW barb, CM wiz, and WD was fresh for awhile, but still isn't as fun) and I have no interest in grinding much anymore for something I don't enjoy. =(

I keep checking for updates, hoping something will renew my fun, but I doubt it. Blizzard seems to be content doing what I particularly dislike: every time a build rises to the top, rather than buffing less effective classes, they rather nerf the entire class into oblivion.

yeah ww barb and cm wiz was fun, those 2 were highlights of old builds. Firebird's fine though, I rather enjoy the kiting game. Barb's just not worth playing now though, charging playstyle is boring and relies on CC and lucky conduits to clear high level GRs.

I took a break for about eight days, vacation, and checked my WD rank. I had cleared a 37 with him, hit #200 and am now down to #322. It would have been much better time wise, 14:51, but I hit a Jailer mob and had three run backs of about 45 seconds each.

I played my DH yesterday and today and I got:

Witching Hour
An Upgraded Rucksack
An Upgraded Vaxo
Upgraded Marauder Shoulders

I found some REALLY nice Marauder's Leggings but they spawned with a single resist (489 dex / 500 vit) so I rolled the damage mod into 14% elemental arrow. I am going to try to make a lightning build as it is totally awesome. I need a nice Meticulous Bolts quiver. Four tries and all garbage.

Some grinding yesterday got me a boon of the hoarder and a maximus. I'm trying to roll a socket into it, and that's starting to prove expensive.

Got a few other legendaries to drop to replenish my soul supply. Still no extra firebird pieces. That's going to take a while.

Those gifts aren't exactly falling from the sky, and probably far less for T1.

I need the DPS now, not when the RNG deems it okay. I'll just roll it back to something else if I ever get a gift. Wasteful, yes. But that's kind of the whole point, isn't it?

I started playing Diablo 3 at the beginning of the year and only played solo and beat the game. Then a month or two ago i got the RoS expansion and again played by myself and beat the expansion.

Now I play only multiplayer and learned what the rifts are. I just my my first greater rift key two nights ago and look forward to entering a grift. I also just started doing Torment 1 difficulty.

Is it worth it to build an infernal machine once i get all the parts?

also if an enemy deals lightening damage does that automatically mean they have a high resistance to my lightening damage?
