Looks like you're on the right track. If you like using Zombie Dogs for extra tanks/protection, Life Link is a little better. Just work on improving your damage while keeping similar AR and bumping up the life total and armor as you can afford to.

WD can do a bit of damage with Zombie Bears or Plague/Cloud of Bats.

Thanks for the tips, I tried out cloud of bats and it is amazingly powerful, but the range is extremely small and i'm a bit squishy at the moment.

My Witchdoctor is also a little impoverished. I only have about 1.8 million gold and I haven't been getting so lucky with drops. I'm just plugging away and slowly upgrading. Is it worth it to invest in crafting?

Yes, and no. For certain pieces (and I can't see your gear because I am at work), it can be great, especially for not as geared players. It is all RNG, but you have the potential to get a great upgrade. In instances like mine, I have to basically craft the perfect piece for it to be an upgrade. I've made probably around 1000 pairs of gloves and haven't been able to top my barb gloves (97str, 79AR, trifecta). Now, things like bracers and shoulders are pretty easy to get upgrades, because you only need main stat (which you get automatically) vit, AR and either armor or crit depending on shoulder or bracer.

Diablo 3 teaser site hints at possible Reaper of Souls expansion

A new teaser page on the official Diablo 3 site looks to point towards an expansion called 'Reaper of Souls.' The page shows an image of a looming, shadowy entrance, along with a quote from the Book of Tyrael, which reads "Death, at last, shall spread its wings over all." The page itself is titled Reaper of Souls, and text at the bottom of it indicates Blizzard trademarked that term, something TMView confirms happened just yesterday. Also, the image has the filename "d3x_teaser_en_us.jpg," the 'x' there suggestive on its own.

We know a Diablo 3 expansion has been planned for some time, but this teaser page adds to suspicions that more info will be forthcoming soon, most likely at Gamescom later this month. In a recent earnings call, Blizzard President Michael Morhaime said the company would share "Diablo-related news" at the event, while invites for its press conference there teased a "special announcement." Blizzard also trademarked 'The Dark Below' recently; that now seems likelier to be related to World of Warcraft or something else entirely.

Well, regardless of what most people are going to say about this, I am rather excited. I have 3 of the 5 classes geared up pretty well (MP10 on the Wiz and Barb and I could probably get away MP10 on the Monk in a group or if I skilled a bit different). If they buff DH, I will be pretty happy too!

I am kind of curious where they go with the lore at this point. Up til now everything has been about the Prime Evils which seem to currently be pretty well defeated. I hope we don't see another "evil resurrected" story which was pretty much the basis of D2 and D3.

It sounds like "Death" (maybe the four horsemen?) will be in focus, but I'm curious if "it" is going to just be a new minion of hell in some way or maybe from some new plane.

Well, didn't Tyrael seal off the human world from the angel world, thus eliminating the threat of Diablo (or any other agent of Hell) corrupting the human world and fighting the angels?

I would imagine they might go with some evil resurrected scenario, because what else do they have? Aliens invade? I guess maybe another plane (a 4th, and unknown world) that is filled with bigger baddies than Hell was?

I liked the story that the hero from the firs Diablo became the evil in the second, due to the corruption of Diablo. But, other than that, the story in all 3 were weak at best. The lore and story of Warcraft was always much better in my opinion; I did stop following anything after Wrath of the Lich King though.

EDIT: After thinking about it some more, I suppose with the angel's influence gone, perhaps powerful and evil magic can be used to create new monsters. Maybe gollum constructs and steampunk style stuff in new areas.

I wouldn't think that they need to. You're not missing out on anything between playing MP1 and MP10 as far as the game itself goes. The only change is that the numbers get way higher, but the game itself is fundamentally the same the whole way through. Further it's not like any expansion areas are going to use MP10 as a 'base'. I could see them tuning MP1 expansion areas into "MP 1.2" or something like that so that the expansion areas are slightly more difficult/demanding (I think D2X did this) but nothing major.

