You know what would make the Tasker and Theo gloves better? If gems put in gloves gave them crit chance. Radiant star = 10.0%.

What would make them better in a realistic way is if they changed the roll from this:

+40-50 Strength
+40-50 Dexterity
+40-50 Intelligence
+40-50 Vitality
Attack Speed Increased by 8-9%
+241-265 Armor
+2 Random Magic Properties
Empty Socket


To this:

One of 3 Magic Properties (varies)
+150-200 Strength
+150-200 Dexterity
+150-200 Intelligence
+50-100 Vitality
Attack Speed Increased by 8-9%
+241-265 Armor
+2 Random Magic Properties


There, I made a shitty legendary better or how it should have been to begin with.

Finally crafted my first hellfire ring:



Pretty good? Wish it had more Vit, but it was still a nice upgrade from one of my previous rings.

Not bad. The group I seem to do ubers with has a guy who got CC% and CD% on his. It took about 25 crafts to do it.

I've gotten a few that are okay, but nothing good enough to make me want to break up my litany of the undaunted / wailing host combo.

But, does the weapon compare not take into account your off hand orb when you compare your 1H to a new 2H weapon? I was really looking forward to 32K more dps.

Unfortunately yes, it doesn't calculate your offhand

DPS calcs that 'simulate' items for your character can get around this, though.

How could Blizzard not find/fix that bug as it makes weapon compare almost useless? Does comparing offhands take into account your main hand? I assume it doesn't. What's a good DPS calc?

Comparing offhands works fine for sources/mojos/quivers/shields. I'm not sure about dual wielding though.

the one i use is on d3up.com, where you can 'import' your character and then input a simulated item (could be real stats that you saw on the AH or made up stats) and it will compare the slot for you. i like it because it breaks down which stats will give you the most DPS or EHP per point. there are others but i dont know them though.

Those are pretty nice man. I'm kind of torn right now. I love having the set Bul-Kathos barb weapons. The set bonuses are pretty sweet (+130 str, +max fury). The only problem is that both my swords do not have an OS, so no CD% gems. I think that's probably the main thing hurting me from getting higher DPS. Been thinking of finding another bul-kathos blade with an OS but they are kind of pricy. You think it's worth it to drop at least one of the BK blades for another one with an OS?

You just need to start getting familiar with what stats are in demand on what items. Then you will be able to get rares, ID them, and know which ones can sell for a little, medium, or large amount. And more importantly, you can know which items you should just vendor.

For me, once I started realizing what was in demand on items, I began to make more money. It also helps to get an occasional set/legendary piece to drop that is worth 10M+.

For a while, I've been hovering between 20-30M gold, but recently sold a pair of gloves for 100M (85M after AH cut) and it was just a lucky drop/roll but at least I was able to see that the stats on it were awesome and should be worth a lot on the AH.

So, I say just start being familiar with what sells on AH and what doesn't.

Just to give you a general idea of what's important:

Gloves/rings/ammys - IAS%, CC%, and CD% are very important stats.

Boots - 12% Movement speed, All resist, Vitality

Helms - open socket, CC%, All resist

High base stats (strenght, Int, Dex) are also important.

i would use the warriors blood as my main.
and change the solemn vow to a very good off hand. life steal
is the way to go for off hand especially if you dps is higher than 50K.
life steal trumps LOH if you have high dps.

That would be ridiculously good, and it would be THE trifecta everybody's looking for. I'd rather they add some flavor to it like -cost to skills or some special skill that's not normally on a glove... like a socket perhaps?

If it's a good roll, Cindercoat is worth something. I sold one with intelligence, vitality, and 3 sockets for about $10 when the equivalent gold price was about 8 million.

My suggestion would be to make the socket do something special and not just increase the primary stat.

Maybe something like:
Rubies = CC% +8% for radiant star
Emeralds = CD% +100% for radiant star
Amethyst = IAS% +15% for radiant star (too high?)
Topaz = All Resist +100 for radiant star (have to make it competitive with CC)

Didn't know that.

So maybe... double socket? I mean it's Tasker AND Theo after all.

IAS 15% is too high, i'd say 10%, especially if gloves themselves can have IAS rolls.

CD also too high... say 50%.

Also would rather topaz be Runspeed (capped at 13% or something to make it appealing). Would give us more options as opposed to must have 12% Runspeed on boots and must get lacunis.

Are the servers usually down all day like this? You would think they could at least leave up a few login servers or something. DRM is fucking stupid. If someone was going to buy your game then they would buy it you idiots.

Glad they decided to do this right after putting it on sale, what a bunch of assclowns.

I don't know if today is something different, but every tuesday blizz does maintenance for battle.net and its games. Typically they say it will be done 11:00AM PDT so you still got 20 min to wait.

Sure it would but so are other lvl 63 legendary items like Mempo, Vile or Ice Climbers. A lvl 63 legendary SHOULD have potential to be top tier in the game if it's rolled right. If anything the only small change I would make to what I suggested would be 1 random roll instead of 2 that way you can could never roll a trifecta. Even then I think I'd put AR on it if 1 of the rolls were removed.

A lvl 63 legendary shouldn't be trash immediately on drop unless it happens to roll 2 particular stats out of a hundred. Just look at the Lvl 62 Strongarm Bracers they did which is a GOOD example of how to do a legendary.

8-9% Life
+216-240 Armor
Critical Hit Chance Increased by 4.5%
1.0-5.1% Chance to Knockback on Hit
One of 3 Magic Properties (varies)
+150-169 Intelligence
+150-169 Dexterity
+150-169 Strength
+1 Random Magic Properties

This is a lvl 62 legendary that on drop is an immediate upgrade for low to mid tier gear.

It'll just make all the trifecta gloves in that slot more or less worthless, similar to shoulders vs vile ward. I'd rather they give it a bit more flavor rather than "boost all the stats".

I agree both gloves (gladiator) are pretty much insta shard right now and that shouldn't be the case.
