I likely (for real) won't be participating in this season.

I didn't get my stash tab in S7, and I'm too busy to try in 8.

Enjoying my limited time in HC, though. Just hit T3, ~146 paragon. If not for rampant disconnects, I would try to convince people that HC is where it's at if you want tense gameplay. It'll be interesting preparing a full level 1 set in preparation for my inevitable death.

HC is fun for a change of pace, but you always have to build and play with a safe margin allowed and that's not nearly as fun as removing that buffer and playing SC.

And, HC + connection = extremely dumb. My connection is pretty solid, but there's always going to be the inevitable mishap that's completely out of your control. That's not fun to me. That's a worry I don't want in my gaming. I have enough of that crap in real life.

I'll probably play the new season casually until I get the journey completed for the stash. I don't see much time being spent on D3 any more though. It's pretty much in the done pile.

Opinions are nice like that.

I rather like the tension that HC brings. The idea of how small can your buffer be? HC boards are not so low in comparison to SC.

And I don't fully agree that being able to throw your body at a grift is automatically more fun. SC is fun, though. It's not like that's where I've spent the vast majority of my time.

Someone who plays it a lot can also have a new toon up and TX farming in about 30 minutes or so, assuming they were fully prepared with no-level gear.

It would suck losing your best gear, but that's part of the thrill. But like I also said, there was a big IF in there.

Yeah, I've played HC for various amounts at various stages on various games. It always ends up being a thrill for a little while then you just want to kill things without restriction.

Wow, you guys are some serious players!

My brother and I would like a nice, fun and relaxed coop playthrough. We havent played in 4-5 years and were never more than casual. Any suggestion for classes for a synergistic team? We both have Reaper of Souls.

Thanks.

It's almost all gravy for two players.

Some builds are a bit better built around working as a team. I can say that Thorns and LoN Crusaders aren't the best for team play unless you both run them (can be mixed, I imagine).

I'm on the fence recommending someone build for support for anything less than a 4 player group.

Others should chime in, but I think a monk and demon hunter would be a solid, fun setup.

Same goes with me, although lately I've been doing HC and am a little behind on the latest meta.

I can still give general advice and do some pulls.

I should probably get back to SC NS to finish prepping items for the Necro. I have a weapon, Cain's set, FnR, lvl. 50 boon, and goldwrap waiting. All gear has been taken to level 1. Planning to hit 70 in about 30 minutes solo. Need to hoard DB's and souls and act mats to hopefully get a set real quick.

But I want to see if they time the launch with a season. If so, I'll just go that route to get the set quicker.

Easy way is to group up with some clan members running the same class so they can gear share and pull you through high grifts for xp and drops.

Do you have a build in mind? Before going for a grift pushing build, it may be better to target a farm build so you can get cache mats and death's breaths faster. Farm builds usually stick around TX (speed vs. reward) and can grift as high as 60 most of the time. Some are really tuned for speed in TX and subsequently don't push as high.

Grifts don't pay out worthwhile gear (as in actual number of drops) until ~35 or so. Gambling, using the cube to upgrade rares and/or convert set items is going to be the way to go. Depending on the set you're currently chasing, that grift level can be achieved with 4-piece bonuses.

Yeah I am currently playing a blessed hammer build and just finished the ACT 4 of season journey so I have the seeker of the light set and those wings (really who thought they can be classified as wings lol). If i equip the set though all my sheet numbers drop significantly so I am currently playing with the equipment I had and farming Torment 2 at the moment.

Someone would have to take a look at your gear, but you want the set. I believe that any full set, regardless of support items, should take you comfortably into T5/6.

Maybe the pieces didn't roll all that well, but they can be fixed to an extent at the mystic, and those set bonuses should trump the basic damage number. Obviously make sure you change your skills to complement and take advantage of the set bonuses.

As an example, my HC DH recently got the UE set. Wearing five pieces and the royal ring of grandeur dropped my damage nearly ~200K, but I was able to play at much higher levels due to the set bonuses and having a couple of the support items. I didn't even have a socket in my weapon for a while.

Taking a look here, that set bonus is going to make up for your damage drop for the most part. Being able to play higher levels makes getting the additional items much easier.

Yeah I looked at the build but the problem is the roll on the set items was horrible and though I know it can be fixed a bit but not sure to what extent. The damage buff I get from the set is really nice but I feel very squishy when I try to push higher torment levels with it, I am trying to get some nice rings/wrists/pants to make me sturdier now.

Unfortunately, without seeing the gear, there's not much else I can offer.

Maybe get some of the supporting items for the set. I just really don't see a full set being this worthless.

OK I have not updated this for a while now!

First of all things are going rather well with my crusader, switched to thorns build from blessed hammer build and my survivability went up ten times.I got inspired by Sir Pauly (btw is this the same sir pauly who used to post here at AT?) went up to GR65 solo but need more thorns in gear now. Blessed hammer build is nice but it really needs top tier items to augment it's poor survivability compared to thorns. I will probably try to push some conquest this weekend to get the free stash stab, we shall see

Keep in mind that season 8 ends at the end of the month, so you don't have much time left to get the stash tab.

Looking to get a new character at least high enough for the pet soon, anyone still active to get a boost from?

Absolutely, lupi! I still need to level a couple gems up for the stash tab and hope to do that sometime this week or maybe this weekend, so you're welcome to tag along for some quick GR60s. (If I'm on during the week it's usually in the mornings - afternoon ET.)
