I prefer venom hydra - the monsters that stand in the pools take damage over time as well as the initial hit, and the pools can stack a few times.

I don't have venom hydra yet! I will try it out once I get it. Right now everything is dying instantly because its normal, but I'm sure once I get to hell I can probably make use of that.

I start at the kill ZK quest and clear out all of the Terminus. I then kill Belial and whatever else I want to kill. That area goes fast.

The only thing I wear that I found are my bracers.

I need a new amulet and boots. I had some higher strength boots but I wanted life regen somewhere. I paid 999,999 gold for my boots last night. I bought the Amulet for like 3 million a while back and upgrading it is realy going to cost me.

What class are you running? I did buy a decent weapon a while back before prices shot up, but I still feel like my WD isn't very quick at killing anything.

try a vision quest / acid cloud build with at least 22 mana regen from gear and blood ritual. stack life on hit and spam acid cloud = 5k life on hit per tick of acid cloud. then you can do stuff like spam zombie bears nonstop

its not really that fun as a solo build as you will spend half your time just spamming acid cloud to stay alive, but if you party with a barbarian or monk... you are basically just spamming bears and only casting acid cloud when you get hit.

i stacked physical resist and all resist w/ about 1.3k life on hit. with war cry i have 1500 physical resist, 950 all resist, 3k armor... the only stuff that kills me in act2 are blazing guardians

Act 1 is a great place - you can rampage through it and stack magic find. I get like 10-15 ilvl63 items an hour with ~300% MF after NV buff.

I do Forsaken Cementary->Festering Woods->Northern Highlands (Watch Tower Only)->Leoric Manor->HoP1-3->Warden->Butcher. I stack MF and max out the run speed with my Monk running straight for elites/champs. A run will take about 20 minutes. I'll get 30-40 rares and only id ilvl60+ armor/other, ilvl62+ weapons, all ammys/rings.

I think that's probably a gross underestimate but I like your dungeon order, will have to give it a try!

If you pick up every thing and fight white enemies it will take much longer. What I do is simply run straight for elites kill them and only pick up rares/items that I know are worth picking up (like "Rune Sword" which is iLvl63). Straight speed run.

I then keep the items I know will sell on the AH. I move tons of volume of items there with good pricing which has allowed me to generate tons of income efficiently.

Don't ya get a big herd of monsters chasing after ya though or do you have enough movement speed to leave em in the dust? Sounds like a good plan.

I sell all my gold through AH pretty easily. Ive sold pretty much all of it now and received $18 per 10 mill each time(after fees).

Not trolling, is this game worth playing yet?

I played about 100 hours before I lost interest. Haven't logged in for about two weeks now. I consider 100 hours of entertainment worth the $65 it cost me. However, if you go in looking for a game as solid as Diablo I or Diablo II, you will be disappointed.

I won't buy any expansions when they are released. Instead, I'll wait and see how the reviews go. Unless, of course, Blizzard makes some major patching updates to this game between now and the expansions, and those changes make it much better. I doubt that will happen, though. Activision is running things now, and they are not at all like the old Blizzard North.

Probably depends who you ask. I think it's worthless. Nothings changed. It's not even Diablo, it's Diablo as interpreted by WoW developers. I think that is the main unrepairable problem with the game.

I have a few friends who are holding out thinking a patch will fix it. The game is broken, it would need a re-write imo. But who knows.

This gives some good insight on why Diablo 3 is so broken: http://www.gamefront.com/why-im-afraid-to-review-diablo-3/

...

So who’s left? In short, practically no one. I haven’t even touched upon people with roles less tied to the series’ overall direction and execution who are now gone, such as Steven Woo, Jeff Strain, Andrea Pessino, William Petras, Alan Ackerman, Ted Bisson, Kelly Johnson, Fredrick Vaught, Doron Gartner, Ben Haas, Kevin Beardslee… the list goes on.

What does this mean?

Diablo 3 was not developed by the same people who developed the original Diablo series.

Throughout its development, critics have pointed out similarities between Diablo 3′s and World of Warcraft’s art style and mechanics. Should this have been a surprise? The game was essentially made by World of Warcraft developers.

Need barb advice...

I moved some items over from my monk(sword, ammy, gloves, & rings) that might save me from having to spend more than I'd like but I don't know what to get for the rest of the empty slots. Helm was given to me. Shoulders I bought on the cheap but didn't like so I sold it for a bit of profit.

Know I def need an axe/mace with loh and socket on mainhand. Wanna try out double tornado build. Think I might have to move rings back and buy new ones with str.

Yeah, I was hoping they would quickly patch it up. I'm guessing that the Witch Doctor pets are still useless in inferno? If that's the case... then why? Why even bother with including them in the skill set? That problem was glaringly obvious. Give a warrior a sword then make his sword useless... fun stuff.

I'm probably just beating a dead horse.

Gargantuan and fetish army are good on inferno as a means of distraction, I personally use fetish army.

yeah i was hoping for a quick fix to the WD summons, but they took so long that i already lost interest in keep playing the WD.

did 7 or 8 more recipe helms...
found this one:
220 intelligence
105 vitality
+ armor
life regen
11% locust swarm damage (WD)
Socket

Should sell kinda well...

and another one

80 dext
80 vit
80 str
40 resist to something (cant remember what)
59 resist to all
11% thunder fist or something like that (monk ability)

ill try to sell each of them for at least 500k...

I think it's been worth playing, but I also don't subscribe to the Diablo 2 worship, it itself was just an amusing timesink with it's own share of flaws.

D3, to me, improves on the worst part of D2: the drab clickfest gameplay and the teleport -> kill boss -> new game -> teleport -> kill boss -> new game "endgame". It still has the fun-to-a-point loot lottery and farmfest but you can at least vary your runs somewhat, and for all the flak it gets I personally really liked the randomized elites and champions, they helped keep things interesting for me and the 'drama' of finding something difficult or the 'relief' at finding an easy one kept me engaged.

I also don't have a problem with the AH, it's just a game within a game to me and imo necessitated by how arbitrary and obnoxious trying to trade in D2 was. I'd much rather have it than not.

The game is fun to play but I don't think its worth $60. Items are boring as hell and the constant nerfing and forcing you into a single way of how you should farm is reminiscent of WOW, and I quit wow because of the flavor of the month nerfs.

honestly; I don't think a 1.4 patch is coming. They're done patching the game, and this is the product as it will be until an expansion comes. If it wasn't worth playing to you before, it's not going to be. :\
