There's one Keywarden in each act:

Act I - Field of Misery
Act II - Dahlgur Oasis
Act III - Stonefort
Avt IV - Silver Spire Level 1

I got the plans from the Act IV warden which also dropped a Key of Terror

At Torment 1 each warden have 25% chance to drop a key. You need 3 keys and the Plans to craft the machine and you need 3 machines in order to get the 3 components for the Hellfire Ring. No more need for NV, nothing is required except for some farming and time.

When you have your machines, by the end of Act I just bash the door behind the Healer in New Tristram, it'll open the room where you can open your portals.
Go ahead and add me, I have a few machines and will run with you. ewok#1399

For those playing HC and think they're ready to move up in difficulty. Don't forget the enrage time on certain bosses.. T1 Belial just claimed 2 of my HC level 60's. The first was with my buddy and we could casually kill any elite pack while face-tanking them. What was making us kill them quickly and making us confident was that I was using a Moonlight Ward so I had incredible damage when I was surrounded. I was even using 7 sided strike so we were able to kill goblins before they escaped.. We survived the enrage for a few seconds but he killed me and my friend when he was around 20% hp. Then I had the great idea to do it on my wizard who I thought was ready for the fight and he wasn't either. I wasn't too attached to my characters and I was leveling another anyway. RIP in peace..

After playing PoE HC I was really curious where the actual difficulty in Diablo was and I found it. Make sure you guys are more cautious if you want your character's alive for ROS.

I'm considered poor at 1.4M

I guess I'm a straight up beggar at 500k. Just started the game again last night and it's actually pretty fun again. Might just be the 2nd honeymoon phase, but if I enjoy another run through the game I might just end up buying RoS.

Has anyone looted a thunderfury yet? If yes what difficulty and what route? Just wondering.

See, this is the thing about D3 that really chaffes my taint...you can loot a Thuderfury off of a corpse just as well as you can from a pack of elites that have the most challenging affixes on them. There's just no way to 'farm' anything and it's really beginning to draw my ire.

They just need a button labeled, "Just toss me in somewhere", as it is pretty much worthless as to which Act/chapter you do. Any legendary or other type of drop is about as random as that button would be.

Am I misinformed or clouded on this or have I hit the nail right on the head?

Blizzard has said they consider making certain areas or bosses have better chances of dropping certain legendaries. No idea if they actually even implemented anything like that. The example they gave was the Butcher would have a higher drop rate of the Butcher's Sickle than other enemies. I believe there are is a legendary that only drops in the pony level (it is a lvl 19 sword for wizards IIRC) and when you could get affixes akin to your monster level (which on Inferno would be i63) it would have a chance at being like 1k DPS for a level 19 weapon.

As far as what Cap was saying, I believe she is just wanting to know your farm route (like do yo do core T1 or CotA t6).

Yep that's what I meant. My friend looted a thunderfury on Master difficultly and I was like wtf. I assume people farm 'Kill azmodan' checkpoint quest and farm legendaries there. It's the fastest way for leg runs as far as I'm aware of.

'Blizzard has said they consider making certain areas and bosses have better chance of dropping certain legendaries' Yep that's right. Blizzard did say that before, hence why I asked.

No, join the US master race and delete your EU characters. EU even sounds like "Ewwwww", why would you want to play there?

So, can someone help a newb out here? I picked up the game after having played it on console. I beat it on normal difficulty. I started on the next difficulty, but I didn't reset. Should I reset between difficulties? Or should I even jump up a few of the difficulties?

I found one for my Monk in Act 3 T3 or T4 while running to Azmodan. I can't remember if it was a mob or chest.

I found one for my Barb while doing CotA runs on T6 out of a chest.

The last six or seven legendary pieces of gear I have found, have come from chests. I have found six or seven patterns off mobs in that that same time span.

I was running around with my brother on his monk today. He made a very good point while we were finding legendaries: it's best to run games with the same class. That way if one person finds something they don't need, it can be traded to another person in the game.

This is the only way to take advantage of the very limited item system now.

I stopped playing really fast because I didn't like the old loot system. I've started playing again, and to me it feels like a new and much better game.

I'm not sure if I "stopped playing really fast", but I never did like the old loot system. I wanted to play the game and find at least passable gear, playing the game, without essentially being required to use the AH to survive.

I like the game a LOT better now. I've gotten my Wizard from 40 to 57 (already have a 60 Barb and WD) and have really enjoyed it. I'm sure I'll get burned out sooner rather than later, but it's nice to actually have a desire to even look at the items mobs drop for me now.

This would be true if you only had one character, or if you forget what gear your other characters used every time you switched toons.
