I feel WW has better damage output than frenzy and I can continue to FC during it. It helps I am using the gem that makes crits do a dot along with the FC dot.

Do you use the life on hit ww? Also, should I use revenge or ignore pain maybe for close quarters survival. I should look at guides in the forum.

Anyone in the clan going to run HC for S2?

I'm seriously considering it. HC monk, ought to be dangerous.

Me and my son are going to do some season 2 but not hardcore.

With all the lag and rubberbanding that I've experienced lately I wouldn't take a chance at hardcore.

I'm tempted to run some S2 hardcore, but merely to get hardcore related achievements. Strongly agree tho, PClark99, poor server performance makes me not want to bother.

Anyone else have their Season 1 char converted to non seasonal but with way more paragon points? I had a crusader < 200 paragon and when it was changed it became the same as my monk at 365. Not only that but i suddenly had 5 points in each paragon field to assign for my (never seasonal) monk. Crazy!

But now i have a crusader that should be T6 worthy yet needs more sets and gear before i can be effective.

Didn't read about how the end of the season would work, I take it.

Season paragon was merged into non-season.

Ha, i only read this before hand:

For example, if your Seasonal heroes reached Paragon 300, but your current non-Seasonal heroes are already Paragon 400, your new non-Seasonal Paragon level will still be less than Paragon 700 since higher Paragon levels take more experience to earn.

So why would my crusader almost double paragon points? Are seasonal levels requiring that much less experience?

I'll probably do a seasonal again for the armot set and stuff, but no way for a HC, that would be non-seasonal only.

MERGED

Your season toon is a non-season toon now. Paragon was MERGED. As in combined. As in all non-season toons have your combined non-season and season paragon xp.

non-season paragon xp + season paragon xp = current non-season paragon xp

MERGED

So i only have 2 chars so far, but if I create a new one i don't automatically get the paragon from my existing chars right?

I don't understand why they are merging it instead of moving a level 211 seasonal char to a 211 non seasonal char. What am I missing?

Paragon is accountwide (except for HC and season of course), not character specific. It all just got dumped together.

I think WD is more fun than wiz right now. Decent amount of options for jade, and a couple good pet builds.

Wiz is firebird + magefist/cindercoat + Furnace/Maximus = Still sucks

But that's not my personal experience. I hear that the infinite DOT is just too slow at higher level grifts against anything that isn't trash. If I get one more piece of firebird, I could try it for myself. I can't remember off-hand what a basic firebird build is capable of.

Haven't put in much time into the WD/wizz/cruz.

I have a pretty decent DH and a good T6 melting Barb.

I've got a grift ~30 pet doctor. Pets getting one-shot at higher rifts becomes an issue, and then it gets crazy for gear, as SMK + Tiki becomes the build of choice. I think that transition doesn't occur until mid 30's or so.

Haven't focused too much on crusader or wizard to have definitive opinions. My crusader got into T4 pretty quick, though. But that was barb hand-me-downs and other things that wouldn't be applicable to seasons.

My wiz is still ~T1, could probably run higher, but they're so squishy due to lack of killing power, and that's with 700K paper damage. If I cared some more, I could probably get my wiz into T6 without too much work. I only need one more piece of firebird's. I already have a maximus, although it kind of sucks.

My monk just jumped right into T6, and that's a lot of luck, I guess. Got an incense torch and decent cindercoat that just let me melt stuff.

I'm going to run monk again for the gungdo. Of the season exclusive legendaries, it interests me the most. I could be tempted to do a DH for that bow, but then the chakram quiver becomes required, I would think.

I like the idea behind the crusader belt, but I don't want to level another (it would be my fourth) crusader.

I wrote a lot. I'm a little bored.

Season 2 starts tomorrow night (9 PM ET), anyone getting a group together? I will be on right at 9 and probably play until 2ish, if it wasn't valentines day the next day I could go longer but the GF would kill me.

Anyway I've been a Wizard main since the beginning of time so I will be doing that again, might have one more friend who is going to play.

So I found an ancient Schaefer's Hammer (~4,400 total DPS on it) and tossed a spare gift on it to give my barb. Reconfigured skills so that furious charge uses lightning damage and popped on spare Strongarm Bracers with lightning damage. Everything looked ready-to-roll so I ran headlong into a rift.

