wait what did they do with passwords? you only needed 1 for SC2 and WoW
That much I know.
1) I was discussing the physical and mobile authenticator options - which is essentially two-factor account protection.
2) They prevent the application from permanently remembering a password. Thus, I have to open up my browser, login to my password management system, dig up my battle.net account info, copy the password, then paste that into Diablo 3.
Sure, I could memorize my password - but that will be awhile considering it is not used that often, and I've enjoyed the ability to not memory any passwords save for my master password. All my passwords are very complex and often take many uses before I even have a semblance of memorizing them, and I'll forget them if I am able to return to using the password management system properly.
Oh and awesome.... diablo 3 (or battle.net) is down. Yay.
Dammit, if it wasn't an enjoyable game, I'd swear off blizzard. They are the most ass-backwards game company. Sure, this game offers great party-based multiplayer support, but since it requires online connectivity, even if I want to solo play on a predominantly single-player game, it's only possible if they have their shit together and have the systems online.
In the rare event they produce another game that actually grabs my attention, remind me to avoid it until well after the launch period. Holy shit this is the most butchered launch I think I've seen in awhile.
I should have expected this: the open beta was ugly, and with the game launching less than a month after it, I should not have expected they would have fixed all the issues that popped up during the "stress test."
Did they underestimate this game by THAT much, even with all inclinations (and marketing) suggesting otherwise?
Retards, the lot of 'em.
