IMHO, short of having a Ladder with seasonal resets, Adventure Mode is the absolute best thing that could have happened to increase replayability. It's amazingly fun. Bounties, bounty quest rewards, nephalem rifts, item gambling with blood shards; it's the most inspired thing to happen since D2's Ladder system.

Do yourself a favor and don't wait too long to grab the expansion. You won't regret it.

I won't get my CE until Tuesday....ugh. I want to play it so badly right now lol.

If you play monk and have gear with secondary resistances, then it's nice to change them to the same type and use the passive skill "One with everything". It can raise your overall resistance quite a lot.

I just got back into Diablo 3 a couple days ago after reading the great changes, particularly the loot 2.0 patch. Although I'm only currently at lvl 20 and still in Act 1, I can already say that I will be playing this for a while to come so I broke down and bought the expansion last night. Playing a Barbarian right now.

One question comes to mind though, am I missing anything by starting a new char just before purchasing the expansion? By that I mean is there any benefits that the expansion gives brand new characters?

Can someone let me know when they find a Limb Cleaver, and hold onto it for me? LVL 70white Mighty Weapon. Farming for it is annoying as hell

I saw you asking for one earlier. I will let you know if I find one. My advice though is to run A4 a few times and just open the weapon stands.

I'm having a slow time gearing my wizard. I keep getting two handed axes and swords. I did get a nice set of shoulders yesterday though.

Nice, im at 644k, 4.3m and clearing T1 easily, T2 slowly (although not painfully slow)

Upgraded my gems and I am now at like 760K with 4.3m toughness. Found some Vile Wards that were pretty good (had to reroll Armor for Vit though). Now, all I need are some DH set pieces and a new bow. The one I have is so crappy. =( A good bow would put me so much higher in DPS.

Anyone having a bit of a tough time gearing up "optimally"? I played through the expansion, starting at T1, then having to drop it all the way to Hard to beat Malthael. I've been doing bounties/rifts at T1 now, generally the first 3 acts. But, when I get a piece of equipment I tend to think I am sacrificing a lot. I finally got a 1900+ dps 1h sword yesterday that had + cold damage and a socket (115% crit chance) with an off-hand that has + orb damage. But then I get other upgrades that are a mixed bag (like the thundergod belt - as a wizard that proc doesn't seem very useful), and I'm wondering if I should be putting far more effort into enchanting, to re-roll the stats I don't like on what could otherwise be a very good item. Is that what you guys are doing?

Damn, the xpac is amazing. Lots of fun playing it and getting my ass kicked by bosses lol. I started at T1 and all was well...i'm now playing at Master and sometimes have to drop to Expert on bosses.

The person who owrked on the OST for RoS is a genious.

Yesterday evening was a lucrative session. I started at level 67 and now at 69. Just beat Adria (wtf with the blood oozes!!). Got 2 legendary upgrades: Shaefer's Hammer (ilevel 67) and Tyrael's Might (ilevel 68). Having this hammer with Thundergod's Vigor is just awesome. Trash mobs die when my electricity aura pops. I replaced the rune on cleave to use Broad Sweep that deals 210% damage and converts it to electricity damage. Pure fun! Also got a couple of rares that were upgrades.

My shitty Barb started the day with 81K dps/310k HP/3.4M tough and is now at 108K dps/332K hp/3.2M tough.

Can't wait to ding to 70 and start farming for actual worthwhile upgrades, but I can actually feel i'm stronger and more resilient.

Anyone else having the game crash on them a lot? I'm on OSX and the game crashes every few hours. It's not unplayable or anything, but it is somewhat annoying, especially as it usually happens at the end of bounties or rifts when TPing back to town. I miss out on some horadric caches.

I send in the bug reports, so hopefully it gets fixed.

Also, I got two ammys today. One is the ammy that turns arcane beams into health beams

And I got a pair of Vyr's boots for my wizard.

Damn, I never knew you could use well of souls with rush of essence + pierce the veil and almost never run out of mana. My WD is not at 740k dps.

I found Shenlong's Relentless Assault the other day for my monk, was pretty nice. Last night I found it again, was kind of hoping for the other one to get the two set bonus and an offhand upgrade instead of a forgotten soul lol.

I'm actually quite enjoying the changes to legendary crafting. Sure you can't pick and choose the recipes you find (and anything that requires a Flawless Royal Gem to craft I would think twice about before spending the money/time/gems) but they're not terribly difficult to find and they're really just more of a way to 'fill in the gaps' rather than be a primary source of gear. Plus the crafting materials finally give the purple-named mobs a reason to exist and it all entwines nicely with the bounty system.

Finished Act V. Had it on master and did it all fairly easily till the very end. Gear upgrades for several slots started slipping a bit with ~L61 items so had to bump difficulty down for the ram & matheal.

Hit 3 million gold and finally though I was getting rich in game...then upgraded the jeweler and starting upgrading gems, only did about half and ran out of money.

Funny thing about the loot thing, only class specific item I had seen in any real quantity while on the wizard has been barbarian belts, normally blue ones at that.

Just started a crusader. Seems a bit week early on with the limited skills. Bought some gear from the crafter though and that made him a bit OP feeling even with no skills though.

You can always re-roll certain attributes on an item. It can be expensive on legendary items. But it can make a worthless item into an awesome one.

Trying to build a monk tank, and I just hit lvl 70. ATM 125K/12.5M Toughness. Trying to transform all single resistances to the same so they stack nicely with "One with Everything". ATM I have around 1150 res. all, but if I had enough resources to transform I could hit around 1400 with my current gear. I also have -31.84% damage from melee attackers.

So to be able to right click the legendary books and the Griswald scrolls stuff you have to level the smith to 12 right?

Crusader is really slow until 70, and then he is a lot of fun. And you will get a ton of Mighty Belts. I get, at the very least, 5 per inventory fill. It is incredibly stupid.

I've been told, can anyone confirm, that the new Ice Climbers make you immune to movement impairing effects such as frozen. You still take the damage, but you just don't get stunned.
