Change up your skills and gear a bit to try something else with your class to refresh your interest. I do that every now and then, but adhere to those few things that are tested and true for being effective in exp'ing. Of course, the limits there are your pocket book, but you can always do something on a budget if you look carefully enough. ^^

Yeah that's what I did with my DH. I got a different weapon (went from dual socket manticore to a single socket calamity), and changed my main skills around. I'm lower dps, but it's fun playing a different build.

I'm getting close to plevel 80 now. Don't know when/if I'll make 100.

i have an 875 dps, 25% lightning, 75% CD and 2.2% LS one

Mine's dookie compared to that: 824dps, 20% lightning bonus, 11% IAS, socket. I picked it up for like, 1m about a week ago for fun. I usually run a Fist of Azturasq and Echoing Fury (which also needs to be upgraded).

My monk is para45 and I solo MP8 pretty comfortably, working my DPS up to jump to 9 eventually and I couldn't live (literally) without Life Steal on my WKL. You could probably get away with it if you use a Life Steal main hand, but I think you absolutely need at least one source of it; I've actually been using Transcendence passive lately since I currently have 0 LoH and I'll occasionally have trouble with reflect or certain AoE damage. Considering trying out the 20% damage reduction when you deal damage, but I think that won't be necessary eventually.

Yup, it's a balancing act. I used to run transcendance before paragon levels existed and then got an inna's radiance with 50+ LPSS on it and now have that passive slot free. Then I was surviving having 1600 LoH and no LS (pre-100k DPS). Around 75k DPS I got a weapon with LS on it and started to drop most of my LoH items for more DPS. If I were able to get LS on 2 decent weapons the LPSS wouldn't be nearly as utilized.

In a pinch, having that heal from abilities is pretty reliable; especially when your attack speed is quick like mine is (3.06 main, 2.68 off).

Personally, I will choose lower DPS and higher IAS if given the option. With a WKL, you want to ramp that bonus as much as possible from SW: Cyclone and FoT. On paper it'll show lower DPS, but in practice you'll mow through fields of monsters.

I really wish all of the primary abilities (for all classes) had at least 2 or more elemental attributes to them. It'd allow for greater diversity in build and we'd have a lot less clones running around. >.<

Oh, hit a new massacre record yesterday (solo). I was mad because I got stopped by a burrowing leaper elite that was really douching it up.

Record was 496!

Speak of the devil. Found a good deal on a WKL with LS and a socket. It was comparable in DPS to the one I was using without LS on it and just bumped my survivability tremendously. I used to run away from arcane lasers, but not any more!

I think I'm going to finally embrace the AH for some upgrades. Up until now I haven't bought anything other than materials from the AH, but drop after drop I haven't seen a decent upgrade in months, and I can buy huge upgrades on the AH for less than 500k (I currently have about 10 million saved up).

I don't play the game enough to try and farm good items, and I've getting discouraged selling hundreds of full inventories over and over, and finding a legendary or set item seems as rare as hitting the lotto.

For now I'm just going to sort by the cheapest items posted that are full upgrades to my gear, and just buy off of the 1st page. Hopefully those upgrades won't cost me too much, and will be small enough upgrades that I might still occasionally get a drop that makes me smile, rather than just farming the AH.

Well...I went and reinstalled the game after 8 months away. I gave it a fair shot and went in with an open mind, as my last experience was being destroyed in act 2 with no hope of upgrades or advancement since I missed the golden window at the start of the game.

Let me say, I am pleasantly surprised. It feels like old diablo 2 again to me. I could get through act 4 inferno without too much difficulty and actually somewhat enjoy some of the grind of act1 Mp1. Couple upgrades fell for me and I went on the AH and got some steals to just help me be able to farm quickly and without too much danger. They could still use some itemization fixes and make skills work better together, but overall I am pleased. This is how it should have been at release.

I will be playing again for awhile now.

Any of you MP10 guys wanna let me leech off you?

This thread is kind of refreshing. Everywhere else I go, I see people hating on this game. I enjoy it. It's still Diablo. I still click on things until they die, and it's still fast paced and fun.

I'm not quite as hardcore as the regular posters here (Act I Nightmare MP7 w/ a lvl. 41 barb), but this thread got me to make use of the auction house, and now my barb is doing much better damage and I'm not as constrained by gold as I used to be now that I just auction off all the rares that I won't/can't use.

I was trying to get by without ever touching it, but the drops and ecosystem really were built with the AH in mind. I'll never touch RMAH, though, unless I ever get enough gold of my own stacked up to make it worth my while.

I also hopped over to the official forums, and that helped me pick skills a bit better. It certainly made WW a lot more powerful for me.

Anyway, I figured I'd drop my tag, sweenish182#1340, just for kicks. If anyone is going to add me, please PM before. I'll just delete strange requests.

I'm almost p81, I dread 90-100. I switched out rend for HotA and it feels really good right now. I generally play late at night to early morning if anyone wants to do mp8-10 runs.

I just hit 81 an hour ago. Definitely not looking forward to 90-100...

It's insane that people have accounts with all classes at plevel 100, male and female... or all in softcore and all in hardcore.

i just hit paragon 52 last night and i'm dreading the last 48 levels lol.
i'm running a radiant ruby in helm and a hellfire ring, and playing mp10 and it's still taking forever to paragon up.

i've been doing vota-desolate sands-west/eastern channels

is there a more efficient xp farm right now?

yes, get out of mp10 and do mp7 or mp8 with a group. you'll be relegated to act1, but hit up Festering Woods, the 3 dungeons at Cemetery of the Forsaken, Weeping Hollows, Fields of Misery, and Southern Highlands for the 1 or 2 dungeons that randomly spawn there

I personally do woods->hollow>fields>cath, I only do crypts if I dont get 5 stacks from woods. I can do mp 10 I just do mp8 because it's faster for me and I don't like dying(completely ruins the mood for me). I play anywhere from 10pm-10am.

Just received an e-mail from Blizzard saying they received a request to change the e-mail address of the account to another one (and somehow I had no saying in it? pro security system you got there)
Half hour later, I get message saying password has been reset, account has been suspended etc from suspicious activity and the steps I should take to recover it

Funniest part: I havent played any Blizzard game since October 2012, nor do I have anything of value in my account, so why the hell would someone hack it? WTF?

Honestly, Im glad they locked my account, I have no intentions of playing D3 again anyway, so Ill just leave it like that (and I used some random password for my bnet account which I dont even remember, so theres no risk of it escalating, which is what would worry me)

You can't change the email as far as I know. At least, not withing calling them and verifying it. Most likely you received a spoofed email. If you had followed any link on it, chances are that is how you compromised your account.

i skip halls and always do hollows. mob density in hollows is great and sometimes it spawns a dungeon, also you get 3 dungeons at cemetery with great mob densities as well. i take the waypoint to southern highlands and do the 2 dungeons that usually spawn there.

Defiled Crypt in Fields is my favorite place ever. It's ridiculous down there lol.

I skip dungeons. Sadly, you have to TP out of them and that takes too much time. Plus you lose WoTB. =(

I do Festering > Hollows > Fields then restart.
I have been doing Act 2 though, I prefer it. VoA > lap around Desolate Sands > Oasis > Eastern Passage > Western Passage then restart.

90-100 was a major drag. Once the patch hit though, I went from 98-100 so quickly. A few act 1 runs in pub mp8 lobbies and i hit it way quicker than going from 90-98.
