EDIT: I had a severely miscounted idea of how long the season had gone on.

However, the equivalent of a work week on a game in a week's time would likely make any season "easy."

DH has been about the easiest season soloer for 4 seasons now. Not really saying much.



Went to look at the he'll tooth dungeon for first time last night. Impossible without the amulet and to make the stupid kill in circle need to have no pets it seems. Yeah for having to farm a crappy amulet that serves no purpose other than to finish a single dungeon.

Better off just mastering Zuni or Arachyr (sp?). HT is infuriatingly difficult. Easy enough to just complete, but for mastery it's recommended to just go with another set. Apparently the spider dungeon doesn't even need any supplemental items.

Yeah, saw several sites that listed helltooth as the most difficult, somewhat lessened if you farm the required gear. Have 3 to 4 pieces of the other sets already, guess I'll just see what else drops and look at doing that.

I mastered Arachyr on the first try right after getting 6 pieces. I also had Manajuma equipped, but I don't think it should be considered necessary. I checked out a build to make sure I had the right skills, watched a quick video, and then just did it.

My HT build is now piece-complete, so the search for improved pieces begins. I apparently need to switch my cubed TnT for a cubed MoJ due to how the garg breakpoints are, find some ancients, etc. I also have to start looking into the conquests. I think The Thrill and the gems up to lvl. 65 will be my go to's for getting the tab.

All these damn blizzard games with seasons. Had to slack off in diablo and finish up some stuff there. Probably be beginning of next month till I can get back in regularly.

Started playing again this season 7 after almost about a year barely touched the game. The last time I really played it was maybe season 3, when there was no season journey (and I never really had any serious seasonal character, and spent most of my time in non-seasonal).

Seasonal Journey is great, and I went through it happily until I realized that I chose to play a Barbarian, the worst possible class this season for getting through the set dungeon with the free set. Stuck on that one thing to complete Slayer, and probably won't get through that without collecting a different set than Waste, or gearing up a different class (what's the easiest class+set to get through set dungeon, DH?).

So far based on my drops it's Raekor that I've been able to collect (missing one piece). IK I've got only two pieces, and it used to be two ancient helmets, both with good rolls, that one I sacrificed and converted to a different piece (this feature of Kanai cube is really handy to complete sets!).

Btw, when going through the set dungeon, can I use a combo set or am I not allowed to have any other piece from a different set (e.g. can I use something like IK6/R4 build with RoRG for the IK set dungeon)?

I remember I use to rot on this game but now it's sooo boring. Am I the only one who misses the AH? That was sooo fun regardless

I, for one, do not miss the AH. Nothing about AH mini-game excites me.

Eh, RNGesus is just as bad IMO.

RNG is far less of a factor now than when the AH was in play IMO - especially with the recipes Kanai's Cube offers, and if we're straight up comparing dealing with the AH or RNG, I'll take RNG every time. It's a core concept in a game we play to get drops. There's no getting around it. At least I'm actually able to play the game in the process, instead of being in the main menu playing the AH to make bank.

The AH was fantastic and I miss it terribly...
I wish Path of Exile would implement one. They at least have the item and character development systems to support it.

Nope. RNG is usually pretty bad for me, but this season is particularly bad. I mean, I'm almost PL700 and only have 3 ancients.

I'd take the AH over this shit any day.

The itemization was REALLY bad originally and the story was poor... Other than that I loved the game on release. It was challenging, and the AH gave it purpose.

So season almost over...got my pet and no desire to go any further. And looks like there will be a simple reset and things duplicated for next season. Let me hear that excitement!

I am taking a break until Season 8, I will bang through stash tab and then I am out for a while until they provide a more serious incentive to keep grinding.

I haven't played in 3-4 days and I have to say, food tastes better the air smells cleaner, the first day or two of cold turkey I had some sweats and shakes but I am over that now. ;P
