I'd like to see it. There's bound to be some vids already that show it, but as I said, none of the ones I've watched do.
Heck sometimes even the wide-open D2 maps could be pretty annoying...I just like to see a little mix of the 2. I definitely wouldn't be able to take small enclosed walkways the entire game lol.
this is like the 2nd zone you get to in the beta. open area before you go into a dungeon

i just turned on fraps and ran around killing crap for 20 min, cut it down a bit, vid quality is alright but i compressed the crap out of it, its a lil choppy because i didnt feel like messing with fraps too much
at about the 2 min mark i open the Full map so you can see the whole area
playing a wizaard
None of the classes use "Mana" except the Witch Doctor. There are no Mana pots in the game at all.
Each class uses their own resource mechanic.
I think the large open spaces is what I liked least about D2. It was annoying having to run for 5 minutes to kill 2 monsters.

Just interjecting my thoughts--no arguement here lol. But it's all mana to me, or near enough (i.e. resource pool). It's just that each class fills up their pool in different ways (as you say). Kinda silly in my mind to say Witch Doctors use mana and Wizards use some other Arcane Power...but they can call em whatever they want. I'm not so obstinate as to argue they should all be called mana (or whatever), but the stories they come up with to explain what the resource pools are for each class are weak enough that I'm liable to slip and call them all MP behind the scenes.
Word. But I view it differently...it's the stupid monsters that run away all the time that are annoying, not the wide spaces. But yes, add that to the wide spaces and it sucked big time.
I finally got an e-mail from Blizzard!!!!

Yes and yes.So....I haven't seen any recent talk about D3. Is the beta still going on and is Blizz still giving out beta keys?
Blizzcon starts today, hopefully we get a word the release date
yea i was a day off on, i work too much
Yup, 60 bucks at amazon, but still not a hint on release date. The longer the wait, the more my interest fades.

ditto; I didn't expect a lot of content in beta, but I didn't expect such a minor beta with tons of press coverage so far from launch...especially considering they're still making major modifications to game design.
They try to call it something along the lines of "minor spreadsheet modifications", but it's clear they're still making huge game balance decisions--adding gear mods, trying to finalize the rune system, etc.
so they did an update and a char wipe in the beta. not sure who else has access on here
