You sure? I've only seen one flawless star socketed into an item in the AH and it was for an expensive item. Most times the value of the gem is baked in. But now and again, you have a few people who didn't realize they're putting up an item with a gem worth 600k but selling for 200k because that's what the item with those stats are worth.

Yea it's a good idea, unfortunately it's difficult to search for it in anything other than helm or weapon since they turn into just "flat stats".

In regards to account hacking, it would be interesting to know which operating systems are being run. That would give a much better idea of whether it was malware, phishing, etc vs server side exploit.

I'm not positive but the only alternative would have been I found it. Do they even drop? And I'm only in act 2 inferno.

It would have been a quick buyout right when listed, and I definitely wasn't looking for it. I didn't even know the gems were so valuable. Pretty sure I still have it in my stash. I hope so

Highest gem that drops is a "Flawless Square" so anything higher than that you'd have to craft or pull out of an item.

Yes and we want to know where this treasure goblin run is in Act 2. The Act 1 run I've been doing hasn't yielded me much in terms of good items, and the resplendent chests always drop trash for me.

I posted one a few pages back. I farmed it last night for 10 minutes and made 150k from the AH selling yellows.

I saw 6 goblins in 8 runs.

I realized that I needed +vitality stuff on all my gear back in Act 2 of NM. I prefer +strength, so usually try to get both on items, and forgo more armor for better stats.

I'm in Act 3 NM now and finally have a reasonably well built barb at level 49. Carrying a shield with strength bonus, but may swap to vitality. However, 100+ dps weapons finally started dropping, so I've been using those unless I'm getting killed over and over again - then I go back to shield and ~70 dps sword.

Crit chance/damage bonuses didn't appeal to me initially since I thought that a random skill was less important than a solid base damage. Well, I was wrong. I'm using the +crit chance and damage perk, and am looking for a mace weapon to bump crit chance even higher with the other perk.

Try and get a higher level weapon with level reduction in stats. I was able to get a 600 dps bow at 50 because it had 10 level reduction. You certainly don't need the high weapon, but it certainly makes the progression so much quicker.

what's the stats bonus on the gem, +50?

raid sq = 42
star = 46

Its included. I.e. lvl 50 with 10 lvl reduction is really a lvl 60 item.

Melee is useless in Inferno. 10k dps is not even enough to take down monster packs in A1 it'll take you forever.

You should stack Vit beef up defense and setup skills to dodge/heal etc.. and tanking with a high dps dh.

I made several million last night doing the A2 Goblin over and over. FYI to the person above, I got the flawless star amethyst and it wasn't selling for 2m+

Tell me how you do it. I am getting sick of doing random elites and getting pos items.

played about half of act 1 with a new char. was rather fun playing with soeone that has a bag full of upgrades every couple of levels. was one shotting all normals and when grouped would take several with a single shots, 2 shots for elites and even came across a goblin that only needed 4-5 to put down. a shame the game doesn't stay that way the entire time

yes and no, I switched to 2H and am now farming halls > warden > butcher easily. a2 is a different animal though. the nice thing is 2H weapons are cheap as hell and easy to shop for. i make anywhere from 50-100k per run so just a matter of time till i can buy those million gold items.

but I wont lie, many times i came close to giving up on my baba.

The issue seems to be quite rampant. Luckily I didn't have all that much invested into the game yet.

Anyways I will be getting a refund. If Blizzard can't invest the effort to secure their accounts they don't deserve a penny of my money.

I can't possibly describe how true that is. Any Barbarian players who made it to Inferno would have no other choices but to nod at this statement. I was tired to see my 250+ res, 30.5K base dps 5.5k armor Barb getting one shot by SAND WASPS...

So I went with my Demon Hunter instead.

Really, Blizzard need to do "something" for Barbs, poor guys. I'm in that bunch dammit! I feel forced (I'm not, but I feel that way) to roll another class, and I should not "have to", that's the basic problem. I understand that Inferno is done that way on purpose but it reaches idiocy levels beyond those of the so called "challenges" that were supposedly intended originally in that difficulty. Seriously, it's not just "very difficult", it's literally stupid.

Yeah that's the first Act, it's "do-able", certainly, very challenging at times, but can be done. Now, get to Act II and come back to tell us how you feel about it.

So far it hasn't proven to be Blizzard's fault. Did you have a mobile or physical authenticator?

Not to start the argument again, but I think its pretty obvious its not hundreds of people losing their accounts to the exact same undetectable keyloggers or phising schemes.... Its some type of exploit through game code. Yes it hasnt been "proven" to be Blizzards fault but it hasnt been proven not to be either. Visit the tech support forum on battlenet forums every day and count the new posts related to people losing their accounts that day, something is odd.

Well I think it's pretty obvious that most of these accounts were already hacked and the hackers were just sitting on them until Diablo 3 was released so that they can hack the games.