It was the hardest thing ever...died over and over...elites blinked at me from across the screen and I would did...I'm thinking, "WTF...I was wrecking things with the physical build prior and had slightly less overall Phys % multiplier." Agonized through the rift, killed the rift guardian (took for-EVER), picked up the sad excuse for loot and closed the rift as I had no intention of trying to clear it to the end as the run was just that bad.

Went to my stash to put the mats away and noticed something...I wasn't wearing any rings or amulet as I had them in my stash to level the legendary gems that were in them.

Yeah, I was that guy...*facepalm*...

Once everything was back on him and was running with 60% lightning damage, 20% furious charge damage and survivability, it was cake. I was at around 1.6m to 1.8m on elemental when running physical only...up to 2.8m running with the Schaefer's and significantly more lightning elemental %. He's still a bit too squishy for my taste right now...having to use an ammy from the cache is hurting him as I have no full resist (arcane, fire, etc) and his lph/lpfs/lps/regen is too low. Hopefully, I can alleviate some of those defensive issues with drops where I can get better resists or other adders on gear where I am lacking.

Crusader is coming along nicely though...I'm hitting for 35m - 40m each cast on ponies build and upwards of 40m each condemn cast on that build. Right at 25m toughness on each that spikes to 35+ with Akarat's on and I can have full-time on both builds. Ponies is much more survivable in higher rifts as I can stay out of the hard-hitting melee/area effect elemental damage mobs. With condemn, I have to stay a bit close to get the wrath generating hits in when needed as well as let the condemn hit. Holy smite legendary gem is hitting for around 110m and up every 5 seconds and that's helping single target damage immensely.

Ugh. I've never had the pleasure of running in missing gear, but certainly gone in with the wrong gear and skills assigned. With certain builds, that can be just as bad. My max CDR lightning build has to have 74% CDR when I run Epiphany: Insight (the one for 45 spirit regen instead of 20; as opposed to the all-too-common Desert Shroud that reduces damage by 50%). I rely on Serenity on this build and even if my CDR is 72% it won't work to maintain Serenity's uptime (it's not 100%, but there's about a 0.2 second window with Gogok at 15 stacks).

I change specs so often it's bound to happen, lol. No matter how carefully I look over everything, I always miss something and find out later when I'm dying or the numbers don't add up. >.<

Anyone have experience with speed levelling in seasons (as a low level character, I mean).

I started my first season character on Saturday and am on Act 5, level 30 something (normal). I blow away bosses with a few clicks.

I might level a lot faster on harder difficulties - should I be asking people in my clan to open waypoints or something for me? There are already level 70s with quite a few paragon points, by the way - was surprised to see that, but am sure I'm doing something wrong (which is simply playing through the campaign as my first run).

I want to level asap, get into torment, and play around with the new Wizard set - see if it is a worthwhile competitor to the firebird build everyone is running.

Leveling in Hard difficulty is the most efficient; you can still kill most things very quickly, and you get the XP boost. Going above Hard difficulty increases the time to kill rather exponentially, so only do it if you are outfitted pretty well.

Those who are already level 70 either took advantage of an exploit that allowed them to hit in about 4 hours, have played A LOT since the season started, or have used on of the previous two types of players to level ALTS. I've been playing casually, probably ~3 hours, since the season started and I'm level 35.

If your goal is to just hit 70 ASAP, join a powerleveling community.

Also, have you beaten the game before, non-season? If so, you should be doing adventures/bounties, and not story mode. It's MUCH faster.

That new set isn't in the season.

Wizard has an exclusive ring.

Season's gone on long enough that the XP exploit is probably not an issue in the clan. I know I helped get a few people up to level 30 in about an hour just by them starting a T3 game and me at level 45 or so, clearing that.

It's mostly just time put in, playing in groups, and running bounties.

I've beaten the game before (non-season), my main is a 320 paragon wizard.

It's my first time doing a season, and I thought to unlock adventure mode I needed to beat the game (all five acts), and just assumed I needed to be level 70 to do the bounties. But if I can start earlier, all the better. I'll check again when I get back online a bit later, and hope I can find a powerlevelling community on EU servers rather easily too.

Sucks that the set isn't in the season, as that's why I started it.

So just to clarify (I'm at work), the season exp gets exported to my main character, PLUS the seasonal legendaries that I come across, and that's it, right? So if I happen to get a perfect furnace on my seasonal character, that's just something I can enjoy on the season?

Season stays in season, during the season.

When it ends, everything will move to non-season, and this does include your paragon XP points.
