man. i need some more free time so i can get my gold stocks up and twink out some new characters with AH goods. i feel like things will change on the AH soon.

So I just finished nightmare... and I noticed most bosses don't bother dropping yellows anymore. What happened? Every single boss I killed in normal dropped some sort of yellow (crappy ones but they were yellow). Now the only yellows I see are from random drops or elites. Did they change something?

Apparently Blizz doesn't want people grinding bosses for items so after Normal they just have horrible drops.

For anyone in the 50-60 level range... what runs have you been doing for exp? I've been reading a bit about it and it seems like Azmodon (I'm not sure which act this is..), The Road to Alcarnus - Lt. Vachem (Act 2), and Quest 1 of Act 4 are pretty popular. I'm gonna give them all a run tonight and see what happens. Has anyone tried any of these?
Or run anything other than these?

Azmodan used to be the big one because you could get a party of 4 and by joining/quitting games you could get the quest complete bonus something like 14 times. Blizz nerfed it and now it gives almost nothing.

I've not really been "grinding" for levels but the first boss of A4 is both easy and gives good XP. Hit hard enough and he'll fall in under two minutes. That'd be my first try.

Best inferno farming spots? I have been grinding out act 1 treasure goblin runs and done some act 4 ghost runs and haven't gotten much. Maybe 3 850+ dps weapons. Any other spots? I have tried hitting an act 1 resplendent chest as well.

no idea in infermo mode since im still in nightmare but in ACT4 in the "look for hell rifts" quests everytime i played it there are some entrances in the lower part that take you too small rooms with big chests

it was a bad design decision by Blizzard imo

they should have allowed bosses to have high drop rate tables for the first character kill and any follow up kills require Nephalem buff for higher chance loot drops

I haven't had to do any grinding so far, except when I beat NM at lvl 49 and had to get to lvl 50 before starting Hell. Now getting towards the end of Act 2 Hell at lvl 56.

I haven't done any either... I was just reading about it. I'm about midway through A3 with a 57 Wiz. When I'm at work and have some time to burn, I've been reading about a bunch of random crap. The most useful thing I read today was changing your "move" button to the middle mouse wheel to prevent yourself from running into swarms of shit when you don't have enough arcane power (assuming your primary attack is the left mouse button). Brilliant!

i didnt know that....it is indeed a good suggestion, although while its not suicide to go melee range with my wizard, it is fun to whack em with my staff once or twice

I am sure that they are aware that this is happening. And probably anticipated that a certain number of instances like this were inevitable. But they obviously don't see this as a game breaker for most consumers.

Just goes to show that if the pool is wide enough and deep enough, you can risk pissing in it and not offending enough people to get kicked out. Or something like that.

I'm about halfway through Act I in Hell difficulty. I'm already having to kite most elite packs. Guess it's time to farm for gold and buy new gear.

Whenever I hit this kind of a wall I bought a new weapon or changed my spec around a bit.

Have a feeling im gonna need some help later on, Butcher took me a bit to get past, but the bosses since haven't been so bad.. I believe I just killed the witch before I logged last night.

55 now though, maybe 60 with the Inferno AH gear will help..

I am sure that they are aware that this is happening. And probably anticipated that a certain number of instances like this were inevitable. But they obviously don't see this as a game breaker for most consumers.

I think they've really cashed in a lot of their "good faith" stock they've spent so many years building up. It was one thing on launch day when a login frenzy was obviously going to occur. I can't imagine their servers are getting pounded in the same way two weeks later.

That is how it works; at least the second part.

I run A1 Inferno Skele King and the Tombs, mainly because so many bottles/barrels/items to destroy along with elites (for gold); and if the Skele King doesn't drop 3 rares with a 5 Neph buff, then it is rare.

While progressing however, no rares off bosses for some reason.

my monk is in A2 on Hell and my wizard will be on act 1 soon. act one wasent so bad when i did it the other day with my brother. butcher was many many times easier then some elite packs

ill gladly jump back and do act 1 again to help people and get get more gear/exp
