Confirms / 1.0.3 Additional Information:

• 'Shielding' affix is being nerfed: Monster's with this will cast the shield less often.

• 'Invulnerable Minions' affix is being changed: Vulnerable Champion will now have less life and be easier to kill.

• Mobs that flee will do so less often, including blue/yellow packs of fleeing Monsters.

• Confirmed: Blacksmithing costs too will be reduced in 1.0.3.

• Auctions may now be canceled at any time.

• Componets of the Staff of Herding will stand out much more in the player's inventory.

• Players have discovered every zone in the game (aka there's no unfound hidden level).

• Confirmed: Holy, Fire, Cold, etc are purely aesthetic, with the exception of Cold, which does slow mobs but has reduced damage.

• Confirmed: Whimsyshire drops ACT III/IV loot even after the 1.0.3 changes.

Coming in a future patch:

• Custom chat channels.

• Leaving a chat channel saves between joining and leaving game sessions.

• Class changes and diversity (Trying for buffing underused skills/runes rather than nerfing good ones).

• First time boss kills on difficulties higher then Normal will guarantee "first time loot".

• 'Lock Action Bar' toggle is being added.

• Gems, Health Potions and and Pages/Tomes may be changing in color to help them stand out.

• Ability to Turn off the nameplates for white/grey items on the ground for high level characters.

• +Health to healthglobe items to increase health received from Potions.

• Ability to see DPS/health changes much like in-game, also in the AH window.

• There may be dueling implemented at some point.

• Invisible mode for battle.net status.

• Auto-Skip switch for in-game cutscenes.

• More "on hit" procs, specifically on legendaries to make them feel more, Legendary, with a higher proc %.

• Adding gems to blacksmithing to "force" a stat on crafted gear.

Some of these changes I don't mind, however, I am still against the nerf of Inferno. It shouldn't be beatable 3 weeks after the game has released unless someone got some super lucky drops and actually got extremely great gear.

Well the thing with inferno is that some of the mobs are impossible to beat unless you're Jesus or Oprah.

AH AH AH AH AH!

Got quite lucky last night and found a 900 dmg 1h wiz wand for 190k. The 2nd half of act 2 inferno is still too damn hard so idk what else to do now. Quit I guess

From what I've read on altctrldel, ACT 3 is easier and you can move on there and come back or just wait for the next patch.

I would really like to see gear sets added to the game. I like to take an elite pack down to 10% with my regular gear then switch to my 200+% mf gear for the kill...which could be eased by such a change.

I hear from my wizard/DH friends that Act 3 is easier for them, but as a melee (barb) I can handle most anything A2 throws at me [now, that is. it kicked my ass at first.] while A3 is extremely difficult; when doing the quests I had to skip almost every single rare/elite mob. Though my gear has since gotten slightly better and I've adjusted my build, but I still have no chance of actually farming there.

I put an item up on the AH a day or so ago. The item price in my auction list is stuck at 600k or so, yet when I search for it on the AH, its much higher. Anyone know why?

You cant see your own auctions, likely you are seeing someone with the same item asking for more.

So I can see a rare item, with the exact same stats and same name (and its the only one on the AH), but its not mine?

Also ends the same time as mine...

You cant see your own auctions, likely you are seeing someone with the same item asking for more.

You can see your own auction. I tried to buy my own item once.. lol

You havent played a wizard in inferno yet have you?

I was under the assumption wizards beat Inferno using an "exploit". Even so, sure, some people can beat it, but not everyone should be able to do it so fast. Same with principle with WoW and the heroic fights. You shouldn't be able to clear Lich King and then clear Heroic Lich King the next week just because you could clear the normal version. There didn't need to be a nerf yet.

BTW, we need one more change. items with -x level requirement should show up in the AH search list when searching in the lower level range.

Example, I have a level 60 xbow with 638 DPS rare + -2. level 58 DH's can use and buy this, but they don't see it unless they specifically search for a level 60 item. 638 dps is very high for level 58. It's the highest I can find for under 1 mill at that level. I'm trying to sell it for 500k, but no bids. Anyhow, even if I list this at 40k, no one is going to buy it b/c peeps at level 60 want much higher dps.

They need more search features in general. There are some stats that are completely non-searchable.

So, if any of you guys are hunting good gear at under 60 right now. Look for level 60 weapons with reduced level requirements. I bet you'll find some really good steals.. like my xbow. I'll probably re-list at much under 100k this time.

No way, if it's instant, as in, you just push a button and you're switched instantly, then this is just another mechanism I have to deal with that is annoying. This game is already kiddish enough, and instant changing of equipment makes it worse.

If the equipment change is time-delayed, I don't want to have everybody in game yelling, "wait! I gotta change my gear!" just before the end of every battle. Screw that.

I wouldn't consider this a nerf in the same way as a zone wide nerf. The mechanics were tweaked a little most likely because everyone was getting their asses kicked haha.

Sometimes the mechanics of a monster are just too unforgiving. Now if they were to say "-All Monster's in Inferno have 5% less HP and do 5% less DMG" on top of the current changes, then I'd agree with you.

I don't think changing a few specific mechanics will make Inferno suddenly easier to clear for more people, but will probably give more people a chance to advance further into it.
