Whenever I enter a new zone and see the title of it I think of that scene from Futurama:

Leela: Uh, Professor, are we even allowed in the Forbidden Zone?
Prof. Farnsworth: Why, of course! It's just a name, like the Death Zone or the Zone of No Return. All the zones have names like that in the Galaxy of Terror.

Seriously, every zone is like "the cellar of horror", "the fields of despair" or "the cave of doom". It's so over the top it's becoming almost a parody of itself.

hhmmm...just started playing - never played D1 or D2 - not sure how much I like it so far - clicking to move everywhere is annoying - I do like the "hold shift" not to move when firing mechanic though

seems like a dumbed-down WoW though, with a static camera

I'm about halfway through Act 3, with a lvl 26 Wizard. Figure I log out to get some food thinking everything is great since I've been playing for 4 hours now... get back and "Emergency Maintenance".... jeez.

I like the game, but I'm starting to hate the skill setup. I pretty much only use 4 spells all the time; never switching to a new spell, because I own with the setup - magic misile, Orb, Diamond Skin, and Force Wave... Force Wave is sooooo nice with the stun run.

But, I do at times want to teleport, which I can't because it would take the place of a skill I use always. And I want to use Hydra or Meteor on occasion, but I cant... starting to really suck not having 1-0 for any skill to be bound at any time.

At least in the beta I was in you could match your skills up a little better. You got to pick 4 of them from the entire pool of skills you've unlocked plus 2 for the mouse. So 6 active skills in total.

You still get 6 active skills now, but not of the same way. You get to pick one from each "category" they chose to set up for the various skills. So if you want two defensive skills instead of one then you are screwed. If you want to extra super power offensive skills you can't do that either now. You are stuck with the "layout" they chose for you.

Personally, if I hadn't bought the game I wouldn't be playing it. Going to power through it to see the whole story and be done with the game. Wishing I had waited until it hit the bargain bin like I typically do with games.

From a PR perspective I don't think this launch could have gone any worse.

The only thing I can imagine is there's some sort of massive security hole. If it's infrastructure-related that's just pathetic. It's not like Blizz doesn't have the resources to shore up a massive amount of hardware and bandwidth to accommodate the demand.

Wrong, you can have more than one active spell from a certain tree. You just need to enable it via gameplay options.

It's in the settings, once enabled it gives you complete control of your skill bar so you can put whatever you want in it.

in the gameplay options, select "Elective Mode" you can now put any skill in any slot. Enjoy.
