Added and thank you

I forgot to ask. Is it worth grinding Paragon points in Seasons? Do they add up for the next season? How does it work? I've heard it adds the XP but how does that give you an advantage for next season? ;_;

Whether it's 'worth it' or not seems neither here nor there to me, in the sense that I'm at paragon 220 without trying, and I bet I'll hit paragon 400 (more than my non-season character) because my season wiz is already better off than my main wiz!

I gave away a furnace to my brother in law who had a gift. I still haven't seen a gift drop. If I can get an ancient furnace, or...an ancient cindercoat, and then farm the mats to craft an ancient devastator, I'll be trying to grind my way up through grifts. I've posted in this thread a number of times asking for EU players so hope we meet in game soon.

Everything from your season character gets added. I didn't play at all in season 1 (on a season character) because I didn't see the point, but now...I do.

I think next season I'll play a DH though. I still can't get over their playstyle. Seem to one shot entire elite packs in T6, and makes the Firebird playstyle feel so, so slow!

That's really poor logic since the team has said themselves that 3 months is their intended max and that S1 ran as long as it did because of issues on their end.

I don't see how using S1 as a reference for S2 is 'poor logic' lol - not to mention D2 seasons/ladders were known for being pretty long as well. Further, even if that's the case it's still not going to end for 2+ months. Ending "soon" is like saying Christmas is "soon" in October.

I still bet it goes closer to 6 than 3. If they start cycling seasons that quickly they'll probably catch hell for it unless they manage to include significant new items or updates every time - and their track record does not reconcile with them doing that every 3 months.

I Googled some info and I think I'm going to stop playing seasonal. It's not even worth playing IMO. You get the same shit in non seasons. What is the point? I've already got my legendary BOW in seasonal for my DH so what am I going to do now? It's pointless wasting time paragon leveling in Seasons and knowing it will reset after. I don't even understand the logic in seasons. I'm playing non seasonal. I don't care what others say. It's not worth. Correct me if I'm wrong.

FYI. I am Paragon 117 in S2 and only played 7 hours on it lol.

Season 3 has already started on PTR.

They recently hotfixed an exploit, or unintended synergy (however you want to view it) in S2, essentially locking down the leaderboard top spots. All the new sets and the [so far just 3] seasonal exclusives are being tested right now.

Christmas is soon in October. 2 months is not a long period of time. That's just a difference in our definitions.

I get that you're relying on past experiences, but D2 is not D3, as so many people are more than happy to point out. And past seasons in D3 is only a single data point.

I'm basing my assumptions on what's happening on PTR right now, and what the devs have said in regards to S1 and S2. I feel like my basis is stronger than yours.

You are wrong.

There are some season-only items. Paragon experience transfers at the end of the season to all other non-season characters. You get to keep the equipment you find. Nothing is really reset.

3 month seasons would be ideal and the fact that they will introduce one new Legendary per character type is nice. I honestly did not think they would make them only 3 months but cool.

Found ancient Sun shoulders that rolled very well.

and drum roll.... out of a random jar in a rift after the RG was killed, a Torch FINALLY dropped!!! a little low Dex roll, life per spirit spent, rerolled 8% dmg (gonna go for 10 whenever, already at 2M a pop) and gifted it. 3600 DPS... now gonna try for the ancient one

I had been trying for a Torch for over a week. Whether it was running GR after GR, or spending something like 15k shards with Kadala, I could not get one to save my life. Finally, a couple days ago, when doing a lvl 42 GR with SirPaulsio and some other clan members, I got one to drop. It needed a gift (which I didn't have at that time), but otherwise the roll wasn't bad. Not one hour later, I was doing a solo T6 rift, and I got an ancient one to drop. The roll was pretty good, though not amazing. It also needed a gift. That same evening I logged in to play with some RL friends, and I got a gift from the first RG we encountered.

Now I'm still trying to get a good Tzo Krin's Gaze. I've gotten 3 from Kadala, but none have had 6% crit and/or a socket, natively, so I keep trying for one of those. I'm kicking ass right now though, which is ramping up the fun factor a good bit.

It's amazing what you can do with the right equipment. I have yet to complete FB with my non-season wizard. But even with some good equipment and 2 million + sheet damage, I have trouble with T6 stuff, but my season FB wizard (with 1 million sheet damage) can solo T6 and do grifts to ~32 solo (maybe more, but I haven't really pushed it).

I would like to know too

I thought you were all tapped out, had seen it all. Looks like you should jump back in with a monk. Level yourself a gem of ease in S2, get that sunwuko, torch, tzo krin/leoric's, and gungdo.

Monk can be fun when it gets going.

My monk is a ton of fun right now. T6 is a total breeze for him. Not that that is all that impressive anymore, but I think he clears T6 as easy if not easier than my pre-nerf/change M6 DH (who had well above average gear). My sheet DPS, once I get all my buffs going, is like ~2.3M. That doesn't count my 45% elite damage or my 56% fire damage.

I use the fire Wave of Light rune, Explosive Light. I'm told it isn't very good for higher rifts (I guess people do lightning?), but it's been great so far. The highest GR I've soloed so far was a lvl 36. That was with my Tempest Rush build though, and also before I got two Unitys. I haven't really pushed myself since then to see what I can do now. Maybe 40 isn't out of the question.

I've been actually trying some solo progression lately. Every time I try 45+ I get Rime for the boss. Why, RNGesus, why?

Yeah, the highest I've taken fire WoL/EP build is 39. 40ish is where the extra damage from the lightning WoL starts to become necessary. Fire WoL/EP is awesome for T6 runs though. Clears everything really fast and easily. I just love watching an entire screen burn from the EP spread. It's fun.

debating rolling a dh in season now, I have all the M6 pieces, wondering if I should try my season luck at finding a kridershot.

o.0 Dat torch tho. Holy moly I'm jealous. I've found 3 so far and haven't been close to that in damage. 3750ish is my best with socket and 10% damage.

I have an EP monk and it's SO MUCH FUN. I run Inn'a chest instead of cindercoat and leroic's crown with a diamond for high cooldown (aka epiphany).

That's also a really nice SoJ. 30% increase on elites.

My question is this: You find bane of the trapped better than bane of the powerful? Or is the bane of the trapped damage multiplied by the SoJ modifier and not additive?

How are you controlling your enemies?

I kinda lied lol. I'm taking a break on LoL because my duo partner is away for couple of weeks. I'm now nearly paragon 400 in season 2 now lol
I'm playing a DH and it's pretty fun to play, my goal now is to find a kridershot and craft a good hellfire amulet. ^^
Feel free to add me, I'm mostly on midnights.

Kridershot isn't that great anymore. Whatever 2H Crossbow with the highest damage range you find is.

I'm using both BotT and BotP. Bane of the Trapped is multiplicative damage though, afaik, and BotP is additive. I may try to run Zei's Stone of Vengeance though (if I start using Tzo Krin's Gaze) because that is also multiplicative. I'm not sure how I'll get a control impairing effect on enemies from range though, so I may go Gogok instead of BotT if I go Zei's.

Do you mean how am I applying a control impairing effect for BotT to work? I often fight in melee range, or close to it. If you weren't already aware, BotT, once you get it to lvl 25, slows/snares all enemies within 15 yards. That counts as a control-impairing effect, and thus makes those enemies qualify for the BotT damage bonus.
