I can't believe how much has changed to the game since i played it years ago. And is it just me or do the graphics and sound effects seem better?

Any Particular reason this is the case? Just curious. The ancient one I have is better than just about everything else I have gotten (by nearly 10%), but even if it wasn't, wouldn't perpetual Hate spenders, with the 500% DPS, and the non-stop hate spenders from the sentries, still make it a very important piece?

I read a little on the PTR earlier, and it appears that Krider will be very desirable after the next patch. This is assuming that the changes to the Focus/Restraint ring set stay as is. I can't elaborate more really, but you might wanna check the Blizzard PTR forums for more info:

They did make some tweaks to the engine. They optimized the game engine to run smoother, but that came at a cost of not loading monsters until you're right on top of them sometimes (LoS from door ways and such). They also removed multi-GPU support, due to the way the engine draws the screen.

By the way, you're thinking of the game in the old terms of playing through on a certain difficulty. With adventure mode, that's no longer necessary. You change the difficulty as you see fit and are no longer "playing through" it and just do bounties, rifts, and grifts as you want. Once you get into it, you'll see how it goes.

More fixing of existing gear/skills and less unnecessarily power creep? Tweaking numbers simply isn't hard compared to the art and engineering work that was put into this game.

Pretty much done with this season... Raekor and comdemn builds are meh until 2.2.0 but I'll pretty much be good to go once the patch comes out.

Playing zdps sader is ok at best. Maybe I'll look at zdps WD and DPS wizard for season 3.

Good. At least you have a starting point based on a valid concern, not just crapping on the thread about how much it sucks.

Power creep is irrelevant in Diablo/WoW games. What the 2.2 patch does is correct the woeful imbalance of the sets for each class. Rather than just having a single set that is actually useful at the high end, you can now choose a multitude of sets to play with depending on your playstyle. This is a great thing, and has been long needed.

Yes, it'll come at the cost of more players having access to GR40+ level ranges, but who cares? All Blizzard has to do is increase the cap to GR60. Besides, they always do large power boosts right before they announce/release expansions.

Playing zdps sader might be ok at best for you but I found it very handy the other day in those rifts we were running.

WW Barb all the way. Wrath of the Wastes mixed with IK here I come.

Personally, I hope they mess up every zDPS build as this is Diablo, every class should be able to do awesome DPS. They already messed with immunity builds now they need to do something with crowd control. I want them to fix the classes that lack on DPS. Some crowd control and immunity is fine, but it has gotten way out of hand.

Yeah I know that it's useful, it just doesn't have the feel while actually playing.

I'm still getting used to the difference in UI and control with the console. Anyway, quick question, is the only way of getting adventure mode open to finish the story mode once? Let's say I got powerleveled on a fresh character from 1-70 by tagging along on someone else's T6 game, that would still not open adventure mode for me if I haven't finished the campaign on at least one character, right?

RoS is a game changer man. They're putting out a great patch very shortly as well. Some are suspecting another expansion as well.

Playing some 40+ with the clan is a blast, but it's hard without support. I'm leaning tiki pet doc, but rumors are that the tiki affix will be adjusted to likely remove perma-cc.

But with hex turning everything in a radius to chickens after 2.2, that could even out.

Yeah, at the least I'll get the transmogs and other visual extras.

So I'll be in the season long enough to get a toon up to 70 and earn 400 season achievement points. But if I decide to commit to the season, I'll give support a try.

I was thinking the same. Getting beyond low-mid 40's without a dedicated support character is almost impossible.

Seasonal is a good way to level up the rest of your guys. Had a wiz, did a crusader in 1 and a WD in 2. Debating barb or dh for 3.

Are the Seasonal threshold lower than non season or did you play that much in Season 2?

Looks like i will try Barb also for season 3. Probably going to be a lot of 4 Barb groups coming...

I ran all the way up to 600 in season


Out of season I am 646 so when
The xp is combined I will be a bit over 700.

I'm ready for the patch.

Have all 5 pieces of Nat's, and just leveled a taeguk.

I think my barb is ready to try IK, although I don't know if I have enough for the 6-piece bonus.

WD is ready for the Zuni changes (although I've not seen anything compelling that it will be better. The one streamer I watched highlighting the changes never did more damage than I already can), and I recently got the last piece of Jade so I can give that a spin if I feel like it, too.

My sader doesn't have full Roland's, but I'll get to see how the 500% buff does.

EDIT: I very briefly got ranked at the beginning of Era 3. Was 693 when it dinged, 732 or so by the time I got a screengrab. Kind of cool.
