Having a blast playing with my gf. Finally a game we both can enjoy. Yesterday's bullshit was a bit frustrating. We drove 2 hours to go pick up a box copy for her after she saw me playing. Got back to the house and the servers were down
*party members skipping cutcenes/etc (if anyone in party skips, it skips it for all--would like to see them all on the first go)
You really couldnt just buy it online?
A couple of my friends are the exact same way. They always talk about what would happen if the company went out of business, as if that's a relevant concern anymore, especially with Blizzard...
So they exclusively buy physical copies of things.
1 reason I would not play through the game for the first time with a party. Half of the essence of Blizzard games are the cut scenes. I can't imagine people skipping them on the first play through.

Say...does the level of your blacksmith/jeweler carry over to every character on your account, or do you level them for every character? Just curious.
I was able to reach Lv26 last night with my wizard, about 1/2 through Act 3, and the game exceeded my expectations overall. It's been really fun on the 1st run through. The server downtime has gotten my memory of total playtime fuzzy, but it was somewhere around 8+ hours. The only things detracting from the experience were:
*party members skipping cutcenes/etc (if anyone in party skips, it skips it for all--would like to see them all on the first go)
---will just watch them as I play through with my brother when his game arrives today/tomorrow
*crappy locked skill-set on toolbar
---didn't know yesterday that you could fix it in options; god this will make the game so much better!
*was having trouble keeping the blacksmith leveled up enough to actually HELP me since I was buying lots of stash space also
---won't have to buy that stash space again, so at least I won't have that problem more than once

Of course it's just a video game. What else would it be, and who said it was anything else? That doesn't excuse it's inability to work for so many people after purchase - get it? It doesn't need to be some "grand race in life that you need to compete to prove something", it just needs to work.
Except for the fact that if this company went out of business.. the game wouldn't work even if you had a disk.. ( even in single player mode since there isnt one)
so download from Blizzard FTW..

Took me forever to get it downloaded and installed last night, so have not actually played a minute yet, but hoping to pop on tonight and try things out. I'm only on the trial thing right now (thanks Imp! :awe: ) but I'm KeithTalent#1995 if people
Never played anything Diablo at all, so I'll be pretty noobtastic I imagine.

The RMAH wont be live for about a week. The GAH should be up, haven't checked myself though. I will when I get home.Is the auction house down for anyone else? I got some legendary bracers I want to sell!

I had no idea until today that a wizard should upgrade his beginning wand to a dagger or other weapon. I had just kept the wand because that seems logical for a wizard but obviously a regular sword will increase your spells, which is really odd.
Now I know I guess...
