Great googlie mooglie. I know we're certainly in different leagues, but I was pretty proud of my paltry getup where I can easily survive and do ~30k buffed [active] DPS in A3/4 Inferno. I think I've spent around 12mil alltogether on my stuff?

I just setup a MF suit with decent stats for like, 400k. I plan on testing it out in Inferno, but I'm only at 217MF with NV stacks. I was running my brother through Hell and powerleveling him (which works quite well if you use Cain's exp suit with a gem in the helm and primarily run A3.3). It was a nice reprieve plowing through easy monsters with MF on and actually getting 2 legendaries (albeit low level, but that puts me at a total of 4 found so far with 180 hours played).

I think when you first bind your paypal account to your battle.net account it pre-empts all that. Since the RMAH requires an authenticator I think they consider it secure 'enough' at least; I'm not sure about the funding source though, might simply use default Paypal setting.

If my account ever gets hacked (and it seems very possible since Blizzard was hacked) hackers could just spend endlessly on the RMAH and it would come right out of paypal without any need to authorize anything. They should at least ask you to login to your paypal account before making a purchase.

I play a WW Barb and my Bash crits are up to 240k. With the 3% passive you get 0.6% which is still a good chunk when you crit.

My DPS is up to 75k unbuffed now, I bought an IK Armor and Boots. I got a great armor for the price but the boots were cheapest I could find since the chest was around the price I wanted to pay.

My OH is low damage but it gives me exactly what I need, LoH, Crit damage and a Socket. My only good find this patch so far.

I can give you a quick rundown on my gear costs from quick guesses:

Helm - 5 million
Shoulders - 60 million
Chest - 120 million
Amulet - 52.5 million
Belt - 22 million (a bunch of life for me, hard to replace right now)
Gloves - 3 million (just under this actually)
Bracers - 3 million (total steal)
Left Ring - $10 (I couldn't pass this up)
Right ring - 20 million
Pants - 10 million (guessing as I forgot, but this will be the next thing I look at upgrading)
Boots - 43 million
MH - 73.5 million
OH - Found

My Barb cost me around 412 million gold outside of gems and $10 from the RMAH. All prices are not current. They have been bought over time.

I am up to paragon level 38.

damn, how did you get that much gold? I'm paragon lvl 50 now and have made slightly over 100m having found 28 legendaries since patch. I think I've made about 300m in total since launch.

I don't have any Life Steal, im still looking for that offhand that would give me LOH/LS/Crit Dmg still no luck though. But i am willing to drop LoH for Lifesteal/Crit Damage if the stats are right. I'm thinking the 260k crits i see from bash would heal me a ton more than LoH

LS makes a lot more sense than LoH given your DPS. I'm not sure which abilities count as direct hits and would actually steal life, but on paper it seems more ideal anyways.

If your offhand isn't all that special, I'd just find a decent 900+ DPS weapon with LS on it and test it out to see. ^^

He'd lose a ton of damage with the loss of crit/crit damage on the OH, making the LS less valuable in the first place.

You have to straight up replace LoH with LS.

Yup. I'm sort of in the same place when I'm looking for upgrades. Sad thing is I just don't have sufficient funds to truly upgrade without simply going sideways. :/

Playing the AH a lot. Buying low and selling high. With the new sorting by time it is even easier to make money.

Little things like buying a pair of Fire Walkers for 500k then selling them for 1.5 million shortly after. All that adds up.

Found an amulet once for 5 million, flipped it for 25 million.

The RMAH can be used to increase your gold quickly. I saw a guy on the forums that said he bought a weapon for $250 and sold it for 400+ million gold when the cost was around $5/million gold.

For a monk is dual wielding better than using a shield? I am currently at like 1200 LoH, 2.8 Life Steal, around 860 AH (I'd lose around 100 without a shield). My DPS is only around 14k. =(

These are good gears. I'm lucky enough that i found some of the major pieces of my gear, you can view my profile for comparison (j3poy#6952) but you won't be seeing much since some of the items equipped are MF gears.

Immortal King Boots are 43M? I might look at selling mine in the future since it's a drop. Good job nontheless, i just think the amount of LoH that you have is overkill. I also envy those gems, don't have gold to upgrade mine

The IK Chest was bought for a steal and the random stat i got matters so im pretty happy with it got it at 80m. I know this piece is pretty expensive now since its the best chest piece for Barbs. I'm aiming for high DPS, Armor, Res, Life, Dodge, Life Regen. Most are nailed down.

You are focusing way too heavy, but need more info to know where.

Fast weapons = more spirit. Obviously want a +700dps 70%critbonus + OS
Dump LOH use life per spirit spent (want to have above 60, if cannot then use passive ‘transcendence&#8217

that lifesteal is useless with 14k dps.

i lose DPS when i dual wield because i have a 300dex/10%crit shield. drop the life steal, its useless at your dps level.

you only need 6k armor, around 700 resist all, and about 800 LoH (w/ a 1.4 attack speed) to sustain through most elites.

for starters, spend a few mil on a 900dps weapon with +150 dex and an open socket. should cost you about 2-3 mil. then buy a 2.5 mil green gem and socket it for 80% crit dmg. then find a shield w/ 300 dex and 10% crit. block rate doesn't really matter much, but you want as high as you can go obviously. life%, resist, and vitality are huge pluses.