Personally I like the numerous planes of existence in the Forgotten Realms universe. I'm only roughly familiar with them through playing an NWN mod but having all these different, unique worlds with their own hierarchies and dangers is cool. I think they could definitely expand into something like that, though I think there would be extensive complaints of it being a cop-out as well lol.

As far as it goes, I consider it a conclusive assumption that we haven't seen the last of Adria. I also suspect that we haven't actually seen the last of the black soulstone and that Imperius is going to be one of the bosses of the expansion, possibly as Wrath. That, admittedly, is a much larger assumption on my part. But there was an awful lot of talk about how angels weren't *really* all that awesome and how the black soulstone would work on them as well as on demons for that to not come back into play at some point.

Maybe he just stayed a mortal and didn't block the worlds off. I thought he separated them, but the wikipedia on Diablo 3 states he wanted to build a alliance between them.

I know the story is really incomplete though. The never confirm you're a nephalem or explain any of that. Khul was just talking about it, and then decided you are one by calling you it. You also go into the area in Act 1 that "only nephalem can enter", but Leia and your follower enter as well, and Maghda shows up with all the cultists.

I was reading over on one of the d3 reddits on how they think that malthael was foretold to become death which plays into the choice of expansion titles. Imperious is supposed to become the angel of wrath which could wind up being the second expansion

Interesting, so there's going to be something new with Diablo III.

I have the feeling that the famous and probably hyped "Itemization Update" they were planning to do will end up being a feature of the expansion rather than being given in a patch for current D3, or maybe not, time will tell I guess. As for the lore at this point perhaps this time around we'll have to deal with corrupted or just plain pissed off Archangels, heck pretty much all of Heaven was invaded and desecrated by the end of D3 so there's got to be some "traces" or diabolic essence or shenanigans like that they could easily come up with. In fact I was totally expecting Tyreal to be a villain (at least temporarily, for instance due to manipulation or possession) in D3 since he was in the chamber at the end of D2 when the stone exploded, but instead he just temporarily became mortal and had to deal with amnesia, kind of anti-climatic based on my own expectations. Overall D3's story isn't exactly "great" anyway... it's rather decent at best, although I've seen much worse, but I have to say that Belial had a lot of [unexploited] potential.

It's good news nonetheless, Diablo III in and of itself screams incomplete in my book and needs to be worked some more, it could become great over time (I sincerely believe it has that potential).

Little bit of a funny story. If you guys know electronic music you probably know deadmau5 and might know he plays D3. He also streams from time to time when making music in the studio. Towards the end of this streaming session he hops on D3 and streams till he gets a legendary to drop. I joined the public game he was in and got on the stream. I am more of a DH guy but he pays a slight compliment to me at 1:20 40s, awful group and ran into some terrible packs. Fun stuff though...

Ugh...finding upgrades is more and more difficult. Sitting at around 180k - 200k dps on Barb, WD, Monk, and Wiz, I just can't stomach paying hundreds of millions of gold for a minor bump in dps. I've been finding little pieces here and there that held my dps steady but gave a bit of an AR or armor boost but that's it. Maybe I'm just a hoarder when it comes to gold or something.

Nothing is selling on the AH or trading forums anymore...sitting on 100+ legendaries that are good...just to uber. Many rares that good (tri-fecta gloves, rings, amulets), 1k+ dps weaps with sockets/crit dam/LS/etc, and good pieces of armor (top/bottom) that just won't move.

I log on for an hour or two each night while winding the day down and hop into public games or group with friends. End up finding around 3 - 5 legendaries each sitting but they all suck...you can't imagine how many windforce, ivory towers, shield (can't remember the name) without the CC%, etc that I've gotten over the last couple of weeks. Hitting salvage on a Natalya's ring/boots or Tal's set piece that had such potential just screams slap-in-the-face. Those green legendaries should be far better than they are...
