I bought this back in the Fall for 360 (Ultimate Edition) to play couch co-op with family members (and had loads of fun then, but haven't played for months).

I'm now thinking hard about getting this with Blizzard's 50% off ($40 total for base game + expansion), but hesitant because this means I'll have to start over from scratch with my characters (I wish there's an option for character import!)

How fast/easy it is currently to powerlevel with help of a geared up character?

0-70 in a couple hours with the help of a T6+ player.

0 - 70 in about an hour.

Running Act I bounties and then rifting at T6 with those keys gets you to 70 pretty quick. If you want all the caches for more legendaries at 70, that takes a bit longer.

If you get in a group with us, I don't know of anyone that wouldn't help you. A group could run split bounties, so you'd get experience for way more finished quests and the extra caches to hopefully jump right into T1 after hitting 70. We'd probably all drag you through some grifts as well to help you get geared faster.

Basically, powerleveling and gearing shouldn't be an issue. I have open slots, I'd gladly create a level 1 toon just to help you get leveled faster (Because I could start a lvl 1 T6 game where you would not on a new account).

Yeah, the point is you get more drops when in a group. Don't forget that loot share is a pretty awesome source for gear you may need from someone that's likely just going to crunch it.

Playing in groups is better overall. More XP, more gold, more gear. Funny how that 4 player limit kills group gameplay.

I do have always played solo. It is too bad that it sounds as though solo players are penalized.

If you can clear faster solo than in a group, it's more efficient to play solo. It really just depends on who you group with.

Also, the bonuses aren't so large as to make solo play pointless. However, once you get powerful enough, T6 with 3 other people in the game isn't any more difficult than T6 with no one else in the game with you, so you may as well just be in a group even if you're not grouping.

No worries. We're all friends here and willing to party it up!

I'll admit that my play times aren't very conducive to most others, but I'm more than often willing to party with anyone.

Usually when no one else is on I'll just pop in a public game for a few rounds. Also, there's a decent amount of communities for all major aspects of the game. So that helps as well.

Also if you are not at a high level it does not matter we can carry you and they have done that with me and others.

i usually play for an hour or two and play with whoever has open games in our clan. People will let you know if they only want to run solo or have a specific goal, e.g. leveling gems.

On my Seasonal Barb I completed a level 35 GR without double Unity and it was painful. I don't think I can go beyond that .

Then I logged into my NS Barb and ran some GRs. I did a 41 easily then cleared a 42 with about a minute left. My GR 43 key is waiting on me.

Yep, even though I don't really try to get that far in seasonal, it is fairly fun to just hang out in group with the other guys and do some rifts or try and not get killed too much in the higher tiers. At worse you'll have a bunch of money and gems to add to your non-seasonal account at the reset.

The Seasons start and end. Blizz introduces items in the Season that are only available in the Season....until that Season ends, then the new items are available in regular game play.

Some season-only cosmetic items as well. Season 3 is going to have a new player portrait and pennant for your toons.

But it's mostly a chance to do a fresh "rush." Start from scratch, gear a fresh toon, upgrade artisans, re-collect gold, etc.

Season mode = Start from level 1
When season ends your season progress will be erased, however all the loot you gain, gold, gems, items etc will be transferred to your non seasonal profile.

If you like the 'new start feeling' then play seasons but imo seasons is a waste of time unless you have 10 hours every day on D3. All you get in seasons is a new portrait and seasonal items which is all shit and 99% of them are replaceable by normal leg items.

And Season 3 is going to have a ton more season exclusive items than Season 2 did.

I mean, I agree that seasonal play might not be for me either, but at least I don't crap on it the way you do.

You did say "99%", so I would argue that the Gungdo Gear bracer, for the monk, would most definitely fall in that 1%. They're immensely useful/powerful for large/tight packs of mobs.

How does the Chant of Resonance skill work when you have the Inna Set bonus?

Is everyone planning to play Season 3? If so i am thinking of doing a Crusader this time.

Being that he doesn't have a mantra allotted an active skill slot it looks like chant of resonance provides him some spirit regen, 4 spirit/sec for a mantra learned. If the innas bonus stacks that's not too bad, if not its useless as a passive.

Edit, google is my friend, Inna's 4 piece bonus does not process the spirit gen, so I don't know what that guy is doing.

I will probably roll a season 3 barb. Like most others....
