I don't have a SMK, but even if I did, I wouldn't use it. It really isn't worth it IMO. I suppose, using the Big Bad Voodoo every elite pack might augment the 25% elite damage (using the 30% damage rune), but that only counts if the Sycophant fetishes count for the CD reduction. I am not particularly looking for one, although, I would probably keep one if I did find it. A nice 2400 DPS one would be nice.

SMK is best in slot weapon for a pet WD, and it's really clear after you get to use one for a bit. Pets already kill solo target RG's and elites very fast due to SoJ and Aughild's, but nearly 100% uptime on BBV makes solo T6 easy because the large trash pulls also get cleared fast. Fetishes spawned from the passive also work for SMK, so you don't need to use FA if you don't want. I like keeping FA on the bar with full Zuni because it helps keep the fetish count high for poor density rifts, and I already have a few pieces with +FA damage anyway. Whether or not I keep FS as a passive depends on which pet build I decide to run, since I sometimes use the Hexing Pants of Mr Yan build with TMF dog and FA fetishes for a change of pace.

Pet WD isn't so great in optimized T6 mixed class groups since they don't have a chance to deal damage often if there are big aoe damage dealers like Jade WD or Crusaders, but giving the party good BBV slam dance uptime helps a bit.

However, I've found that the zombie charger pile on rune is a pretty spender if you're looking for one. It's physical damage, causes knock back for strong arm, and does 800 damage.

I was, for awhile, using Grasp of the Dead (rune that increases the damage to like 880%) in conjunction with Piranhado to clearing stuff. I tried (especially before sycophant buff) a mana spender, but wasn't a huge fan or any. The damage they add now just almost doesn't seem worth losing BBV or Spirit Walk. Sadly, trash is currently far harder than elites for me. I might play around with a mana spender just to clear trash. I do T2 rather than T4 mostly because the trash packs take longer than elites for me. =(

I'm really wanting to put together something with my Crusader. I've got a decent Akkhan chest just need to roll sockets.

Is bombardment viable? I ask because that is the increased dmg effect. Or I can re-roll +armor.

Just need suggestions, I'm currently using Schaefer Hammer for my weapon.

WD is the easier to get to T6 and the easiest to survive T6 currently. I am surprised by the Wizards though. I would figure either crusader, barb, or DH would be better as far as damage output + survivability.

I don't really use a mana spender on my pet WD. If I go solo, I'll go RoT with FS passive and just make sure I have 15 fetishes running around killing things. Keeping Pierce the Veil as a passive, it just makes casting most spenders way too expensive.

I do still use Zuni 4 pc and FA because some monsters and rift guardians destroy fetishes from the passive (the maidens that summon archers, mallet lords, anarchs, exarchs and the guardians with lots of aoe), so I can resummon and clean those out if I'm dealing with them.

Odd. I would say the Mara DH is the most powerfull right now. With the right gear. Like soj, tnt, bombadier quiver, etc. They just plant and hide. Turrets do ll the work.

I play dh and I would agree that the dh is good for high torment levels, I just think it takes a long time to gear a dh up properly and that they are pretty much rocket launchers that die every 30 seconds until you do. I still have yet to get tasker gloves and a royal ring of grandeur. Once that happens my dh will be quite strong as I can already do t6 rifts fairly easily solo. For multiplayer I buffed up my toughness a lot and run around 12-14 million toughness because I got sick of dying as I get distracted a lot.

It takes a long time and dedication to gear up just about any class really. I play with a well geared DH, and we both shared extra loot from T6 runs, that's how I got my marauder and he has almost all his jade pieces.

Then, I see alot of people with the right gear, but are not spec'd properly to handle T6. Like a mara DH still dual weilding, using only 1 hatred spender, etc. Doing everything possible to maintain high paper dps stats.

My Jade doctor's dps is 550. I had to give up alot of offensive stats to maintain survivabilty in T6 with it. Pets build is alot easier to get alot of toughness with. The Jade doctor is alot harder to use, and learn. You have to lay everything out perfectly to get and time everything correctly to really get it working efficiently, and no it does not one shot everything in T6.

After trying the cinder coat with my Barb and Using the RROG to have a full set of Raekor's gear I have increased my DPS dramatically. I think I can probably hang in T4, but I do T3 comfortably. I would really like for 1 more Earth set item to drop.

Agreed. It's not like all the pieces needed for my jade and pet build dropped overnight. Buff other sets, classes, but do not touch the WD. I actually salvaged my first MOJ that dropped b/c pets were useless. Then I had to farm over and over to finally get it again after the buff. Now that pets are awesome and fun to use, haters want it taken away?

Of course they do. Just like when barbs were OP, despite them having literally zero CC and needing tons of gear to farm higher paragon levels before 2.0. Everyone was always crying "barbs can farm faster than me! whaaaaa! It is no fair that something that has literally zero impact on my ability to play my class exists!"

Just a bunch of whiners. WD will get nerfed. Then DH. Then Wizard. Then Barb again. Then Crusader. And monk will continue to be meh. >_<

wow.. if they do I will actually be thinking of uninstalling and wait till seasons or wait for diablo 4 release (sarcasm). Just make every class equal.. oh wait blizzard are stupid nvm.

I agree that it might be a little easier for wd to hit T6, but it still takes the right gear to get there. If TnT, MOJ, Rehno/SMK are not dropping for you, T6 is still a bit of a stretch and it's probably even harder or takes even longer to complete jade+quetz.

Key thing is, whatever class you play, find some good people to help carry you. Me and my buddy were carrying two Crusaders that were holding their own pretty well last night. One guy had full Akhan set, but was doing worst than the guy with out it.

Yeah I'm having this problem too with the PC in my sig, I'm probably going to play around with it tonight and see if I can figure out what the deal with it is. Are you using the darken/sharpen filters at all? I was thinking maybe it was that but toggling it off didn't seem to do anything.

No filter per say..........
I was also having a pretty bad tearing I turn on the Vertical Sync and I still have anti aliasing off.
Cluster density is also high......... along Audio too

They may have improved loading times and optimized the engine when 2.0 released, but whatever they did (I think they made the engine run in overlay/fullscreen windowed mode) it broke multi-card configurations. I've had to run a single card since then, since it freezes my computer if I try to run Crossfire. Others mention that their additional cards aren't being utilized. I figured out it's because MSI Afterburner is running that causes it to freeze for me. If I shut down Afterburner, CF simply doesn't use my second card instead of freezing.

This isn't due to drivers from AMD, either (before anyone screams such). Every other game I have runs CF just fine as it always has. It's only D3 that freezes my computer.

I created a thread on b.net and submitted a support ticket months ago to no avail. Blizzard just doesn't care.

I have this mouse... I wouldn't recommend it other than a collector's item. The buttons are kind of awkward and it is a really slim mouse that just feels awkward to use.

For all you WD players, has anyone used the Homunculus where it summons a zombie dog every 5 seconds? I have been reading that you can now remove summon zombie dogs as an ability and using sacrifice will greatly boost your dps, any truth to this? At work so I can't try it, and I would also have to roll crit onto this thing so I don't want to waste my souls re-rolling if I don't have too since this is an alt.

Exactly. Even before 2.0, I was a WD and had no problems hanging with everyone and doing MP10 Ubers and such. I put the time in to get the right gear needed for my WD.