I'm still amazed at people that have collected 100M gold or whatever. I've gotten I think 15M total since launch. How do you guys know what will flip. So you buy something with only a few minutes left....then put it back up for a higher price, but how do you know it'll sell? It obviously didn't at the lower price for the person previously selling them. I'd like to try this, but as I noted my auctions don't go well at all, even undercutting similar items with a price as much as 15% lower.

My crit and crit damage isn't high. I have little problem surviving. My main hand is a 900 dps with LoH and Life Steal.

Sadly, I don't have much gold left. I sold all of it when it was much higher and stopped playing. I probably have like 1.5mil left. I will look around for something to give me more damage. I know my DH has a good crit damage amulet I might grab.

Defensive Skill Changes In our eternal quest to promote build diversity; we’ll be making changes to defensive skills across the board while simultaneously reducing incoming damage. The net result is a survivability buff for players, and an increase in build options as defensive abilities become less “mandatory.”

New Event: Infernal Machine The Infernal Machine is a device that will allow level-60 players to battle “uber” versions of some of Sanctuary’s most nefarious bosses. While the rewards for defeating these bosses will be great, some assembly is required.

New System: Monster Power Similar to the “Players 8” command in Diablo II, the Monster Power system is designed to give players more control over how challenging enemies are in each difficulty.

I got my OH for 2m and its very sufficient for my 1.04 farming needs. Come 1.05, im looking to invest into lifesteal.

I'm at 53 and got some good items today:

Lacuni - 90 Str, 80 All resist, 1 random stat - sold 125$
Talrasha Source - Int, Vit, Socket, Crit %, AP on Crit, Increase dmg on arcane orb.
Skorn - 1.36k Dps, 330 Int, 186% Crit Dmg, Socket - dunno how to price
Mempo of Twilight - Crap, sold for 2m.
Sword - 10% aspd, 90 Dex, 90 Vit, 950 LoH, Socket - looking to sell maybe 20-30m.
Vile Ward - 256 Str, 90 Dex, 300 Regen, 250 Armor, 78 AR - looking to sell maybe 20-25m.

I can't wait to get out of my legendary slump... up to 28 legendaries since 1.04 patch and have made under 100m off of it. I had the last 3 days off work so I hit the game hard and got to paragon 50.

Think I'm going for tyraels might over the IK chest once I save up enough for the buy. They can roll stats close to IK. I think if I can do that and get a pair of lacunis, I can drop movement speed on boots and go for some [relatively]cheaper ice climbers w/o move speed with insane str/vit with life% and socket which more than makes up for the loss on tyraels. Plus tyraels has +dmg to demons which 75% of mobs are in game, and more so in A3 & A4. Also has dmg to elites. I think this is a better combo and probably easier than gearing up for 5 IK pieces.

So the goal:
tyraels for 12% move + dmg to demons + dmg to elite
lacunis: w/crit for 12% move and ias
IK belt + IK helm for ar set bonus
ice climbers
rare gloves with ias, crit, ar and other stats
blackthorns jousting mail with AR and higher str/vit for the loh

all of this of course is going to cost a fortune... figure at least 400m

For my boots, I chose Int over Dex for more resists. I could possibly get some dex ones but am fine for now. I could not find any life regen chests with good stats for a reasonable price so I chose poison or fire resists next. I can stand on Plagie swinging and it does nothing to me.

I got rid of my defensive passive. I am trying to see which one I could use permanently. I can't wait for the next patch and I can dump Warcry. I hate having the skill as a necessity when you are limited to six choices. I want to use Rend instead, tried that out and promptly died.

I bought a 1k+ dps Blade of the Warlord from the RMAH to try it out. It is simply amazing for what it does. I want one with a socket and over 1k dps but they ate expensive. I would gladly switch my MH or OH for one with a socket. I don't have 300 million gold though. When I tested mine out, I used the life leech passive and it worked fantastic.

I may try the fury generating passive next. If you ever need gens made let me know and I can make them.

I know alk uses one... what does it do exactly that makes it great? It's a barb weapon if I recall? so you lose 10% crit but you gain fury on hit from passive, other than that, the other thing I remember is that it gives life/fury spent.

I was thinking along the same lines as you... wanted to drop warcry for rend but no dice. I thought about dropping bash for it instead but obviously not a good thing without a resoure generating ability. Then thought about using superstition passive but my LS/LOH is too low atm to try.

7.5 hours a day.
52.5 hours a week (over 2 ENTIRE days per week are spent on the game)
225 hours a month (over 9 days of an entire month are spent on the game)

Nah lol... I was on vl the first week of release. So i kinda played like crazy 14-15 hrs a day that week. I play around 3-6 hours on average coz i give up my weekends for the true MAIN BOSS (gf lol).
