Man, for a good laugh open the auction house, search for weapons, max level 41, and then 42. DPS increases 1000% between those two levels.

Pretty sure the + elemental percentage shows up in the paperdoll. When I put on a black weapon my dps shot up sky high.
Also here's the problem: wizard farms slow and you have to spend about 5x as much money to farm the equivalent of a barb would. It took me about 45 minutes to do my routine act 3 run in wizard, and I thought that was pretty fast... until I did the same thing with my barb in less than 20. Then I expanded my run and ended up killing about 2x as many elites and mobs in the same amount of time my wiz would. I'm leveling tons faster!!
Wizard's expensive too. Looking at upgrades for wizard always ran in the 100m mark, or 50m for sidegrades. That is depressing! And your equipment isn't really cross-spec compatible. Try doing CM with Life steal and under 100k and you'll know what I'm talking about.
And tried ray of frost build. It's pretty crappy... shielding mobs absolutely eat you and the single target dps isn't really high enough to keep stuff away. black ice is nice though, and does a lot of dps if mobs are dumb enough to walk into it.
Not arguing that barbs aren't faster to level, just saying I like playing my wizard. What do you mean by my equipment isn't really cross-spec compatible? I didn't list all my equipment. I could never do CM because I never had enough critical hit chance. I just know I could tank before and even better after 1.05, and the CM build got nerfed.
Wouldn't shielding mobs eat most dps'ers. They are shielded and cannot take any damage, so you have to wait until they drop their shields.
I do have one question for slowing skills though. Do they stack? If a mob is in slowtime and I hit them with ray of frost does it slow them more. I haven't really noticed it much. I may need to try the rune that increase the slow effect of ray of frost to make it noticeable. If it does stack how? Does it matter what slow hits them first?
They doubled the drop rates of legendaries with the last patch, making them drop anymore would be pretty ridiculous. If you don't have near max MF you're not trying hard enough - Get 500% MF on MP5. I find all my legendaries in streaks pretty much still, i'll go a day or two without finding any then find 3 in an hour or something crazy.
It's funny that now with more unique drops, you realize how many of the unique/set roles are total shit. You beat the odds and got it to drop, but you failed the other odds at getting reasonably good stats.

That's... kind of the point? Increase drop rate = glut of items on the market.
And shouldn't you have MF anyway? That's pretty much the biggest upgrade you can purchase because the game is about farming efficiency, and farming with 0 MF is just... well... lets say its not the smartest decision.
Just a note: I got 4 legendaries and a BT chest drop in the past 2 days and a ton of random rares that should be good sells. I'm VERY happy with the drop rate increase.

Well, since D3 is primarily a farming game, then this game probably isn't for you.
I guess you could wait to see if PVP will be your cup of tea (whenever they end up releasing it).
I started leveling a barb b/c my only 60, a wizard, got super boring, even before the nerfs in 1.05. The game feels a bit more refreshing now that I'm playing a new class. Granted, I'm not too keen on having to level up to 60 again, but I'm hoping once I get there, the farming will be so much better.
Then the game's not for you. Plenty of other good games out there that doesn't emphasize farming like xcom, darksiders 2, dishonored.
Don't really see the difference... In D2 you also had to get magic find for farming or you'd be wasting a lot of time, like literally weeks or months to find one good rune.
MP10 ubers is the most fun I have had since launch.
